  1. I like the rocker David Cook and Brooke is another fave. Beatles was good tonight I thought
  2. I want Parker back in myself.
  3. Cool, thanks!! I just made a deposit! Too bad that isn't savings for the wedding..ha Well, I think I'm off to bed girls. I'm going to try on wedding dresses tomorrow and need to get my beauty sleep
  4. Ok, I have what is probably a stupid question. I'm not much of a reader of directions. How come I have nothing in my bank..I see I have points but those don't even seem to move with my posts. Not sure how that all works??

My grandpa is singing & the sky is lighting up behind him. I'm break dancing to willie nelson. It was an awesome night. I think being around people you love makes anything great. I agree..everyone is going to remember the fun times you have at the resort, being relaxed in a fun environment, having drinks, moving at their own schedule. I think that is going to be the whole fun for me is when the wedding part is over and we can just relax and have fun with no schedule. i.e. (don't have to worry about frying my face in the sun anymore, eating too much that i can't fit in my dress, spilling a fruity drink on my dress, etc) This is going to be the best vacation for all my family and friends and really a once in a lifetime deal. You will never get all these people together for a vacation again so that is what I'm going to treasure the most.

Yes, actually when I sent out the Mexico invites I put on there that we would be having a reception in Michigan March of 2009 and that formal invites to follow at a later date. So, this way people can decide if they want to go to Mexico or not since we will still be celebrating here. I think most agreed it was a good idea.

Yes, in my opinion..the resort should be going out of the way to make something special for you. Look at all the business you are bringing to their establishment. There is no way we would ever get our family, friends, etc to do a vacation like this any other way or even to stay at this nice of a resort. So, if you are bringing them all this business they normally would never get from these people, they should be falling all over you with perks and free private dinners. I just don't get it.
  8. I agree with the whole do what is best for you. I believe I would like to have a private reception but my FI insists it's ridiculous to pay at an all-inclusive. Which I see the point there. So, we'll see. In our wedding package it includes a private reception for 20 guests and I'm not sure how much each extra person is but right now we are at about 20 guests and I don't anticipate it getting too much higher. I'm sure it will all work out. But, that being said...I don't think our guests will be upset if we don't. We would happily get married by ourselves and close friends but gave the opportunity for friends and family to join us. So, they are willingly spending the money because most of them just want a good excuse for a vacation too! We are having a reception back home also so they will have their formal private reception then. Mexico is for people wanting to see the actual wedding I guess and to have some fun in the sun with us. Most people are looking forward to being with friends and family for a week and having a good time. Not to sit at a dinner for us for one hour..we will probably be having meals together every day. My cousin says she's wearing her swimsuit to the wedding so she can get back to the beach..(ha jokingly) So, my feeling is do what's right for you. If this was my only reception I would probably go all out. But I know not everyone that wants to celebrate will be able to afford Mexico so we are having something back home for all. I also think I may have some kind of welcome party the night before (which also happens to be my fi's b-day) so I'll make it a surprise b-day party for him too.
  9. Hello all, Greg's birthday is going to be the day before we get married so I'm trying to think of something special to do to celebrate it. We almost were going to get married that day but the day after worked out better (Thanksgiving) I was thinking of what kind of special gift or maybe some kind of welcome/birthday party since the last of our guests will be arriving that day. I'm open to suggestions
  10. Thanks for all the info..this is interesting. So I wonder if it will cost me any extra to have the international plan?? Was just thinking about doing the walkie talkie thing too though.
  11. Very cute!! Wow that dress on two birds is way more at $270 though. I'll be curious to see what people think of the ones they ordered..can't wait to hear!
  12. Cool, good to know. So do you have to dial anything before the person's number to text??
  13. Does anyone have any idea if text messaging works in Mexico?? If so how it works?? I have Sprint service by the way.
  14. Good Book Choice..I have read this book also. I am trying to remember it though as it was a while ago. So, I'll have to check out the discussion. Love this idea!

Wow that one really made my day!! I literally almost peed my pants! Thanks for all the laughs. Just a really long tired week of trying to get my boarding passes done and out and to have my Friday start with her saying that didn't help. But I'm almost done with the boarding passes..YAY!!

Yeah, I know it's only because she's not happy with her own life but it still gets to you when someone says intentional things like that. It's like who cares?? So, all the people that marriages didn't work out was because they got married on leap year?? I don't think so!!

  18. Yeah, that is the whole thing with this girl. We used to be friends and then once when I went for a promotion she was telling everyone that I'm never going to be promoted because they just assume I will be getting married soon and moving away (I have a long commute now) Well, I wasn't engaged at that time even. So, she's just one of those that doesn't want anyone to do better than her. She has a sucky at home life and doesn't like to see anyone else having a good life. It's just irritating!!
  19. Want to deck this girl at work today!! We are pretty much arch enemies anyways..but. Why the hell you would say this to someone I'm not sure..if it was a friend I'd just laugh it off..but she said "Oh, I heard on the radio yesterday that if you get married on leap year you are supposed to have 10 years of bad luck" and all these people are cancelling their wedding because of it..blah, blah..and she said "and I thought..Oh..Amy's getting married on leap year" I just look at her with this dirty look and say "Oh well..thanks for the vote of confidence" It just really irritated me!! Why would you say that??!!.
  20. So, does everyone think Amanda and Alex will get the boot?? I could hardly stand to watch when Amanda fainted and was going thru seizures last night. I would definitely have freaked if I was in the house. On another thought though I wonder what that Chelsia will think when she hears about James' gay porn star prior life after she made out with him??
  21. I was contemplating the same thing. Because I'm sending out the info to evereyone (lot of family I don't know their e-mails) We have a wedding website too.. So, I'd like to know who is booking but I'm figuring I'll find that out from my TA or word of mouth. Plus we are having an at home reception so I know we'll be sending out RSVP cards then. I'm just wondering if it's ok to put our e-mail as an RSVP for Mexico or put up something on our website?? Are there really people out there still that don't use computers??
  22. Wow those are cute! Victoria's Secret has some cute bride panties and tanks too but they are higher in price. I need to give hints for my bachelorette
