  1. Anny's work is always phenomenal!!!! Anyone who uses her services is lucky to have her because she never disappoints
  2. that's awesome!!!! must be surreal to see your wedding in a magazine
  3. did you try the search feature -- fifth option at the top? If you do a search for "Akumal" I'm sure you'll get some hits of threads on that topic. I myself had just had my wedding in Akumal in June and while there aren't many Akumal brides on here there is some valuable info posted!! Also like Tammy said, the forum is going through some maintenance upgrades so give it some time to get back to running normal and you should find everything your looking for!
  4. What type of help are you looking for? This forum is full of great ideas to help you save and cut back costs, especially if you're willing to do a lot of DIY (do-it-yourself) decor and design! There are girls on here working with all sorts of budgets, so definitely take advantage of these resources. You can have a great wedding at any budget!!! Just stay positive
  5. I don't know much about the quality of services Blue Lens Caribe offers, but I do recall someone from their company was on the forum a couple months back and got banned because they were making a bunch of fake member accounts trying to promote and hype up their business. Mods, please correct me if I'm thinking of the wrong company? So in terms of business ethics, I would be a bit weary. Plus poor business ethics in some vendors has proven to be a red flag and quite problematic for some members on here. Just my two cents!!!
  6. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! It's a similar style to the one I wore, so beautiful on you!!!
  7. Congrats to both you gorgeous gals - both of you are awesome forum members and totally deserve it!!!! *HUGS*
  8. We did a multicolor palette for our wedding -- ivory, coral, canary and terracotta, and pops of red. Our girls wore dresses in canary, latte and terracotta ~ I did this because I had 8 girls (had 10 but 2 lattes dropped out last minute) and not every girl looks good in a single color. Nevertheless, I think it looked absolutely beautiful and really added a fun element to our wedding not to mention my bridal party looked fabulous!! Everyone had the same style of dress, except for my daughter and my junior bridesmaid, and I gave them the option to wear the dress with straps or go strapless. If you do go multicolor, my best advice is to really streamline the theme throughout your whole wedding to get the maximum effect -- decor, programs, invites, flowers, favors, cake, etc. Here's some pics of my gorgeous gals:

  10. Everything looks beautiful Christie and ties in so well together!!! You're right Rebecca is awesome, I used her for some logos and she's the sweetest. I also used the same paper from Office Depot ~ it's a great design that really sets the mood YAY, totally excited for you
  11. Thank you girls!!! We loved doing the surprise dance ~ it was such a shock for our guests and they loved it So glad Playa Weddings caught every monent, I'll have to post the full dance when I get the chance! Playa Weddings is great and I totally recommend them to any couple looking for great videographers to document your day!!! I often look at our video when I want to relive the special moments
  12. US dollars have always worked for us -- we avoided having too many pesos with us, it seemed like dollars were accepted and preferred during all our 6 vacations there.

My coordinator, Jen Smith, is actually the owner of Turtle Bay Cafe in Akumal and she doubles as a wedding coordinator, specifically for events held at the CEA. Although she has coordinated weddings elsewhere. She did an amazing job for me and my family and I absolutely adored her!! Here's her website: Marry Me Akumal, "Planning Akumal's most Celebrated weddings" is the Akumal;and Riviera Maya Wedding Planner ServiceAkumal, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Sian Kaan; and the Costa Maya Best wishes!!!
