When I bought them there was a pale pink ribbon on them and so I just pulled that ribbon out, attached the orange ribbon (Joanns again) to the hook with some hot glue, added hot glue to the hole the hook was in, and replaced the ribbon and hook.

I love the tousled loose bun the best, which I think is so cute on anybody! LOL! Also, I think it's a really good idea to have a curly/wave quick weave if you have a relaxer or your hair just isn't the type to curl naturally. That way, you don't have to worry about keeping it straight. You wash out the salt, put some conditioner on it (which did you know you can LEAVE IN almost any kind of conditioner? yup...overnight, or even a full day.) and then just oil and brush it into the Quick Weave. No sense in worrying about keeping it straight for the entire week or however long you'll be there. Make the humidity work FOR you with your style and then you can just make sure to keep it straight the day of the ceremony. Thats the way I'm gonna work it. If you're going to be in the water a LOT, thats definitely my suggestion. Now, as far as I know, water + quick weaves = a hot mess! Wont the glue wash out

I'm going to Orlando on thursday to meet with the stylist and I may go ahead and get it done if I have time. if not I'll get it done on the 21st so that I have my hair the way I'll wear it in Jamaica during my fitting. I'll post pics once it's done and then you guys will have a better idea of what it(invisible braids) looks like. Paulssoulmate, I'm officially stalking you for pictures now! LOL! I had invisibles last year and that was my first thought, but I was told that my hair was too long for them now. How long is your hair? And are you using human hair? BTW, YGM!
  16. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! This has been my biggest concern because i dont plan to stay out of the water and love to take pics, so I have to look fly when I come out the water! LOL! Has anyone purchased any bulk braid hair that will curl and can be straightened?

The hair I use is pretty expensive, but it's worth it because when I get my weaves re-done I can use the same hair. I order my hair from a company in California called Extensions Plus. Here is their website Extensions Plus In the shower. This was my second sew in and since I washed the first one at home, I figured it shouldn't be that hard. I'm seriously considering invisible braids with human hair now. I think that may be my best bet :.)
  18. Big3n09, Have you considered using the stylists at the resort? That was my initial plan but I didn't really want the hassle of wearing a weave, which is so not me, and not enjoying the beautiful water in Jamaica. We arrive 3 days before the wedding and I just cant see me not in the water :.(

Now I guess not it was the salt water thanks for the info. Clorine must tangle it also. I just won't be getting my hair wet until after the wedding. So okay, I had a hair trial done (sew in) so that I could learn to work with the hair before the wedding. I used Remy Saga hair (at 80 bucks per bag X 2) and hoped for the best. *excuse the martini, lol!* It looked amazing for two weeks and since I knew that I would have to maintain it in Jamaica I washed it myself.....bad idea. It took me over 2 hours to untangle and dry the hair. I had it in for 6 weeks total which to me was a waste of money. I was opposed to braids for the wedding but I may have to reconsider after that fiasco.

I thought I tagged them as well, but couldn't find them! Hopefully theres a few brides that have some good answers now! My hair is about chin length and I plan to wear a simple chignon for the wedding itself. A friend suggested tree braids and I found these pics online that I like. The first is of the tree braids and the second is individual braids which is another style option. I think that both can be styled nicely for the wedding and are low maintenance.
  21. This question is for the AA destination bride(or anyone that can help!) :.) What do you plan to do with your hair? ::I posted this months ago and cant find the link:: I initially planned to get a sew in but think now that braids may be my best option for 9 days in the sun and sand. I want a style that will look good on our wedding day without having to sit poolside for most of our trip. Past, present and future brides, post your pics and ideas here. With only 7 weeks to go, I have to make some decisions!
  22. You have no idea!!! With only a few weeks left, Im so nervous, and that was my biggest issue! Check!!!

  25. Bump!! Any help ladies? Can anyone identify this jewelry? This is the exact look I'm going for.
