  2. Ok-so I am a total DIY moron. I got the raffia fans and I am trying to thread them with my satin ribbon...I must not be doing it correct because I cant get the ribbon to go to the top of the handle...ugh! Any suggestions from you DIY ladies out there? I wish I could pay someone to do this

I would really like to hire someone to spend the time that we get ready, the ceremony, and the reception with us (then maybe get the resort photog to do the dance afterwards?), and then TTD the following day. I have seen Del Sol, Elizabeth Medina, and Nathaniel Thompson on line and really like their work (does anyone have any other suggestions??) but am not sure what I can expect for the budget? If anyone is planning the sort of same idea for their photography, would you mind letting me know? And am I missing anything important? Thanks a million!!! If you are looking for other photographers check out Vanessa Vargas and Claudia Rodriguez-both are excellent
  4. Trish I am so happy that everything worked out for you guys! Congratulations on becoming a MRS! Can not wait to see your pictures!
  5. He is $800 per hour not including the dance floor that he can provide for you. If you need more info let me know, I just booked with him and I have all the info still
  6. from what I understand from the girls that had to get moved the resort is taking care of everything for them. I guess the question is, do any of those resorts have your date open

So what are the options you ladies have been told that you can move to & they'll honor our prices? I've been given Dreams Cancun Barcelo Mayan Palace Iberostar Parisio (sp?) Does anyone have any opinions on these for us switching from DT? I heard the Barcelo's aren't that great except for this Mayan Palace one is only about a year old & really nice? Our TA would like us to decided TODAY, so I'd love input. Thanks, Laura Hey Laura- I am surprised your TA wants you to decide today since DT might be open for your wedding...
  8. We are using a DJ and there is only 25-30 of us. I know another bride on here did the same thing and she said that it turned out great. As long as the DJ plays fun music you will be in good shape
  9. We are hoping not to go over $20,000. This is including my dress, OOT bags, photographer, DJ everything...
  10. Casey your pictures came out so great! I noticed the one on your Signature picker and love it!!
  11. I love this idea actually! you might want to search MonicaBrandon in the Dreams Tulum thread-she did it by using fishing line
  12. Teesha I'm not sure where your TA heard that but they are not open as of today. I just got off the phone with a rep in the US and she said that they are still moving people to other resorts.
  13. We are having Jen from Turtle Bay Bakery do our cupcakes. She gets back to you really quick and was very reasonable in prices
