Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I was just in the Riviera Maya at the beginning of the month. I really don't think you can go wrong! The resorts I went to were Secrets Maroma and El Dorado Maroma. They were both great in their own ways and the beaches were gorgeous! You can't get away from beautiful beaches down there, so wherever you go I'm sure you will have a beautiful wedding! Welcome to the forum.

Congratulations! I shot a wedding at Secrets Maroma at the beginning of the month and it was absolutely gorgeous! The rooms, the pools, the beach, not to mention the food, everything was perfect. Now comes the hard part...Waiting until next March!

The best way to find out the current policies would be to ask your wedding coordinator at Paradisus if outside vendors are allowed. Someone in the DR forum might now a bit. Concerning average cost of photographers...That's a pretty broad question that has been discussed all throughout the forum. You may be able to find a photographer in Toronto or on this forum that is willing to go for travel expenses only. There may be some local DR photographers that won't have to travel, but your choices will be limited. You may find other Canadian or US photogs that will give you some discounts for the experience, or you may pay full price + travel for someone with a lot of experience that does high quality work. As in everything, you get what you pay for. Best advice, find photographers both at home and online whose work you like and start asking for quotes. Good luck!
