  8. Drysol : I just went to the local pharmacy and asked the pharmacist. As for the thigh problem, I normally put baby powder and that helps. But I stay away from short shorts and dresses when I know I will be walking along.
  9. Mel! Hello from a fellow Ottawa Bride (btw that siggy pics looks like it was taken in the market ) We are in the same boat, but it is my parents that want th AHR, his side of the family is still irked that we are having a DW, even though my FI's family is in NB, and mine are in QC... anyway, So we are just going to have a celebration supper at a restaurant (individuals paying for their own meals) in the respective towns, a month or 2 after the actual wedding. We also agreed to bring our photo albums to family reunions and Xmas parties this year...lol its a bit showy, but everyone is happy. I hope you can find a similar solution
  10. Petals! Everything is stunning!! I really love your veil! I am going to attempt to make a Birdcage veil tonight (wish me luck)! Where did you get your instructions? It is so pretty!
  11. I looked where I thought it could be, did a search and found nothing. I wanted to share mine, and maybe get some feedback. Anyway, here goes: Moi, Virginie, Je te prends, Michael, pour être mon amour, mon époux, et mon meilleur ami, jusqu’à l’éternité. I promise to love you, honor your, cherish you, and grow with you, all the days of my life. Je promets de rire avec toi, pleurer avec toi, et tenir ta main lorsque les obstacles nous confrontent. Avec la confiance, la générosité et l’amour, nous allons créer une belle vie ensemble. I vow to laugh with you, cry with you, and hold your hand as we age together and face whatever obstacles come our way as one, united for ever, our love it truly a gift. With confidence, generosity, and love, we will create a wonderful life and family together. Michael, I love you for who you are, and the person you aspire to be. So much so, that I promise to look the other way, sometimes, when you indulge in Star Wars stuff. You are my world, my best friend, the one I love. On this day I give myself to you, heart, mind, body and soul, as your wife, from now to eternity.
  12. Is it large? or heavy? I am hoping it travels well!
  13. I am bringing my own real touch bouquet. I am however spending a little extra on table top flowers for the reception.
  14. Great thread Idea! I don't have any to contribute - I am a big chicken!
  15. I have looked EVERYONE for a hat for my honey. He wants to wear one for the TTD. So if you find one, Please let me know! (White hat with black ribbon)
  16. Congratulations!!!! I am sure you will have great day + vacation!
  17. I got it. 3 days ago, I went to the local pharamacy, as it is behind the counter - but no prescription needed. I have used it twice so far, and today was HOT out. NO SWEATING!! So far so good!
  18. If I can offer some advice, I think you need to be firmer. If the Manager is aware, but is not stepping up to the plate, you need to make her. I would refuse to have anyone deal with the TA and contact the Manager directly for everything. Tell her the situation needs to be rectified ASAP, as their reputation will continue to be tarnished by you, and your friends/family and anyone that will listen! I would even go to the owner, our, if it is a chain, regional supervisor and go into detail regarding their inadequacies and despicable customer service. It is simply unacceptable for you or anyone else to feel that you are inconveniencing them.
  19. We leave in 17 days, Where has the time gone? Our programs are all ready to go, Before I print them, I thoughts I'd get some opinions on the order of the ceremony. Here's what I have so far: Marriage Act Reading - blessing of the hands (english) Vows Reading - Marriage joins two people in the circle of love (french) Sand Ceremony - bilingual Kiss! My concern was whether or not we need something before the marriage act. Or maybe move the vows after the sand ceremony... I don't know anymore. What did you brides do? Any help is always appreciated!
  20. I got mine!! I am doing seashells! Everyone takes 2 shells, on one they right their thoughts about the day, and on the second a prediction! We will be putting them in a Hurricane vase when we return! I will post pictures after the wedding, 20 days baby!!!!!!
  21. I haven't booked the hair apt yet, but I just might. I know i am getting mine done,. my 2 CO-MOHS are, my flowergirl wants to and I betcha my mom will too...
  22. Why hide it? I mean he is your future husband, and he shoud love you no matter what, plus I am a firm believer of no secrets between couples. My FI was shocked to find out that I was 180 a year ago, he couldn't believe I weighed as much as he did ( I am 5'9 so I can hide 5lbs easily - thank god!) I am now down to 145 and I still compalin about my rolls, but he says he doesn't see them. Fact is we have curves, and the men love that more than any twiggy!
