  1. OK, I know nothing about motorcross, but don't they wear some kind of uniform or outfit? Maybe you can wear part of that for your pics?

I don't think my curvalicious figure would look good in a sheath dress.
  3. Hi Jessica! Welcome to the forum. A cruise DW sounds fun.
  4. Awww!!! That was so sweet of your mom, and I'm glad you got the veil you wanted.
  5. I am so sorry for your loss. Even though you were not close with your dad you still need to have some closure. It is always hard to lose a family member, especially a parent. Take care of yourself and your baby, and my thoughts are with you.
  6. I like the picture and the wording will be great. You will have to post some pics once they are done!

She's Polish (I say this because Polish seamstresses are usually good) and she's in Arlington Heights. I can give you her info if you need. Yes, please send me her info (i'll send you my email address). My best friend/MOH is Polish and we got our dresses for her wedding altered by a Polish lady on the south side.

The store that I found these dresses at was House of Brides in Schaumburg. I went to Brides by Demetrios first, but there was more of a selection at HOB. I went to Columbia in Chicago, but had friends at DePaul so it is possible you seen me visiting.

I was leaning towards the first one because I think it will be easy to cover up any tan lines, but it could also be because it was one of the few that actually zipped all the way! I also think the second one is more appropriate for the beach since the train was not as long and was a little lighter since it didn't have as much netting underneath. I'm going to take my MOH with me next time to help me decide, but I really appreciate all the feedback. Now I really need to get going on my diet!
  10. We picked Riviera Maya based on our TA's suggestion. We were looking at Grand Cayman initially, but it was too expensive. We also considered California or Vegas, but we have both there. Neither of us have been to Playa del Carmen, but I have been to the surrounding areas of Mexico.
  11. This dress is so pretty. I love how you can "see it in motion" on the website. This will be so nice on the beach!
  12. I went dress shopping for the first time yesterday and fell in love with two dresses. Let me know what you think. BTW, if I go with the fuller one I am going to remove one layer of netting so it will not be sooo full. The less full one has a corset back and plain train. The sample dress was too small so I don't have any pictures of the back. I plan on getting the ivory color. Here are the links to the dresses on the websites. http://www.marysbridal.com/bridal/5762.htm http://www.morilee.com/DressDetail.aspx?C=2&D=6134&P=1
  13. I just went dress shopping for the first time yesterday. My mom passed away when I was 10, and any time a big event (especially my wedding) I always have a hard time not having her here with me. I had an entourage with me though: my two aunts, my cousin and my future mother in law. One of my aunts started to cry with the first dress which snowballed into all of us crying. It was a great experience, and I have two dresses that I really like. I will post the pics shortly!
  14. You're wedding is right around the corner, what do you have left to plan?
  15. I'm in the process of deciding which STDs I want as well. I really want the message in a bottle, but it looks like I will have to make them myself since I have so many to send out and I don't want to spend over $500 for STDs. I have all the information on our wedding website so I was just going to do a simple STD with the TA info and direct them to our webpage for additional info. We can include more detailed information with the actual invitations. Here are a couple sites that I have looked at that others have posted as well. http://www.invitationsbydawn.com/ http://www.invitationinabottle.com/ http://www.creativemontage.com/ http://www.ayleedesigns.com/ http://www.invitationconsultants.com
