  1. Hi all, I just wanted to share these super cute starfish xmas ornaments I found on ebay. They were so cute that I had to buy them and they're even cuter in person! I don't know if I'm going to engrave the back of them but I really like the idea of our guests remembering us every christmas. The seller is just4funtoys. I would highly recommend them! Here they are...
  2. hahaha I just posted that in the Canadian thread!! I'm off to buy another 10.
  3. For those Canucks looking to bring bubba kegs down, they're 50% off at Canadian Tire until Wednesday!!
  4. same here, the lingerie's going to be for later. I plan on wearing the white thong and comfy bra.
  5. well we learned the expensive way that you cannot print on dark coloured paper. So I guess it depends on what kind of decorative paper you're looking at. In the end we designed the background we wanted and printed it on white cardstock.
  6. FYI Tommy Bahamas has some amazing linens in their wedding essentials section. If you're willing to spend the $$$ Fh is wearing the "Private Pass Camp" linen shirt for the wedding. Here's the link.... Men's Wedding Shirts

  12. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but nothing gets rid of wrinkles once you have them. believe me Ive tried them all. BUT there is a cream called freeze 24.7 that fills in the gaps. Its like a primer but really really REALLY good! I swear by it! One jar costs $150. But it is SO SO worth it. For the canadian gals, they sell it at Shoppers and you can try it out first. Just rub some over your palm and the lines will instantly disappear!! Here's the offical site: Freeze 24▪7® Age-Less Skincare? FAQs:: Official Website
  13. Kevsgirl - that sucks that your best friends didn't even show up for when you were getting ready I'm not so sure Id be totally cool with that, it is their vacation but that was the one day they were suppose to be there for you. But it kind of helps me in knowing that people really make their own fun..hopefully. marieSam- we're planning a welcome dinner once we arrive. We're entertaining the idea of hosting a very informal "meet & greet" the week before we leave. What are you planning? Here's another question then....once we do all these events so that everyone gets to know each other what are our respnsibilties/obligations beyond that? How far should a bride and groom go to make sure that their guests are having a good time. Its great to say they'll find their own fun but what if they don't? Is it not our responsibility to make sure that they are? What should be we doing through the day to ensure that? Do I need to make a point of walking the resort once a day to make sure everyone's having that good time? ok I'm still stressing :S
  14. k guys thanks. Sloan....I think its a little more than just expecting people to entertain themselves, well it is in my case anyways. For example, I got a phone call last week from a friend I play softball with asking who else is going. No one else from that team is going and he's the shy type. He's not the kind of guy to walk up to strangers on the beach and sit with them even if he knows they're with us. But he's booked his trip regardless for us. That's when it really hit me, I can't just say "entertain yourselves". There are people that are going to be there that are there just for us. I have to make sure they're happy and having a good time. I think it is our responsibility to a point to play host to people that are coming down just for us. Especially if they're coming down solo and the shy type. :S Am I trying to hard to please everybody? Should I really just let them be? ARGHHH
  15. Whew, and I thought sitting at $12,000 so far was abnormal. I'm glad to see we're the norm. lol
  16. We have 40+ guests coming down and I'm starting to stress about keeping them all happy and meeting their expectations, if any. How did you brides of past handle all the guests for the days leading up to the wedding? Did you stress about pleasing them all? Did you make time to visit every group if they weren't sitting together? Am I over reacting LOL I'm worried that there will be groups of people spread out all over i.e pool people and beach people and that we won't be able to please everybody during the day. Is this a reasonable anxiety? Thanks!!
  17. Can anyone give me advise as to how to search inspiration pics threads on here? I have searched with the words "must have" and I got every thread with the word must or have in it. I searched the word inspiration and I got 2 relevant threads. I even went back 50 pages, page by page, looking for threads and nothing. After all that I decided to start my own thread and got locked out. So......any help would be appreciated.
  18. I have an appt. with my photog this week and he wants me to bring my "must-have" or "inspirational" pics. So ladies.....let's see them!!!!
  19. Thanks guys!! I found them at Canadian Tire on sale for $6. Bought 30, turns out that's not enough I hope they go on sale again before May.
  20. thanks all for your opinions!! They can definitely be used as grocery bags afterwards. They're not as "plasticky" as those grocery store varieties either. I figure if we're having mostly men, they're probably going to throw the bag out no matter what we get. At least this way I won't feel bad, they're only throwing out $2.
