  2. I work in the Real Estate industry in Philly. I currently manage the out-sales for a couple condo conversion and historic restorations in center city. i am looking to get away from the out-sales management and deeper into the development and project management. Great Idea!
  3. have a great trip erica! YAY!!!! and lots of pics haha
  4. Sarah - I want to create a magazine bound book of pics and stories for a wedding project. Do you think this software would work for this type of project? thanks, alyssa
  5. trovix a friend just emailed this to me - it looks pretty cool at first glance so i thought i would share it with everyone who is still looking for a new job!
  6. I haven't been to any of the Hawaiian Islands but wanted to join this thread so i can see all the responses since we are getting married on Molokai and trying to decide on which other Island to have our HM. BTW - you are so lucky you have family living there!!!!
  7. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! and thanks to PaulaV for always remembering to post threads for special occasions! :-)
  8. thanks girls! and thanks Jamy - those links are great i am going to start researching private home rentals as back ups! Unfortunately, we don't have a TA b/c I found the Lodge and started talking to them before I talked to TA so the buy out package "is not commissionable" so I am the TA!! AAAAAHHHHH going to check out the links now
  9. All of you out there are in my prayers - I am sorry for anyone this devestation touches
  10. Wow - FI and I are in shock, definitely feel blessed, loved and supported but definitely are kind of scared. We bought out our location (only 22 rooms) and have had 18 rooms totaling 35 guests book in the last 30 days. We ONLY have 4 left - there aren't really any other accomodation options besides the lodge on Molokai - i am starting to feel stressed out that more people than we anticipated will be coming and we won't be able to accomodate them!!!! Is it really rude to send out invites to 90 people thinking only 25 will come and then start to book up and not have room for people? what should i say?? AAAAAHHHHHH
  11. nice store! we have been talking to a couple of artists about having our wedding certificate custom made since we are doing a combination of a Ketuba and a Quaker Wedding Certificate. we are going to treat ours as art as well and don't want it to be the standard print stuff as for the glass - i really like those. i was thinking of a glass / mezuza (sp?) combo The Mango Tree# Quote: Originally Posted by Galit I have absolutely NO clue FI and I want to hang the Ketubah in our home after the wedding, so (in addition to being a meanigful symbol of our commitment, blah blah blah) we are treating it as a piece of art. I have spent some time on ketubah.com, but we can't seem to agree on much so far. The glass is pretty important too because we want to display it in one of these: The Mango Tree Unless I find some sort of awesome multicolored glass, I will probably just go with one of these in either blue or clear: The Mango Tree I should probably mention that Mango Tree is a store in my home town... it's FMIL's absolute favorite place to buy people gifts
  12. it looks so good on you!!! i love it - it has the right blend of formal and casual - perfect for Cabo!!!

Thanks Lizz!! but for the kind of photos i want to do - I definitely need to lose 20!!!!! i am lucky b/c i have plenty of time! Her prices are very reasonable - i talked to about 4 different photogs before i decided on her. i felt very comfortable with her and she is willing to think outside the box - for ex. i want to capture some pics at Lincoln Financial Field with just a (very) small and tight jersey - stuff that isn't just in a bedroom! she is willing to do multiple locations and said she will be able to turn around the pics really quick! PM me if you need more info
  15. Very Exciting! i booked Boudouir Photos today with a photographer who works in the Tri-State area. Her name is Jen Capone Jen Capone Photography. We met at Starbucks and talked out our ideas - i looked through about 5 photo albums of her work. She does mostly weddings and personal photography but used to do a lot of BD and is getting back into it in a big way. I booked the session for May 2008 since my wedding is next September. I am psyched to have the MAJOR MOTIVATOR to lose these last 20lbs!!!
  16. Lizz - that is nuts!!! he is very lucky that there hasn't been too much damage. i used to work with this guy who had his identity stolen and there was oveer $50K in loans / credit cards and bad debt on his SS#. Also - they used his info to get health insurance and his medical records were all screwed up!!!!
  17. i haven't read through the other comments yet but my first reaction is to send him the STD. I totally understand where you are coming from but at the end of the day you still need to feel good about yourselves and you may regret excluding him. let him be the one who chooses to exclude himself.
  18. Reggie - what a great way to start the morning! you are so welcome - we genuinely wanted to do whatever we could to get some smiles and some laughs from your girl who has been going through such a rough time. enjoy the B&B and eachother!!!! xoxo alyssa
  19. Thanks for the code! Question: how many bags did you order total (custom and plain?) thanks!!! Quote: Originally Posted by brigopens Can't help you with Victoria's Secret. Also had my mom, pick up some colored ones without messages at the M&M store to mix in since they are so expensive. All in all, it turned out pretty cool, and while expensive, it will look cool! They also just added some blends that have more than the standard two colors you can pick. I'm assuming most would go with colors they had picked for their wedding, but there's also a wedding blend. This should help a little... To break it down for you, the minimum you have to order is 4 - Custom Print 7oz Bags which comes to $47.96 then you get one 7oz bag for free. Subtotal: $47.96 Est. Shipping Cost: $12.95 Est. Total: $60.91 for 5 total 7oz bags...
  20. you know what else - i forgot to write - i have my account set up to send me an email every time there is a new response on a thread i am subscribed to. i noticed since at least Friday that those have not been coming and then came all at once over the weekend
  21. i just wanted to update this thread b/c i know Tammy (host) was working on fixing some things about 4 / 5 days ago - but my problems seem worse now - how about you ladies?
  22. FI is coming with me to pick it out so he will know what it looks like - he doesn't want to see it again once we pick it out so that the 'whole package' (hair, makeup, etc) will be a surprise!
  23. I nominate Christine for working hard to organize Heidi's gift. The BTB is tough - there are so many!!!! This month I nominate Lizz because she organzied a Philly girls gift, helped with our get together and is always supportive, welcoming to newbies and generally just great!
  24. FI and I had a rule "If we don't smile when we think of XXXX, they are NOT invited, period" We invited about 80 people and expect about 25 to 35 to actually come to Hawaii. As for the others - my mom is our gatekeeper (HAHA) - when my dad's cousins and 'distant' (meaning NEVER gave an F--K about me before but feel they should be invited to my wedding) relatives started calling her and bitching about how far and how expensive Hawaii is, she was like, "don't worry about, you're not invited anyway - only immediate family and close friends". FI and laughed our asses off!!!!
