Oct 09..seems like FOREVEr away!! I think things will be less stressful and feel more "real": once airfare prices come out...have any of you booked anything else yet other than your resort?

I'm debating whether having our first dance be Song Bird-Eva Cassidy...or if I want my sister to sing it at the ceremony...any suggestions??

hmm..that would suck if they still made us pay for the photography in the package...maybe i'll see if we can use the photography included for the ttd the next morning?! Thanks for being so helpful !!

I'm just worried if I dont pay a deposit all of a sudden my "confirmed day" will be overlooked...that would be horrible!

QUESTION If we decide to hire Claudia Rodrigez do you think the WC would subtract the price of the photographyfrom our wedding package since we would be paying a seperate price for Claudia I hope so!

HI!! I am a future Dreams Cancun bride. I'm still in the very begining planning stages..but just thought that i would comment. The wedding cordinators seem to take a lot longer to contact me personally!! My travel agent has told me that the Dreams resort now have new policies where they will not allow outside vendors. Instead, you have to chose from their list of vendors for photography,dj,flowers etc. From my experience so far it doesnt seem like they will budge..BUT it is worth trying to ask if you can use certain vendors. I would say NOT to go with an outside wedding coordinator. I just dont know if it will be worth your money. One thing I do know is that no matter how busy the wedding coordinators are at the Dreams resorts they DO go out of their way to make sure that your day is everything that you wanted. If it's taking a while to get replies from them now I have heard that they are a lot better once it gets closer to your actual wedding date. So I emailed Cecelia Dumas (the photographer that i really want to hire) and she told me to ask my wedding coordinator for permission to photograph because almost all of her weddings have been shot at Dreams in Cancun!! So now I'm curious if they will let me purchase a day pass for her to be able to photograph...ANY THOUGHTS?? I'm NOT a big fan of Juan's photography and Claudia Rodrigez hasnt contacted me in 3 weeks!!

OK so I'm a little confused. My TA did not bring anything up regarding a deposit..she just called me a few days ago confirming that we got our first choice for a wedding date..WHAT IS THE DEPOSIT? THANKS SO MUCH!!

OK I'M CONFUSED!! The pictures that come with the wedding package..does that mean that either claudia rodrigez or juan navarro take them or do you mean that we are able to hire them and pay their seperate fee...45 minutes is deffinitly not long enough for photography! i'm looking for like 6 hours plus a ttd the next day!! does anyone know what claudia rodrigez charges she has taken FOREVEr to get back to me! THANKS!
