This is still a party ! We are getting married tomorrow as planned ! And I will have to stay away from the office for 72 hours when I get back. My parents were going to Cuba afterwards but had to cancel. Apparently all airports are closed in Cuba right now (which sounds strange to me but this is what I heard). And my brother are going to have to stay in quarantine for 7 days when they come back to Singapore... 7 days at home !!! Other than that, everything is fine. I hope the archeological sites reopen next week when we're on honeymoon... otherwise we might shorten it maybe. Did not decide on this yet. I'm so happy for you! You better give us a teaser pic afterwards!!

Oh I'm so happy for you!!! That's so awesome everything is working out for you.
  5. We don't have torrid out here either. I think I would have knocked the hair dresser out also!! I really wanted to drop weight before the wedding, I kept procrastinating. Once the holidays hit, I decided against stressing myself out. I'm one that as soon as I stress I gain weight. I'm glad I decided against it. Maybe once I work a real day job instead of my horrid nights I'll be able to drop my weight again. Please make the economy better someone!!!
  6. If it's a really old commercial, it could be the VW one? Da da da....? YouTube - Trio - Da Da Da (clipe)
  7. I'm the same as Estella. The bad part is I'm only 5ft tall!! You know how hard it is to find bigger petite sizes?! I tend to luck out most in Kohls, Target (shirts mainly), and Sears. I also shop alot for tops in Marshalls. Oh let me not forget NY&Co. I love the fact most of there dress pants come in petite sizes.

I said well what about the deposit for the wedding - his response "nothing to do with us tough"!! wtf lol So I said well i'll wait if I can't go there i'll go somewhere else lol FI and I have agreed if we can't get married away we'll just bloody do it here at the end of the holiday lol I'm still leaning on sacrificing the FMIL to the swine flu gods! It can't hurt now can it?

  10. I used Business cards. Made the front up in publisher, the back I made up in word. Then detached them all, and laminated them. Used a hole punch and the plastic loops. Here's my thread of my pre wedding mailing. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t34742

If I don't pick something soon he's going to put his foot down and it will be the theme from Final Fantasy..... Is the version on itunes longer? I'm worried it won't be very long. I asked my dj friend to loop something, I'll see what he says. I'm changing my mind at the last minute!
  12. Jenny they look so good!! Did I miss your pro ceremony pics? And how did hubby like the BD book?

I so hope they lift the restriction for americans to go to Cuba. It is so pretty there, I'd go in a heartbeat!! All went well except my mother who apparently lost inches and has to get her dress taken in by NEXT Friday!! I also had to pick up some last minute stuff for the cruise since we leave saturday for Syracuse. I basically get to come home from there, wash clothes and pack for the wedding! What fun!! I'm glad you found a replacement BM! I can't figure out why people wait till the last minute! This is just so unfair. Yael, I'm so sad!! I can't believe they won't let them come back to work for 15 days, so lame. I'm crossing my fingers and saying my prayers for all you Mexico brides. I would have ended up in the looney bin by now if I was in your shoes.
  14. OMG I'm SO sorry for you girls going through all this drama! My heart goes out to Blkatz. I can't believe they are making such a big deal out of this. I guess they don't have anymore stories about the presidents dog that they have to scare everyone with the swine flu. I think I would be more scared to drink the water in Mexico then a flu!! I hope everything works out for our Mexico brides, I'm saying prayers for you girls and crossing my fingers!!!
  15. Once it comes in next week I'll post and let you girls know how it is. I like the idea of a silk ribbon around it!!
  16. I actually went with this. Acid free boxes - record storage boxes & negative storage Then I'll end up getting some nice wrapping paper or something I think. Thanks for all the idea girls!!
  17. I have the album done, I need the box to put it in and wrap it.
  18. Ok girls, what did you put your BD books in to give to your FH? I went to Michaels today, and nothing I could find was small enough. My book is an 8.5 x 11 magazine style book. I don't want to spend a ton of cash, but if it's really nice I may get it later on. I would like a wooden or just a nice heavy cardboard box. I have 2 weeks to get it, so I'm a little pressed for time!!

Now I don't have the time to play anything, including my DS!! 20. I love the 2 on the roof!!! And I totally know what you mean about not being at an ideal weight, but you look great!!! I felt the same way going into mine, but it was so worth it in the end!!
  21. Well I'm almost done all my DIY stuff! OMG! And I still have another week before we go to upstate NY the weekend before the wedding! I may have to find something else to do!!
  22. Oh sweetie, I SOOO know what you mean!!! I get home around 4am, so by the time I actually go to bed the lawn guys are mowing, the kids are running around screaming, oh lets not forget last fall when they where putting the new roof on our townhouse!! I've chalked it up to nature of the beast. And I've learned between all the outdoor noise, AND the FI snoring in 1 ear AND the cat snoring in the other ear, ear plugs are my best friend!

Some help would be appreciated. Is it possible to do an in port, beach wedding, and stay late enough on the beach to get sunset photos? If you do the wedding earlier, what do you do with the rest of your day How accommodating are cruise ships with allergies (I have celiac disease, and I can't eat gluten - I desperately don't want to be sick for my wedding). How are the cruise ship wedding co-ordinators to work with? Thanks in advance! It is totally possible to do your wedding on shore. We are actually getting married in Bermuda at a resort while docked there on our cruise. We dock at 9am, however we're don't have the taxi's picking everyone up until 5pm, then the ceremony at 6pm. I wanted to be able to get sunset pics also, and giving myself time to get ready and such is a big reason we decided on 6pm. What you have to take into consideration with wanting sunset pics is picking a cruise that doesn't leave until night, OR something that stays over night in the port like what we are doing in Bermuda. I am using my own planner in Bermuda. All of the cruise lines go through the same company for there weddings, it's just called something different through each cruise line. There has been girls that have had great luck with them, however if you want any real say of what resort/beach you use and various other items, make sure you have your own planner not through the cruise line. I've also heard alot of horror stories going through the cruise lines planners. As for your diet needs. Here is the FAQ question from Royal Caribbean, which is who we sail through. What type of special meals does Royal Caribbean offer? - Royal Caribbean International Hope this helps!! Feel free to post any other questions. There aren't many cruise brides, but there is a few of us!!
