  1. The passport covers are very nice in person but yes you pay for the name. Try ebay, the site usually has a few that you can get much cheaper. Which item will your girls be able to use more often?
  2. CAn you import? Tulips are in season in May in the States and should be much cheaper than the quote you were given. You could make the center pieces also. Try walmart for the square vase, hot glue a sugar starfish to ribbon your color and then hotglue the ribbon to the vase. You should be able to do this for $10 or less per vase.
  3. What are you looking for? A printed card or a photo card? Shutterfly, vistaprint and other similar sites are great if you have a posed picture (think you holding a thank you card in your dress). Otherwise, a simple card from a craft store with your monogram works well.
  4. My MOH made these-she did a great job. Each one has a different front and cute flip flops stamped on the back.
  5. Welcome Danielle! Glad you have already found lots of help!
  6. Welcome Andrea! I love Dave too, unfortunately, he is doing a concert near me when I'm away for the wedding!
  7. Welcome to the forum Catherine!
  8. My dollartree had the full size bottles near the hawaiian stuff (front of store usually)
  9. Man, all I can crochet are scarves! Maybe it'll still work
  10. I am doing something similar with sand dollars that are spray painted and backed by leaves. I'll post a pic when I finish. There have been several brides on this forum who have done the starfish. Did you try a search?
  11. Welcome Rose! I think you are the first Belgium bride.
  12. Welcome Jenn, thats very nice of you to plan a wedding for your friend.
  13. Welcome! How neat, a family destination wedding!
  14. Welcome to the forum! No passport is part of why I chose PR.
  15. This is what she just wrote FI and I... Dear Michael and Jamie, Permit me to go over the prices sent to you in yesterday's fax: The musician charged $150 for the additional hour, $600 is for four hours instead of three. The dinner price went from $116 to $125 per person due to the 40% decrease in persons attending. The $18 drink price per person will include your beverages for the arrival hour, the reception, and the dinner, a total of four hours. This is a substantial reduction of the original price you were quoted of $1,400.00. I have waived the wedding ceremony set up charges for the Sunken Wedding Garden, as well as any charge for the reception in the Alamanda Garden, and use of the Inn for the Rehearsal. In the event of rain, the wedding will be set up in the Print Room, and Janmari Garden, also free of charge. Since we sat down those many months ago I have given, and have successfully planned, 11 weddings using our new spaces. You should be pleased to know that your quote price from May 20, 2008 represents more than a 50% discount from our standard prices. I will await your contact. If you still wish to cancel you have my blessing. However, I ask that you make your decision by Friday, the 23rd of May, so we can make the space available to other clients should you decline to hold your wedding here. I have in writing that everything she is "comping" was already included. I am so devastated right now. If I get legal on her, she'll wreck my wedding. If I decline the new prices, I am at square one with no WC or a person on the ground to help me line up everything.
