  10. I searched the threads and it came back with too many hits apparently, but Im looking for a thread or your personal wedding invitation wording that incorporated the DW. Please post any wording that you used, found and loved, etc! Thanks!

  12. Just to verify, what needs to be notarized and sent to the resort? This is the first marraige for us both so I thought it was just: BC PP Notarized and sent in, correct?
  13. Like this, I would like to see the different setups they have.

Not sure what resort you'll be at, but the supermarket in the Blue Diamond plaza (east of the airport, across from the new RIU and the Burger King) has small burlap bags of blue mountain coffee, mini liquor bottles, small rum cakes, and lots of snack foods and candies that are traditional Jamaican brand items that will make your OOT bags more authentic and unique than the ones just just contain your typical stuff like mosquito repellant, sunscreen, etc. Blue Diamond is easily spotted off the main road and is very clean and organized. Plus you won't have to worry about haggling with vendors, and is a one stop shop for everything you could want. In the same plaza is a pharmacy that has a few other souvenier type items as well....again, a local store so very cheap. Good luck! Thanks for this info. I bought few OOT bag items but plan to wait till I get to the island to go to the store. I havent had ginger beer in so long, cant wait! Question: Whats in Ochi close to the RIU?

  17. Im working with Selena now to get a definite price for a two tier wedding cake similiar to this one: This is the message I received from her: Hi Mo, For 25 people you can have a 10" and 6" cake. That would be the smallest the next size would be 12" and 8". Sorry when you say rum cake is this the traditional Jamaican fruit cake or my light fruit cake or a rum cake like the tortuga rum cake? the Vanilla cake will be at the bottom? My transportaion cost to Ocho Rios is JA$15000 The decorating cost on the cake you sent for a 2 tier using my sugar flowers is JA$18000 When you let me know which size and which flavour cake I can give you a final price on the cake. If you have family coming from Kingston maybe they will transport the cake to cut down on the cost . Regards Selena The amount works out to 33,000JA and about 375US. Without transportation costs ( may have a relative pick the cake up), I'm looking at 205US. I haven't decided on outsourcing the cake just yet, I may go with the one provided by the resort and save some money.

  19. Im looking for pictures of the decor and table set up at ROR for the semi private reception dinners at Mammee Bay. I'm trying to decide if the chair covers and additional linens are a necessity!
  20. I had planned to purchase the covers but the chairs at RIU have arms and I couldn't find covers that worked. I may also go with the plain white chairs to cut down on costs.
