LOL!!!
  6. If you want to be done and ready for the photographer at 3:30PM, maybe you should start around 12:30PM. This will give you an hour for hair, and hour for makeup and then another hour to relax, get your dress on and have a few drinks. You may want to start a little later depending on how much time you want to have once you're done. But you definitely don't need to start sooner than 12:30PM.
  7. Thanks Ladies!!! Everything turned out so great, I'm still on a high from it all. Everytime I see one of our guests from the wedding, they keep telling me how it was the best wedding they've ever been to and how they're still on a high from it too. I LOVE that!!!

Oh, definitely use it!!! It's so beautiful and I LOVE the way the two songs are merged together. And it's long enough for the entire wedding procession and you to use (about 4 minutes.)
  12. I didn't want a shower either (for the exact same two reasons you gave.) And after fighting my family, they gave in and didn't give me one (thank goodness.) Try to have a good time. Opening the presents will probably be the hardest part. So make sure the drinks keep coming during that part.
  13. My whole wedding procession and I walked into Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" by Isreal "Iz" Kamakawiwo'ole. And our recession was "Beautiful Day" by U2 (it played right on the chorus after we kissed.)

That's a lot of events.
  15. Hey Nicole, when are you going to be in NY? Are you going to be at BofA at 9 West? Let me know when you're going to be there, I'll stop by since my office isn't far. Or maybe we can just meet for lunch. Oh, and just to let you know, we got my E-ring from the other diamond district in NY (down in Little Italy.) We got my E-ring from Brad at Sulli Jewelers (I even tried to set him up with Typhaine but turns out he's married - oops!!!) Here is there website. We got a great diamond for a great price. I ended up getting my wedding band from him too. Sulli Jewelers, New York City
  16. I can definitely do June 1st. I may be able to do the other June dates, I just won't know for a little while.
  17. Since the R/T airport transfers provided by the hotels in Cabo are really expensive, Brendan and I decided to find our own transportation company and pay for this service for our guests. We ended up doing "collective service", since it was a lot less expensive. I worked with Gabriela at Los Cabos Airport Shuttle and she was great to work with. I give her an A. However, I give the company itself a C. I had created an Excel spreadsheet listing all my guests, their arrival airline, flight #, date, time, hotel and departure information. We only had 33 guests, yet they made quite a few mistakes. 19 of our guests were on one flight, so I paid for a private bus to pick them up. I needed 2 child car seats on that bus and I paid to have bottled water given out to everyone. Well, they put both car seats next to each other in the front row (not smart) and one of the car seats WASN'T EVEN WORKING!!! They also forgot the water. I called the company (but I didn't speak to Gabriela directly) and I mentioned that we were using the same bus the next night to take us to the Welcome Dinner and they needed to give us two car seats that worked and move them to the middle of the bus. When they arrived to pick us up for the Welcome Dinner, I checked the bus first to make sure we had two new car seats and that they were moved . . . they weren't. But the driver was very helpful with trying to fix the seats and he did move them to the middle of the bus after I told him to. This was very frustrating and embarassing. We also had one couple that was never picked up (they had to find another shuttle to take them to their hotel - I was VERY embarassed by this and I ended up paying them back for their trip.) When I emailed Gabriela about it, she tried to tell me they were a "no show" but the information I had on my spreadsheet was correct and THEY WERE THERE!!! She ended up sending them a private Escalade on their return trip to make up for it. The day my sister left, her shuttle never showed up. After waiting 15 minutes, I called and was told their shuttle broke down. When I said, "Did you send another one?" They said they would do it then. Why didn't they just send it right away, I don't know. We waited another 15 minutes and then Brendan and I finally just drove my sister and her boyfriend to the airport. This was during all the American Airlines cancellations so we couldn't wait around. A few of our guests said that they had trouble finding "Los Cabos Airport Shuttle" at the airport. The company was suppose to have a rep hold up a sign that said "McFarland/Magee wedding." Some of the time they held it up, some of the time they didn't. As my guests were arriving, and they would tell me about their experienece with the shuttle company, I would emailed Gabriela about the problems and she was great. She made up for most of it by providing some private Escalade's for our guests on their returns to the airport. I wasn't looking to get any money back, I just wanted everything to run smoothly. We didn't have 100's of people. And this isn't rocket science. They weren't horrible and for the most part, they did a good job. I know there are going to be some mistakes. But honestly, I expected the service to be a little better. There are tons of great transportation companies in Cabo - do your research and make sure you have a point of contact that you can call or email with any problems you come into. Or better yet, have your WC take care of this for you. I didn't do that, and now that I think about it, I should have. It would have made my life a lot easier that weekend.
  18. Wow Heidi, those pics are great. I can't wait to see the rest. You and Reggie look so happy and it looks like you had a beautiful day too. Can't wait to see the BD & TTD pics too.
  19. I'm kind of happy you're all rescheduling. This way I can try to make the next one.
  20. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I hope this is a great day for you.
  21. Very cute. And I really like the style (drawstring backpack.) Your guests may get a lot of use out of these, especially if they plan to do some site seeing. This is a great day bag while you're out on the town.
  22. Thanks so much Amy, I was just about to PM you. I think I got it now.
