  1. Destination Wedding Photography Hope that helps and good luck to you! I arrive in Jamaica on your wedding day, congrats!
  2. I would love to see some of her work! My wedding is coming up next month and I am so excited to work with her, thanks for any help!
  3. Relax and enjoy your day!!! I know that you will be a beautiful bride and everything will be perfect! I cant wait to see the pics!
  4. Not sure but thanks for the idea, something casual like that sounds nice, and who doesn't love seafood!

Here are some pics...excuse how I look, I just came off the dance floor at my friends wedding. Thanks Maida! I love your hair like that!

What style are you going with? On a side note, I'm beginning to wonder if we need a make up thread. I went into the one posted here tonight and got COMPLETELY discouraged when two out of the four "best" brands that the ladies are talking about don't carry foundations anywhere near what could be used for black skin. I'm gonna need to find something that will wear well and look natural in pics. What do you guys think? I know right!!!! It looks good and she isnt coming to Jamaica.... That would have totally solved all of my hair problems! My hair will be similar to hers but with hair left out on the sides and back as well so that I can wear a ponytail. Now about the makeup, try Sephora, I was able to find some great foundation there, its called Cargo Blu Ray, heres the link: Sephora: CARGO blu_ray™ Pressed Powder: Pressed Powder The plus is that they can get you a sample of anything in the store to try at home :.)

I know that her bakery is located in Kingston and she will deliver, but the delivery charge can be very expensive. She explained to me that since the roads are less than perfect, crossing the island can be a long drawn out trip that sometimes consumes and entire day. I have family on the island so we eliminated that cost by having someone pick the cake up and bring it to the resort. BUT, her cakes are amazing and well worth the hassle! Most of the other vendors dont have websites, pics, or any reviews that I could use to make a decision.

I normally wear a lighter color in my hair when I get weaves, but was too cheap to get the colored hair! LOL! But I loved the end result, no more blond me! Now about the wedding hair, I had my heart set on a sew in, then braids, but now I think I'm back to the sew in BECAUSE a friend of mine that isn't going to the wedding :.( , will be in Chicago until the end of the month and she does fabulous sew ins!!! The plan is to have her do the install and have my stylist cut and style the hair before we leave for Jamaica. Heres a picture of her sew in that she did on Saturday, in our hotel room, herself...lol!

I spoke with Chandlyn and she said that they only need a copy of the mariage license so keep that in mind ladies. I have to find out the turn around time for the certificate because FI will not be home until the 21st and we leave on the 2nd.

We found the guys outfits at K and G as well. They are wearing white button down shirts and tan pants, both from Sean John. Fiancee is wearing a white Sean John linen suit and to add some color, we went with a cognac colored belt and shoes, and a colored tie to make the white shirt pop. I considered a colored shirt as well but decided against it. Shoes and belt are this color: And I like this color tie for him:

  16. Thanks, but is there a photographer that you can recommend? Im getting married in June so that would be too late anyway, lol! Thanks!
  17. Ive noticed that many of the ladies here get together to have B pics done and was wondering if there were any marathons going on in Chicago within the next few weeks. If not, I'd love a recommendation for a photographer in either Chicago or Indiana, TIA!!!
  18. I already booked with a photographer but loved their pics so I checked back. I actually picked them first and then booked with my current photog. I was hoping that they had a cancellation though :.) Lifelike Silk Wedding Flowers: Artificial Bridal Floral Arrangements Of Top Quality Thats the link to the website and they have been a pleasure to work with! I think tthat the prices are reasonable and they really work within your budget.

I was just sharing my experience which was no trouble with the legal marriage in Jamaica thing (knock on wood). Thanks Mo! Its very helpful to hear from a past bride!
