  2. I normally take 2 Benadryl if I can't fall asleep. Seems to do the trick. The best way is to take them the next night as soon as you get home from work and just pass out. You should sleep straight through the night. Heather
  3. Have fun planning. Heather

Sand Ceremony Minister - TREVOR: There are two children who will share in this marriage. Trevor and Alixzandra will now come forward to help us with the Blending of the Sands. The joining of this new family will have a deep influence upon them. We realize that in order for the home to be a happy one, it is essential that there be love and understanding between the children and the adults being married. For Trevor and Ali the celebration can be more than just witnessing. This is an opportunity for them to bring themselves into the new family and in a symbolic sense to give themselves to this new venture of the marriage of their father. Abbie and Doug, today you are making a life-long commitment to share the rest of your lives with each other and honor Doug’s children as well. Your family relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these individual containers of sand. One representing you, Abbie, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, one representing you, Doug, and all that you were and all that you are, and all that you will ever be and another container for each child. As you each hold your sand, the separate containers of sand represent your lives to this moment; individual and unique. As you now combine your sand together, your lives also join together as one family. You may now blend the sand together symbolizing the uniting of the children and bride and groom into one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will be your marriage and your family. Abbie, This is so beautifuly worded. Where did you find it? I have been looking for something to do for our AHR b/c I wanted to include his neice and nephew in some way. Maybe the kids can pour 2 colors and we can pour 2 colors. Any information would be great. Thanks, Heather
  5. I am so sorry for you and your friend. Just being supportive to her and her family is a great help. Just being by her side while she gets the help she needs is the best thing you can do. Heather

  7. I am going to have a shower b/c no one is coming to Jamaica with us. We are having an AHR a few months later so everyone invited to that will be invited to the shower. Heather
  8. Welcome Nikki. There are a lot of Jamaica brides here and you will get great ideas. Have fun planning. Heather
  9. I will say that I would honestly wait until after your wedding. I did not have implants done (I had a reduction) but I don't know if you want to chance that beore your wedding. Research your surgeon (I took a year to get into the surgeon I went to see) and make sure they are good at what they do. I am a nurse in a recovery unit and I have seen many girls come back after complications have occured from a not so great doctor. It will probably be one of the best things you do for yourself but just make sure you know your doctor. Weigh all the pros and cons (I lost some sensation after the surgery) and then decide if it is right for you. If you keep the size nature, you won't even notice that you are larger when you look back on your wedding pics. Heather
  10. Thanks guys. I went alone so its nice to have people see it.
  11. I am so thrilled. I found and put the deposit down on my dress. I tried to post a pic of it but I think it was too large. Here is the link if anyone wants to check it out CasaBlancaBridal.com: Best Seller/1831 Everyone just told me that I would know the right dress for me and you really do once you put it on. I can't wait to wear it. Heather
  12. Thanks guys. Maybe I could have the kids do some sort of sand ceremony. Thanks for the input.
  13. For everyone that recently just got married, what is everyone doing after their weddings? Is anyone having an AHR also? When we get married it will only be the 2 of us so our reception will be a few months after we return. I would like to include my FI's neice and nephew into the celebration at home. Does anyone have any ideas? He will be 4 and she will be 2. I know his SIL wanted the kids to be part of our wedding but it just didn't work out. I wanted to do something special but I am at a loss. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Heather

Taking vitamins since I haven't been getting everything from the food I eat. Also, I started eating every 2-3 hrs. As long as you plan your day, its not that bad. I have cheated a little but its good not to deprive yourself completely. I also started running. I was going to the gym for almost a full year consistantly and didn't see great results. I began running and I lost that 15 in about 3 months. I am up to 3 miles. I also take spin classes at least 1 time a week. If you want, we can keep each other motivated. The have a biggest loser on the forum but I saw the post too late. If they do another one I will join it. Money is a great motivator. Heather P.S. I love sweets. Sugar free jello and fudgscicles are a great alternative.
  15. Thank you guys so much for your great reviews. Can you tell me where you guys posted your pics? Thanks, Heather
  16. Thank you for the pics. Everyone looks amazing. The dresses and flowers were perfect. I also loved how you did your hair. Heather

When :Oct 11 2008 Where :Sandals Negril Beach Resort Thanks again Don't know if you talk to Tina (the WC) but she told me that no outside photographers allowed. You have to use theirs which is not cheap. If you need any of the info, let me know. Heather
  18. I am so happy that you guys are going this year. I will be so happy to hear your reviews and see your pics. We will all have to keep each other up-to-date. Thanks, Heather
  19. Hi Mrs R2B, I will also be marrying at Sandals Negril in April 2009. You will be going first so you will have to keep me posted. It is nice to see someone else on this board going to Negril. I chose Negril b/c I have already been to Montego Bay and I heard the best beaches are in Negril. My FI and I are defintely beach people so that is why we chose here. We will have to keep in contact and help each other out with any questions we might have. Heather
  20. Amanda, Can I ask a few more questions? Were you able to buy the CD of negatives. I keep asking my WC and she says that they do not do this. I will be buying pics (it will only be the 2 of us) but the packages are so expensive. I just wanted to be able to come home and give my family pics since they are unable to attend. For the sand ceremony do they still charge you if you bring your own supplies? I would like to do this but I don't think it is worth $100. Thanks for all the great advice. Would love to see some pics when you get the time to post them. Thank you, Heather
  21. I live in PA and I am not getting married here first. I was told that our marriage will be legal in the States. I do know that you will have to wait awhile to receive your documents (about 15 weeks).
  22. That was some review. Although we are not going to these resorts, I really enjoyed some of the general information you gave. Thank you, Heather
  23. Congrats. That is definitely one of the best feelings. Have a great time planning. Heather
