Frankly at this point I just want her to write another book, I really like the way she tells stories.
  2. Christian Bale: Little Women
  3. Count me as another aqua and pink combo. I used pink gerbera daisies for my girls. Simple, but I think they worked pretty well
  4. The Rock: Nicholas Cage (I really love this movie!)

And Rachel, add me to the list of people who say you have to give The Time Traveller's Wife another try. It's really good. I didn't even think of any of the classics I've read, I'm a disgrace to English majors! They might not be for everyone, but I LOVED: Great Expectations (Dickens) A Tale of Two Cities (Dickens) Dracula (Stoker...I've had a thing for Vampires since I read this at the age of 12) Emma (Jane Austen) Middlemarch (George Eliot...don't let the size turn you off, it's awesome, very Jane Austen-ish) Lolita (Nabokov) The Handmaid's Tale (Atwood...this is a must read for everyone, seriously, a brilliant book) Farenheit 451 (Bradbury) Frankenstein (Shelley; Didn't think I would like this one but did) Pilgrim (Findley) And my last suggestion for the day, I promise, The Sweet Hereafter by Russell Banks. It is such a good book, but really sad. It's funny how every now and then you just need a really good tear-jerker

I like Jodi Picoult, chick lit and mystery/drama/court room stuff. Any ideas?? Not sure if it fits your reading style, but if you haven't read it I hightly reccommend The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. It's definitely a great female read, but I wouldn't classify it as Chick-Lit. Another great read (again, if you haven't read it) would be Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts. And even if you've seen the movie, the book for Fried Green Tomatoes (by Fannie Flagg) is so worth a read. I've read it at least four times, I just love it. Here's a list of a few others I just loved, that you may like. They're not exactly like any of the authors you mentioned, but they have amazing stories (like Jodi Piccoult) that you just can't put down. You may have already read them (as they've been out a while), but I have to pimp them out all the same: White Oleander by Janet Fitch The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden Crow Lake by Mary Lawson and finally, some chick lit (I swear I'll stop soon) The Givenchy Code by Julie Kenner Other People's Weddings by Noah Hawley The Villa by Nora Roberts (I don't usually read her, but this one is actually pretty good) Summer Sisters by Judy Blume (yes, THAT Judy Blume, it was a book she wrote for adults) ok...I think I'm done now... I tend to get carried away when it comes to books
  7. Jennifer Hudson: The Secret Life of Bees
  8. Pay it Forward: Kevin Spacey

So add her to the slouchy shoulders club! I would definitely get a breast reduction, these things are the biggest pain. The hubby doesn't mind, but he doesn't have to carry them around. I'm going to take a serious look at it after we have kids, since I know they are only going to get bigger. What I wouldn't change is my nose. I've never had the best self esteem, but I have always liked the look of my nose, even when everything else on my body is ticking me off.
  13. Indiana Jones: Karen Allen

  20. Those are really pretty! A site called the Twilight Lexicon has a link to that site as well, along with pictures that Stephenie Meyer used as inspiration for her own description (Twilight Lexicon ) I have to say I think I'm most excited to see how the wedding will turn out if and when Breaking Dawn makes its way to theatres...I'm a sucker for weddings!
  21. I must be in the minority, I never felt any guilt for the money our guests would spend. Now it's not because I'm a selfish wench, but I knew they would spend more if I had an at home wedding, much more. My family is spread out from coast to coast, so flights alone into Ottawa would have been more than the cost of the cruise. I also lucked in because my MOH lives on the island I got married on, whereas if she were to come to Ottawa, again, it would cost way too much. Granted, I only had twenty people at my wedding, four of whom lived on the island already, but those twenty people made it the most amazing day, and in the end that's what will matter the most when you look back.
  22. For me, it all went by so fast it hardly felt like we spent any time at all. Everyone was off doing their own thing most of the time, so there really wasn't any sense of being surrounded by our guests. There were also only about fifteen of us on the cruise, so it was easy to "hide" if we really wanted to. We took a seven day cruise from Boston to Bermuda on NCL's Majesty, and loved every minute. Three and a half days on the island, three and a half at sea, then off on our honeymoon a few days after we got home. I wouldn't have done it any other way.
  23. There is a piece of music that plays at the end of Return of the Jedi that would be perfect for the fireworks. It's instrumental, and is both upbeat and hopeful. I'm not thinking of the original piece of music from 1983, but the piece that Lucas had written for his revamp in the late nineties. It's called Victory Celebration and is written and composed by John Williams, and if my flash player was working properly I'd find a link to share, but hopefully it will be easy to find. And I swear, it's not too cheesy or over-the-top Star Wars (this coming from a die hard fan). Another great choice would be any of the pieces from Holst's "The Planets". They set just the right mood for a fireworks performance. Good luck with your choice!
  24. Welcome fellow Bermuda Bride! Hope your planning goes smoothly and please, feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. I cruised to Bermuda for my wedding and can say it was an amazing time! Just be careful if you use the cruiseline planning company, they can be iffy. Happy Planning! Jenn
