  4. That is so cool!!! I heard about this on the radio on my way home from work...I thought the caller who said he saw it was on glue....lol. I would have loved to see that!!!!
  5. Sorry to hear that you're feeling blue! Honestly, I think this is something that every couple experiences! The honeymoon phase is not meant to last forever...BUT that being said-I think the honeymoon phase reaches a different level as the relationship progresses. My hubby and I can definitely get "disconnected" at times...life, work, money, stress, bills etc get in the way and the little things (cute text messages, calling to just say Hi, kissing, etc) can get forgotten...but somehow we always manage to get back to that "place" and reconnect. You BOTH must be willing to put the effort in. In my opinion, communication & actions are most important in this situation. Maybe try having a date night once a week/month...instead of calling him at work (and feeling like crap after because he can't talk) just text him a cute message. I am also a true believer that "thank you's" go a long way....try and make a habit to say thank you (even if it's just him taking out the garbage, or brushing the snow off your car!). Hopefully he'll follow suit and start to thank YOU for cooking, cleaning etc. I have so many thoughts, so i apologize if this came out all jumbled....Keep us updated!
  6. We bought our BM's and GM's attire....I felt bad because they were already spending money to come to the wedding and I didn't want to ask for them to fork out more $$ for the suits and dresses.....but that's just me. I think "tradition" is they pay for their own...But in the end, I think it's really up to what you & your FI want to do.

GOOD LUCK! ...Or do what Jacqueline said! I like her response better! Lol. You are entitled to a bridezilla moment!!!
  8. I totally understand your frustration!!!! What if you just went ahead and purchased the dress for her?? It may relieve some stress off you!

I can't STAND Alex (the one who's married to Simon). For the life of me, I can't figure out why she's on this show....she has terrible hair!!! (I know that's mean, but HONESTLY!)
  10. I just saw that The Real Housewives of Orange County are coming back for another season!! I'm excited!!! Haha. (I have never seen the Atlanta one before....) It's not the most intellectual show, but I love it for the drama!! Lol.

  12. Now that the wedding is over, I am also EXTREMELY BORED!!!! I saw this thread, and wanted to start it up again! I was wondering what some hobbies of the BDW members are I like to read, but I can only do that so much....cooking is slowly starting to become an interest.... but I want to know of what some of you like to do Maybe it'll give me some ideas and/or inspiration!!

  14. In Canada "Boxing Day" is like Black Friday....
  15. I think this is completely normal....you said it perfectly in your last paragraph--this is a huge transition for both of you!!! You are now sharing your life with someone, whereas before you were used to having your own space. WHen my husband and I first moved in together, it was definitely a struggle! I think any couple would tell you that. I have also been told that the first year of marriage is the most difficult. It's hard to hear that since we'd all the love to have the "fairytale" of being newlyweds and live happliy ever after.... but realistically though-with life, the way the economy is going and the stress of EVERYTHING it's bound to cause some struggles!! I think it starts to become a big deal when the respect for one another starts to dissapear and you don't look at him like a partner and a best friend anymore. Hang in there girl!!
  16. Sorry-I mistyped the site: RIDERS DISCOUNT : The source for high quality motorcycle products
  17. This is probably a long shot, but i thought maybe you girls could help me out!! My husband wants a motorcycle jacket for xmas, and I have found the one he wants online at www.ridersdicount.com. My question is: Has anyone ever ordered from this site or know anything about it The jacket is about $100 bucks cheaper if I were to buy it on this website (with free shipping) than if I bought it here at home. Is it too good to be true?? I am not a huge online shopper, so if anyone could guide me in the right direction, i would be very grateful!!! Thanks BDW members!!!!
  18. Our cake tasted great! I am a believer that cake is a total waste of money though-half the time it doesn't get eaten and ends up being thrown out. I didn't even have any, except for what DOug and I fed eachother. I had real flowers to decorate the cake, and they put the chessy wedding couple as the topper-i hated that, but in the end, who really cares?? To each their own though-if you have the funds and want to upgrade, then go for it!
  19. I definitely think it's okay to have white for BM's dresses-A gf of mine did that (she also had a DW) and it looked awesome! That's the nice thing about going away to get married-Not everything has to be tradition! rach220 has a point though-make sure you can't see their under garments!!!
  20. So...I have to go against everyone here and say that I don't understand what all the hype was about?? I read the first book in the series and found it very sloooow. Am I just missing something?? I felt like I was waiting for something big to happen, and it never did! I was very excited to read it as EVERYONE is talking about it, but now I'm not sure if it's even worth it to read the rest of the series.....did most people find the first book slow??
  21. I think it is pretty common to have multiple weddings in one day at resorts....I think there were 2 or 3 the day we got married. I was worried about it at first, but I honestly didn't even see the other weddings that were going on. I was too consumed by MY day!
  22. Alyssa-You are an absolutely STUNNING bride!!! I love your TTD pictures....they're very sexy! Congratualtions!!!!
  23. I really like the mermaid dress!! You can tell in your pic that once the alterations are done, it will look stunning on you!! I say flaunt those curves baby!!!!
