  1. Thanks soooo much for the review. Sorry to hear about your mom's ordeal but its great that she made it in the nick of time. I don't know how you managed to keep it together despite all that happened on your day. I KNOW I would have had a complete melt down. But in the end, its good to know that you had a wonderful time. Can't wait to see your pics!!!

I guess it could be considered an acquired taste. You could always try mixed greens. Mixing kale, collards & mustard greens, or whatever combination you'd like.

My mom is from the south so as a result greens are a part of Sunday dinner at least every other week. But once I moved out, I knew that I WAS NOT going through ALL of that work to make them from scratch. The process is just too long, especially to do on a regular basis. The cleaning, cutting & cooking seem to take forever. So I've quickly fallen in love with Glory. But on holidays & special occasions where family is involved, I definitely "go for the joy of freshly cooked greens".
  4. Yeah, I got the red pepper tip from my mom who's been making greens forever!!! Also, if anyone wants to try collard greens first without actually cooking them, a great brand to try is by Glory. They come in a can & are made with smoked turkey. I'd usually NEVER, EVER, EVER recommend can'd greens & I'm sure my mother would KILL me if she knew that I was, but I think they're a pretty good choice for someone who wants to try them.
  5. All I could think as I was reading this was...BREATHE, BREATHE. ; ) I don't think you're having a Bridezilla moment or a crazy moment. I just don't understand why they would charge you again if you need additional alterations. Yeah, yeah, maybe the are considered "emergency" alterations, but still, you paid for them already. To me, alterations shouldn't be considered final, until the day that you pick up your dress & walk out of the store!!! Anyway, you should definitely try it on tonight. No need to have any regrets 7yrs later!!!

Also considering what you said above about always getting regular rooms on your vacations, you should definitely treat yourself to something!!!
  7. Hmmm...How about keeping your Jr Suite leading up to the wedding but then upgrading on your wedding day? Then you'd have the better room for the honeymoon at a lower cost than the ones that you posted. Is that an option?
  8. I really wanted to do this but couldn't figure out how I'd get the cake home. My best friend took hers out of the fridge on their 1 yr anniv, took one bite & quickly threw the rest away. She said it was disgusting!!! I had to laugh at that!!! But then what can you expect from a year old cake. LOL
  9. Michelle, That dress is GORGEOUS!!! Please don't second guess yourself. I think you made a great choice.
  10. The massage & dinner on the beach sounds like a great idea. I think the thoughts alone are a great gesture & are sure they'll be appreciative.
  11. Definitely love the 1st one and I also really like the one with the flowers on the bottom of the dress & the train. That is really lovely. You should post the Nicole Miller one when you get a chance. I'd love to compare!
  12. If you want a nice kick to them, you can also try adding red pepper flakes. Definitely tasty!!!
  13. Definitely try on different styles, especially those that you may not have intially considered. Also, listen to your gut instinct. If you love a specific dress but 1 person in your group isnt too fond of it, go with how you feel. Remember that its alllll about you! Most importantly have fun!

  15. Welcome & Congrats! You'll soon find that these ladies are the BEST! Everyone is extremely helpful!!!
  16. Thanks again for sharing all your pics Mo! You're always giving me new ideas. I like the look of Seagrapes and may use it for the welcome party!
  17. I can't get to Bed Bath & Beyond fast enough!!! You are going to turn me into a complete cleaning-my-ring-constantly-monster when I get my hands on this!
