I went off the pill two years ago since I was never good at taking it. I have been contemplating going back on it though because my cycle is very irregular and I have unbearable cramps. I have some friends that have tried the shot and all gained at least 20-30 pounds from it and they were very moody! However, meds are different for everyone so I think you just have to try it out and see what works best for you. I tried 3 different birth control pills and the only one I liked was Yasmin.

We plan on getting married at the courthouse prior to leaving for Mexico. We didn't want to deal with all the paperwork to have a legal wedding in Mexico.

This is so cute! I use Shutterfly all the time, and never thought of doing this. I think I may have to steal this idea...

Welcome to the forum! We initially looked into having our wedding there, but it was too expensive. I have not been there personally, but know many people who have and they have all said it is absolutely beautiful. It is a great scuba diving spot as well.

How rude! You would think the dress shop emplyees would be more polite. I'm going dress shopping for the first time in two weeks, and I am absolutely dreading it. I stood up in my best friend's wedding in April and shopping for the bridesmaid dresses was an awful experience. When the lady was getting the price she said OK the dress will cost $X for everyone except Michelle. I had to pay $30 since I needed the larger size according to my hip measurements. Which once I got the dress had to be taken in! I'm sure your dress will turn out beautifully once it is altered. Can't wait to see pics!

I'm so glad you posted this! I was looking into ordering these for my STDs, but was torn if I should do them myself or have them do it. I need to send out about 85, and don't think I have the patience to roll up all the papers! Was it difficult?

I know some of you on here are doing a starfish theme. I was at Pottery Barn and they have starfish and sea shells on sale (8 for $6.99) in case anyone is interested. They might be cute for small centerpieces or even for placecards.

t o the forum! That is so sweet that you are helping plan your cousin's wedding.

As of right now, I have my maid of honor and one bridesmaid. My fiance had intended on asking his one brother to be his best man, but now he's not coming. His other brother will be standing up (he's undecided if he is asking him to be his best man or not). We are going to wait to see who actually books their trips before he asks anyone else. I have one flower girl (my little sister who will be 6), and two ring bearers (my little brother who will be 4, and FI's nephew who will be 3). He has two nieces that we were going to include, but they are not coming. I prefer to keep it small so I'm OK with 2 adults on each side, but if there will be a lot of people attending and you want to have more stand up and they are willing to do it why not? Although the total cost of coming to a destination wedding may be higher than a local wedding, I have spent pretty close for weddings I have stood up in locally since many required a hotel stay for one or two nights, dresses and gifts, etc. I have also thought about paying for the girl's dresses, but I have to see how much we have left in our budget after all the other stuff is paid for.
