I apologize if this thread is long, but this issue is REALLY bothering me and I don't know what to do... (My thoughts are all over the place and this may not make sense!) Here's the story-One of my bridesmaids has been dating a guy long distance (and I say "dating" loosely!!!) for about 4 months. She asked me if I cared that he came down to Cabo for a few days....seeing as she's my best friend and I have never met this guy, i thought it would be a great way for them to see eachother and for my DH and I to meet him. This guy (we'll call him "John") arrived the same day as us, just a few hours later. He came, she introduced us and then THAT WAS IT!!!!!!! I DID NOT see her for 3 f***ing days. I knew going on this trip that people were going to do their own thing and I NEVER had the expectation that my guests had to be glued to my side. Everyone spent money to come and this was their vacation too. But seriously!!! She was my bridesmaid! (A shitty one at that!) I don't care that he came, but all I wanted was for her to make an effort to come say HI to me, have lunch with us or whatever. She was so consumed by him, that when I confronted her about this, she had no idea why I was upset and said I was being the bitch and acting selfish. I AM NOT A SELFISH PERSON, but every girl is entitled to one day and this was mine. It got to the point that my guests were asking what happened to her, my DH getting angry with how she was treating me and rolling their eyes of how she retarded she was acting. When "John" left, she made her re-appearance. I think she could tell things were strained between us though as the tension was pretty thick. I wasn't actually going to say anything until we got back becuase the last thing I wanted to do was fight-but I was being passive-aggressive so I had to tell her. When I confronted her, she yelled at me to the point people on the resort were staring at us...she also threw in my face that she spent sooooo much money to come....but what pisses me off about that is she openly admitted to me months before that she probably wouldn't have gone in to debt for this trip if she hadn't been going to the bar everynight. I NEVER would have done this to her, so maybe that's why I feel so sad about it??!?! Here's what I'm struggling with- -This was her vacation too, so she should be able to do what she wants -She never sees this guy she's "dating" so I should be more sensitive -She thinks I'm over it, but I'm NOT so how do i tell her....or do I? -This trip really made her true colors show, and I'm not sure that I like who she is.

I'm going to have to go with the girls here....the color is pretty close...and it doesn't look bad at all!

Very well written Sunbride!! I work in the oil industry (as do most Albertans! ), and while the price of oil is low right now, it will bounce back. I ditinctly remember 2+ years ago oil was at this price....then it sky rocketed thsi past summer and now it's gone down again. I don't personally think we are heading towards an economic crisis...it is shitty that our dollar is low right now but it will go back up! Think positive!!!

I'll play too! Salt gets me every time-I don't have much of a sweet tooth (No particular order) -Cheese and crackers -Pickles -Salt & Vinegar chips (I onlylike the Lays brand!) -homemade spinach dip!!! -fast food-i hate to admit that! ...okay, now I'm starving!!

We were just at the Riu Palace in Cabo for our wedding....I was aware of the theft issues before we went, so I was SUPER anal about locking everything up. (I even locked up my makeup!!) There were some people in our group who had some $$ stolen-luckily it was nothing substantial...but the point is: DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING THAT IS OF VALUE LYING OUT IN THE OPEN IN YOUR ROOM...LOCK IT UP! That is what the safe is for!!!! My DH and I as a result, never had anything taken from our room. To ease your mind, maybe give your guests a head's up about the theft issues and reiterate that they need to use their room safe.

This was the best day of my life!!! ENJOY!!! More....

I was a HUGE cry baby!! Lol...and so was my husband! It was very cute. We wrote our own vows and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get through mine because I was sobbing! You won't ruin the pictures-don't worry!

My mom, sister and I got our hair done for my wedding at Suzanne Morel's salon....I cannot express how unbelievably impressed I was with her and her staff. Unfortunately she was unable to come to the Riu Palace, but her salon is super close and easy to find. (She's behind the Office Depot.) Also a bonus-I got my orchids that I wore in my hair from Cabo Flowers who is 2 doors down from Suzanne. Suzanne doesn't actually do your hair, but she is very involved and works with you to get EXACTLY what you want. She is a perfectionist, and this was comforting as I am super picky about my hair. Yes her prices are a little higher, but you truly get what you pay for. I would recommend her and the girls working for her in a heartbeat! SInce i know you girls like pictures, here are some: (BTW-the orchids in my hair only cost $12.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shocked!!!)

Hi girls!! We are back from Cabo!! Our wedding at the Riu Palace was amazing! We had such a great time. I will write a review etc. when I get more time, but in the mean time I wanted to show the idea I came up with for a ring pillow. I really couldn't find ANYTHING that I liked, so my mom came up with this awesome, beachy idea! Enjoy!

I am sooo jealous! We just got back from Cabo on Saturday. Our wedding was absolutely amazing!! You girls will love the Riu Palace-everyone in our group had an amazing time!! I wish I was still there.....

It is now a Category 4 hurricane....F***, F***, F***!!!!!!! It's still 700+Km away from the Baja so maybe it's good it'll strengthen fast and then dissipate? I have been crying off and on all day....I'm so friggn' stressed.
