I totally disagree My daughter is only going to be 9 months old when we go to Mexico. I have more fun with her than I do most people. Most parents know that there is not easy access to baby food/supplies.. this is why they bring their own. I have been on vacation twice with my little one and I know this. I can't imagine NOT bringing my daughter and letting her experience different cultures. Also, children under 2 fly for free on most airlines and stay free at most resorts/hotels. If someone invited me to their wedding and either told me or put on the invitation that it was Adult Only I would not be offended in the slightest. On the other hand, if they said nothing at all I would never just FORCE my child on other people (not really sure what that means since I would be the only one taking care of her). I would definately call to inquire about bringing her or not. I didn't say anything about children on my invitations, but I just thought it would be a given since I have a daughter and she would obviously be with us. But, I did have a couple phone calls from guests wondering if they could bring their children. So, hopefully yourguests will do the same.

So, I'm having a DW wedding because I don't want a huge production. But, there are a few things that are important to me, such as cocktail party, music, horse & carriage, & photos. I really didn't think that was asking for much.. I thought wrong. My parents were suposed to help us pay for most of this. My real dad was going to help as well. Well, my mom tells me that she talked with my dad and TOLD him he HAD to pay for everything now. My dad cannot afford that and that's fair enough. But, I think my dad is afraid of my mom and told her that it was fine and he would. I know that's it's not fine. I mean, granted, my father didn't pay child support because he was a drunk and drank away all his money and did some messed up things when I was a child. I'm over it and I don't think my dad owes me anything anymore. I did at one point, but I'm an adult now and I'm passed all that. We have a pretty good relationship now and he has got his life together and that's all I can ask for. My parents (mom & step-dad) are comfortable and can afford the luxuries in life. Now, I'm not saying that they should pay for all of this because they have more money. But, give my dad a break. My mom orginally said that they would pay for half and my dad could pay for half.. I thought that was fair. Now, she is throwing the fact that they paid for my Bridal Shower and a few other things and didn't ask him for anything. I think my mom feels like my dad owes me the world, but my step-dad has been there for me and he is my "dad".. the dad that every father hopes to be. I feel like I wasn't cheated at all, in fact I think it all worked out the way it was suposed to. Also, my parents bought a house back in Ontario and said that we could have it. Great! Except for the fact that I left Ontario (I live in Alberta now) for a reason.. because I didn't WANT to live there. Please note that we will be paying the mortgage/utilites.. etc.. it's not free. Well, FI wants to move and thinks it would be a great move for us because we are renting an apt right now and he wants our daughter to have a yard and house to grow up in. I come from a small city as well and the crime rate is alot lower.. it's a good place to raise your children. So, I said fine, we will move because it's what's best for our family.. sacrifices!! So, we are moving. Now, my mom keeps throwing the house in my face!! Like this is the reason they feel they shouldn't have to pay for anything for the wedding. I understand this.. to a degree. My parents gave my brother $6000-$7000 for his wedding and so they have evened it out by buying this house. This house that they have put $10,000-$15,000 of their own money into for renos... Another thing I didn't ask them to do.. they just did. So, my issue is that I didn't ask them to buy this house.. I didn't ask them to offer it to us and I'm really tired of hearing about it. We wouldn't be moving a month after our wedding if it wasn't for this stupid house. I would be getting the small/inexpensive wedding that I want if it wasn't for this stupid house. I'm really starting to resent this house.. and my parents for buying it. Maybe I'm just stressed out.. but my parents are helping. Even though my mom calls me or when I call her she says.. Don't stress or worry about anything?! Ok... so don't make it stressful for me. This is our day.. I feel like I'm in this alone............

We want kids at our wedding, they are part of our family. Plus, we have a 6 month old daughter, who I can't wait to bring to Mexico! My niece is coming and she is 1 year old... I don't know if anyone is bringing their kids. It's hard to find a babysitter and I don't think I could be away from my daughter for that long. You don't have to babysit them and I'm sure they will be in bed by 9pm.. I know mine will!! My parents live in Ontario and I live in Alberta so it's also a chance for them to see their grandaughters. If you don't want kids at your DW then you should book at an Adults Only Resort and let people know this ahead of time. Also, be aware that some people will have a hard time finding a sitter or they may just simply not want to leave their kids at home. Please disregard my posts!! I just recieved my bags and I ordered the $0.69 bags not realizing that they were GIFT TOTES!! I'm horrified and now I don't know what to do..UGH!!

Has anyone had a membrane sweep? I had one with my daughter because I wanted it to happen before my induction date. So, I went to my doc apt on Tuesday and had one (It hurts so bad.. I screamed in the doctor's office!!) then I went into labour Wednesday early morning and had my daughter that night.

I'm so pumped!! People are starting to book!! I feel better now.. I was getting worried no one was going to book. I had to push them to start booking, but it turned out in our favor

We are changing resorts as well!! We are staying at the Moon Palace until May 6th and then another Palace Resort for the rest of our stay. We aren't taking a honeymoon, so this is like a mini getaway! I think a few people know this, but it doesn't matter to me if they care or not. We need some alone time. It's your wedding/honeymoon so you should do what makes you happy, not your guests Good Luck!

Ok, so I ran the idea by my mom because it's something I really want to do. I have been on this forum for about 4-5 months now and I see all these amazing pictures and almost any bride who hasn't done a TTD session, regrets it! Personally I would skip all the other photos just to have TTD photos... but FI wouldn't have that. Anyways, back to my mom, she told me that she thought it sounded stupid and like a waste of money. I asked her if I could borrow the money to put the deposit down.. it's not like she is paying for it! I will pay her back.. FI likes the idea, but I don't think he wants it as much as I do. This is the one most important thing to me for this wedding and no one cares......... Thanks for listening..

Well I will have to definately check out my gym, they just opened about 8 months, and see if they have slots for an ifit card. I know that i can plug in my Ipod and use the touch screen to change the song/play/pause. I was going to do my Shred video and I'm going out for dinner instead.. Blah!

I have been e-mailing so many photographers to get some prices for a TTD session and a few have e-mailed me back with alright prices. Michael from CWP contacted me and his prices are GREAT and his gallery looks amazing too. Has anyone dealt with CWP before or know anyone who has? Advice.. Opinions.. Thanks
