  1. What do you think of this I found on the JCPenney website?? JCPenney : Print Jacket I was thinking since BM have flowers on their dress and it's not total black. With the flyaway pants. It would go with the fuschia. Feedback please...
  2. These are all very cute dresses but my mom is not a tiny little thing so she won't be wearing anything sleeveless or strapless. The only one I saw that would be fitting for my mom came in a size 8 . Oh well I guess the search is on.

My girls will be in fuschia and the guys in khaki/tan suits... so no clue what color my mom should go with. I would like something that compliments the fuschia ... because 2 of my sistesr are BMS so for any family pic. She doesn't like the traditional mother of the bride dresses... so we will probably just go regulary dress shopping. Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. Thanks for the info I figured there was a thread somewhere thanks I'll check it out. Anyways, I was thinking for her though, that a cute cocktail dress would be nice. One that has maybe some capped sleeves and a puffy bottom. I'm sort of picturing Audrey Hepburn 50's style. I figured that she's only 47 so she should be able to pull off something cute like that. We're going to look together for something once I move to Toronto this fall. Well, my mom is 66 and a bit overweight so the young cutesy stuff isn't going to be her style. So, she needs something that is more her age and not revealing. Probably with sleeves. So, I'm thinking even a nice dress suit but trying to think of what color to tie in with the fuschia??
  5. Yes, I'm kinda worried about this too. We are arriving a day before everyone else so that's not a problem, but our guests are all arriving from Sat, to Wed at different days. So, some of the things I'd like them to be able to use the whole time. I considered giving them at our welcome party but not until Wed when all the guests will be there. So then I'm thinking to do an informal welcome party for Sat (when a lot are arriving) and then give each individual guests theirs as they arrive. So, are your guests all arriving around the same time?? If so you could do a welcome party the night after you go to town to get your final things and give them to them then.
  6. My mom keeps asking me what she should wear and I have no idea. I guess I need to look around some. With it being a destination wedding should it still be fancy, casual, etc. I need help!! We are having a reception back home end of March too so trying to think of something she could wear to both. And I think I've decided on fuschia for the bridesmaids so do you need to color coordinate and if so what would go good?? Basically....I NEED HELP!!
  7. Looking good girlfriend!! I can't wait until mine comes in!

(I'm actually a 10 1/2 and most don't make that size) So, it's not all it's cracked up to be..ha Also Greg is a little bit shorter than me which doesn't bother me too much but for our wedding pics I'm thinking of digging myself a hole in the sand Although I'd look like a fatty boombalatty if I wasn't so tall so it's good for spreading out my weight.

This is the best wedding brainstorming place I ever heard of, I'm so glad my cousin told me about it. Although it is costing me more money
  12. After having my bridesmaids try on a gazillion dresses (they are such great sports) I think we have finally chosen this dress in fuschia color. What do you think guys?? It looked really good on and I have both short and tall bridesmaids so I tried it on too and it feels really nice and looks good on both heights. 13. haha....sort of but no... its hard to explain.... do you know what chav means? its kind of like that. naco...its sort of like people who have some money but have really bad, gaudy, tacky taste... Ok gotcha. I don't know too much of the slang. Spanish was my minor in college and I took it all thru high school. I love speaking spanish but I hardly use it anymore so I'm losing the language. Last time I used it was when we went to Punta Cana for vacation and I can still communicate very well and they really appreciate it and I have fun doing it. I would love some mexican music to get me in the mood too. I may have to bum a copy of the CD myself if I make a meetup in Chitown
  14. Just did the Biggest Loser Cardio Max workout video for the 2nd time this week and at least this time I didn't feel like I was going to pass out in the first 10 min. It only took 25 this time But I got thru 40 min. I can see how these people lose 15 lbs in a week. This video kicks your ASS!
  15. Is naco like the mexican word for redneck??
  16. I was kind of looking fast because we were on our way to look at some bridesmaid dresses but I also saw some cute sombrero tealight candle holders..kinda cute. I just bought candles though so had to resist
  17. FI's sister works for NWA and that is who we are flying with to Mexico. I guess their new luggage limit is 1- 50 lb bag per person. But, if you booked your ticket before they changed it you are fine. So we are good and I'm glad because I'm going to need 2 full to the rim and then some!! ha
  18. Awesome!! 1 month..how lucky. I wish I was somewhere warm and tropical right now as it is cold and rainy here in MI today. Don't sweat it you'll have everything ready to go I'm sure.
  19. I found these in the $1 bins today at the front of Target. Not bad for $1. Might be good for Bachelorette or for fun.
  20. Hi, as I put in the original posting also- I went to Michael's today and found these for my bridesmaids in the letter of their names. But just realized the one I thought was an "M" is a "W" as it reads on the sides of it..ha Oh well. But they were only 50 cents by the cheap bins in the front and the other one I got for regular guests in a Seaside scent and they had honeysuckle too.
  21. Ok, so I went to Michael's today and got these tin travel candles for 50 cents and they are all letters of my bridesmaids name..thought that was cool. And the other one is just in a seaside scent for other guests and the letter ones were spiced vanilla.
  22. I'm not. I offered for one BM but she said no. I guess I paid for all theirs when I was in all their weddings and they are a lot older now so more financially stable then I was back then. I am getting them gifts, jewelry and paying to get their hair done (if they want to do it theirselves I will pay for a massage) I'm also letting them choose their own dresses.
  23. Like it!! Too bad it's minimum order of 100 or I would think about getting the bottle ones.
  24. I agree. Yes, we invited all these people to come but we would be fine with just Greg and I and our close family if that's all who could afford to come. We are thinking of it as a fun vacation together more than anything. We didn't give options for other resorts either. But we are having an at home reception also so people knew if they couldn't afford it they could still celebrate with us when we got back. So, I wouldn't feel bad about it. We haven't had anyone that has booked at another hotel though so I guess I don't have to worry about it.
  25. Looks like you guys had a blast Morgan!! Oooh and I do love me some karoake...watch out.
