  2. Ok, I'm officially an idiot - I can't figure out how to create the back side of these damn postcards!!!!! And I'm getting very frustrated. I'm SO NOT a techy and this whole process is pissing me off. Morgan - HELP ME!!!!

In power point there is a line option in the draw menu. Thanks so much for getting back to me on this, and so quickly!!! I'm not adding text to the front of the postcard (I should have mentioned that before.) So this should work fine. It's for my Thank You postcard and we already have the words Thank You written in the sand. Thanks for the heads up on the back of the card. That was what I thought, but I can't find the template. I'll keep looking. Thanks!
  4. I'm trying to make some postcards and I have a question about the back side. How do you add that line that runs down the middle so you can separate the left side (where you write your note) and the right side (where you put the recipents address?) Also, for the front side, do you really have to work in photoshop or PP or one of those softwares? I just downloaded the picture straight from my computer with no editing and it looked pretty good. What do you think?
  5. I actually got a bunch of teasers from him yesterday. Here's the link to the thread I started with them. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t20795
  6. Oh Christine, I'm soooo sorry you have to deal with this now. That SUCKS!!!

  8. Thanks everyone!!! I actually told Juan Carlos it was probably a bad idea to send these to me. Now I want to see them ALL!!!
  9. Finally, here are a few pics. The first two are wedding pics, the next four are TTD pics and the last is our Thank You pic (taken during our TTD shoot.) Enjoy!!!
  10. WOW, these are really great pics!!! BTW - I LOVE your gold dress and jewelry - ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!! Everything and everybody looked so great. I love the pic of your DH looking at the camera when he went to take the ring from his BM. The expression on his face is priceless.
  11. Oh Carly, I'm sooo excited for you. Everything is beautiful - your dress, shoes, handbag, OOT bags, outfits. It's all going to come together so great. Enjoy every minute but be sure to hurry back and post more pics!!!
  12. I used the Hilton for my hair and I was pretty pleased with them. Good thing I booked a trial because it took a few tries until we finally got it right. I also booked a trial makeup but wasn't happy with it so I did my own makeup. I think it came out pretty good.

I was just wondering which airline did u fly down in and was it a direct flight? We flew Continental out of Newark. It was actually a non-stop flight, which was GREAT!!! But I know there are flights on American out of JFK & LGA too. What part of Queens are you from? I'm from Astoria (lived here my whole life.) And Glenda (who posted just after you) is from Flushing. If you're seriously interested in the Hilton, search some of my past threads to read about my experiences. It may help you when negotiating with them. Good luck and let me know if you need any help or have any questions.
  14. So it's the 22nd I'm in!!!! Where are we meeting?
  15. I did it for the first time before my wedding and it was great. Every time I shave, it's nice and smooth the first day (maybe second day) and then I start to get some stubble. We had 3 days of events, back to back, where I had sleeveless dresses on so I wanted to be smooth the whole time. I let the hair grow for 10 days before I had it done. And it lasted over a week before stragglers started coming in. It's been a month since I did it and the hairs still haven't grown in as much as they used to - I'm shaving less and there is less to shave when I do. I'm even considering doing it more often now.
  16. Wow, great review and pics!!! I was thinking about you on your wedding day and wondering how it was going. So glad you had a great day. I'm sorry about your cake. Jennifer made mine too and I was really happy with it.
  17. Looks like Brendan and I will be joining you at Senor Swanky's. We have plans in the morning so we can't do the cruise. And we have a tentative family get together that night. But since we're free in the afternoon we can definitely stop Swanky's. Can't wait to see/meet you all.

My WC used a GREAT vendor and got me a great rate for 2 minutes of fireworks. It was only $900 a minute which I actually ended up splitting with the Hilton because of some mistakes they made and were making up for. If you do them, do it with the cake cutting and don't tell anyone. EVERYONE was going NUTS when our fireworks went off. It really topped off a great event.

He says that we'll have ours in a few days. In January, after reading some of the frustrations from brides last fall, I asked when I could expect to have the pictures. He told me that I would DEFINITELY have my pictures by April because he wasn't shooting many weddings in March and he had friends coming in ... but in the last email I got he says that he usually tells brides 3 months ... is this what you were told? Yes, originally he told me three months. But then, about a month before my wedding, he emailed me and asked if he could order some computer editing equipment and have it shipped to me to bring down to Cabo for him (which of course I did.) When we met up a few days before the wedding to give him his stuff, he said these things were going to help make editing the pics so much faster and I would have my pics even quicker. He didn't say how quick exactly. And to this day I still haven't emailed him. Like you said, I don't want to add any pressure. I would rather wait a little longer and know my pics will be GREAT!!! However, he did tell me over 2 weeks ago that I would have a couple of teaser pics in a few days, and I still haven't received anything. I'm not sure if I should ask again. Oh yeah and that little girl in the white dress is adorable! Congrats again! Oh Glenda, thank you so much. Yes, that's my mom in that dress. She's actually gotten more compliments on her dress than I did on mine - LOL!!! Oh, and that little girl is Gretchen. She's so freaking cute!!!
  21. OMG Michelle, your day is quickly approaching. Are you so excited or what?
  22. How about asking her to read something (Bible verse, poem, etc.) She would be much more involved that way, but not as a BM.
  23. Geez Steph, now I'm crying!!!! Seriously, you are so freaking gorgeous!!! Love your dress, hair, makeup, flowers, cake, candy bar - the whole thing. I'm so happy for you that you had a great day. Can you believe it's over though. I mean, all that planning and it's over so quickly. How does it feel to be married now?
  24. Um, thanks for the heads up that these are rated XXX. Geez, Heidi, I had no idea you had that in you. You go girl. Great pics!!!! Oh, and yeah, I LOVED the waterfall pics too. Fabulous!!!
  25. That's awesome!!! I love hearing good new like this - especially if it involves doggies.
