Oh I hear ya! I went to Nordstroms Sunday and bought my fair share of Laura Mercier make up $500 later, (bought brushes too). But I sure am enjoying it!

Ok this is what I put in writing to my Deputy Chief (I am a police officer so it may read a little military or whatever) : Sir, I am sure it is obvious I am getting very low on time off. Since I have been required to take Village holidays (memorial day, Fouth of July and now also the third of July) and holidays for medical procedures because of a lack of sick time I am getting even lower on time then I had ever imagined. As I had told you many months ago I am trying to save my time because I am getting married in Cancun in November (leaving November 3 and returning November 13). Sonia has told me that being allowed to take time off without pay is up to the administration here at the department. So I am sending this email in anticipation of not having the time to take off when November arrives. I have offered to work the Fourth of July weekend in order to save time. I am willing to save time by working weekends or whatever I need to do if that is an option. But if that is not possible then I am requesting permission to take the time off without pay that I need to make up for the time I don't have for my wedding. Thank you in advance. I do not have much time on the books because of my back surgeries, doctors appointments, smaller procedures,etc. Because I am in a light duty spot (doing office work on an administrative line) I am now required to take Village holidays (memorial day, fourth of July, etc). These were days I use to work and bank the holiday for. Just found out now we also have July 3rd off because of parking issues with our festival and stuff going on. Good news for most but not me. As my time has been going away I settled on the fact that for our wedding I would have to take some days off without pay, sucks but crap happens. Well I just found out that you cant just do that, you have to get permission and no one has ever been given permission. The supervisor who's advice I seeked said she thought they would not grant it because it sets a precident (sp?) and they are big on precidents around here. Now what??!?!?!!?! I am freaking out!!!!!!! I mean we have to be in Mexico 4 days before we get married, so at very minimum I need like 4-5 days off and that is without having a honeymoon of any sort! I never thought work would ruin our wedding!!!! Sorry for the vent but I am shaking right now!!

Now that I have my Laura Mercier make up (including foundation primer) I got the model in a bottle too. Tried it for the first time today. So far after 4 hours still no eyeshadow creasing (my big problem). I have blown my nose and seen some foundation come off but I guess thats to be expected. So far the model in a bottle seems to be keeping the make up in place.
