I do not have much time on the books because of my back surgeries, doctors appointments, smaller procedures,etc. Because I am in a light duty spot (doing office work on an administrative line) I am now required to take Village holidays (memorial day, fourth of July, etc). These were days I use to work and bank the holiday for. Just found out now we also have July 3rd off because of parking issues with our festival and stuff going on. Good news for most but not me. As my time has been going away I settled on the fact that for our wedding I would have to take some days off without pay, sucks but crap happens. Well I just found out that you cant just do that, you have to get permission and no one has ever been given permission. The supervisor who's advice I seeked said she thought they would not grant it because it sets a precident (sp?) and they are big on precidents around here. Now what??!?!?!!?! I am freaking out!!!!!!! I mean we have to be in Mexico 4 days before we get married, so at very minimum I need like 4-5 days off and that is without having a honeymoon of any sort! I never thought work would ruin our wedding!!!! Sorry for the vent but I am shaking right now!!
