Don't worry about it there is always a Malaria risk in the DR and I already told my guests to get them before I heard about these warnings. The pills are harmless you take one a week for 2 weeks before, the week you are there and 2 weeks after. All my guests have had no issues with it so far they all feel better to be safe than sorry and the perscription is so cheap like $5. We had no issues with the pills making us feel ill and we did drink while we were there and we had no problems. I would just explain to my guests that no matter where you go in the world that you are at risk for many things so why should Malaria in the DR be any different? Also it is transmitted by mosqutio bites and I never saw 1 when I was there. The resorts are well taken care of and if you do go where there are lots of them like quadding or something put bug spray on.

I found mine at a scrapbooking store called DeSerres in West Ed. but I have seen them at Michaels to.

I bought blue candle holders, those colored rocks in blue and clear and small starfish and I am just going to spread them all in the center of the tables. There will be white table cloths on the tables and the tables will be long so all the way down the center.

Don't worry about the Malaria pills it's just a precaution just like getting a tetanus shot cause you just never know and why not be safe rather than sorry. The pills did not make me or my FI sick at all barely noticed we were taking meds since they are only once a week. Also Malaria has been an issue in the DR for years it's nonthing new and thousands of people still vacation there every year.

Last time we went(there was a Malaria Warning as well) we had to take a pill once a week for 2 weeks prior, the week we were there and 2 weeks after we got back. The perscription was really cheap and I thought why not to just be safe for such a little cost. The pills never bothered us but there were alot of people who never took them too. I informed my guests from the beginning that these pills are something they should look into but I am not worried at all if guests want to get the pills they will and if not then that is there choice.

I like the blue it has a nice beachy feel to it!

We chose a Monday because we get there on a Friday and leave on a Friday and wanted time to get everything finalized before but we also wanted everyone to have time after the wedding.

I think SunCherries is right if you are getting legally married by the judge they don't let you change anything about the ceremony but if it's just a Renewal of Vows you can write your own vows. erinsny24 I would try contacting the Majestic myself to see if the prices are out yet I was able to get prices last Jan for this Nov.
