  1. welcome to the forum! A couple of boutique hotels that come to my mind to check out are in Puerto Vallarta Playa Fiesta - a lot of girls on the forum have had BEAUTIFUL weddings there http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...eddings-36534/ and Casa Velas http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...a-velas-41922/ hope that helps!

Funny story, I JUST finally ordered a TTD pic on canvas...it is pretty cool, highly recommend the canvas!
  3. Daniela, most have said this already...you have to remember that this is your wedding. Take a step back and really think about what you want your day to be like. (and when I say 'your' I mean you and your FI combined ) consider the following....if you change your resort, will you be just as happy with everything as if you stayed at Zoetry? if you stayed at zoetry are you guys ok with potentially less guests attending because of the price? think about it from all angles Quote: Originally Posted by Jen_S I am sorry you are experiencing this but it is very typical. For us it was having our close friends and family members which meant we had to go for a middle of the range resort in the end our wedding was amazing and by not spending as much as we orig thought we were able to go on another honeymoon. Good Luck!!! On the other end of what Jen said here (just to show you that it really is up to you two), for us, we decided that we truly were ok if not all our friends and family were going to make it because of costs so we stuck with our original plan and hotel choice. We decided that if it ended up being just the two of us, we were ok....and once we made that decision we just blocked out the negative comments that everyone kept telling us. when they would "kindly" remind us of the price we would "kindly" tell them that by no means were we "expecting" them to come. we planned for 35 guests, at one point we thought there would only be 15 (which again we were totally ok with) well we ended up with 36! bottom line it is your guys day....you should do it how you want and feel most comfortable with!

I think early morning for sunrise or later for sunset are the best times Quote: Originally Posted by dianep still trying to convince FI that a TTD is a good idea. not sure i'll be able to warm him up to the idea. but i have lists of nearby cenotes in case i can talk him into doing it! if you want to do it, you should convey that to him. it really is a once in a lifetime sort of opportunity...I think if you really want to do it and you don't you might regret it later. I think I posted on this thread already that my DH was semi against it too but i talked so much about it before hand that he knew I really had my heart set on it...so he went along with it to make me happy and in the end he admits...it was fun and our TTD pics are some of our favs out of all our pics! I looks like most people do them in mexico hmm does the DR have cenotes? I thought they were only in mexico on the cancun side? but i could be wrong...I would say if there is a cenote in the DR, go for it!

  7. So I did week 5 day 3 this morning....It was hard! run for 20 mins straight! which for a runner is nothing but for me...wow I think I am going to be sore after that, it was so not easy!
  8. Hmmm I don't think I have ever posted in this thread...here is my bouquet pic....
  9. Hi April 2010 brides!!!!!! I am an old married lady now but an april bride too! (which IMO is the best month to get married in ) my DH and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary in a couple of weeks and I seriously can't believe how fast this first year has FLOWN by! Just wanted to stop in here and tell all of you April brides congrats! Enjoy EVERY SINGLE SECOND of your entire trip because I promise you it will go way too fast and try not to worry about the minor details...don't sweat the small stuff..just enjoy your day and live in the moment! Have fun girls! and come back with pics!

  11. Try using the search function before starting a new thread. This has most likely been discussed already somewhere
  12. Hey Diane! I was just thinking about you the other day and how I hadn't seen you on here in awhile! I was wondering how everything was coming along because yep at this time last year things were a bit chaotic! WOW 98% ready, that is awesome! I was happy I had everything ready to go 2 days before we left! yep I would 100% recommend Fernando, yes the prices are a bit steep but he goes to LC all the way from Nuevo. His english is not very good but wow, he does great with hair and makeup! I would recommend getting your makeup done on a trial run at home before you leave, take pics of your face up close and take a few, like one with your eyes open and one with them closed. just show fernando the pics and he will get it done from there! I did the picture thing from a trial run I had done and my make up turned out just the way I wanted it! yay!!!!!!!!! OMG you are sooo close now date twin! I am so excited for you! So my hubby and I might be in PV that weekend celebrating our 1 year anniversary!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo excited! I say might because we are still trying to decide if we can get away for a few days and also if we can afford it. I just started a new job so i can't really take a lot of time off yet. I would just be happy though if we can make it down there for an extended weekend! I would LOVE it if we do go to take the Rythms of the Night tour over on 4/24 so we can be on the same beach we were married at but one year later! but who knows, our plans are up in the air still right now.... anyway Diane, have an awesome trip! come back with pics and details!!!!! and have a great wedding day!

  14. wow evertyhing looked great! what a beautiful resort to get married at! congrats Mrs.!
  15. oh yay for going 45 mins today jill! I did week 3 day 2 this morning and today was just not a good day. I did week 3 day 1 on saturday and felt great! but today not so much....I was just in a monday funk i guess oh well, will try again tomorrow!
  16. I started week 3 day 1 today as well. It was for sure a bit challenging but I am finally feeling like I am getting back in my running state of mind. soooo that is good. as far as shorts, can't help you there, I always wear the champion (from target I think) brand of capris
  17. oh no! sorry today sucked! I had a bad day the other day too and I feel like my reasons for it were similar to yours, not eating, etc.. oh well, there are good days and bad days, at least you went and did it right?!

  20. I got my coils from Oriental Trading, they are $2.99 for a dozen Whistle Expando Bracelet Key Chains and I got the badges from Amazon: Amazon.com: Advantus 75523 Resealable badge holder, 2-5/8 x 3-3/4, horizontal, prepunched, 50 per box: Office Products although they are the horizontal ones they worked just fine

I was exausted when I woke up!! that is funny! well that must mean you are getting closer then! when do you leave? how is packing going?! who is your photog? maybe there is a blog i can stalk!
