  1. Stunning! I love your colors and your center pieces. Everything was absolutely beautiful. Where did you get married? jess
  2. I couldn't believe the cost. Its like $30 for a hardback cover. My FSIL really does an awesome job and I wouldn't have to pay her anything. SO my only cost would be getting them into a book and I would like good quality since it is such an intimate gift. jess
  3. Yeah iphoto is a apple thing but I saw a link to iphoto on Mypublisher. These are all new to me so just trying to figure everything out. My FSIL does all of her editing and photography stuff on a Mac so I thought iphoto might work best but if there are other books that are better quality I would like to use them. jess
  4. Girls, what about iphoto? My FSIL is a photographer working her way up and she said she would take my BD pics. I have been looking into photo books. What's up with iphoto? jess
  5. I am getting married in July and I am a little worried about the weather. But hey its Mexico its suppose to be hot. I live in the valley outside of Los Angeles and our summers are like in the 100's so I am not too worried about it. I went to Cabo maybe 2 years ago in August and I loved it. However I was in a bikini everyday. I wasn't thinking about being in a wedding dress. I am a teacher so I would like to get married during the summer and July was the only time. Good luck, Jess
  6. Has anyone used iphoto books? Are those not as good quality because they seem very reasonable? jess
  7. So not all of you are doing weight watchers? Some are just calorie counting? WW has worked for me in the past so I feel like I should try it again. Maybe we could create our own weekly weigh in or something to help motivate each other. Jess
  8. How do I enter the lottery? jess
  9. I really need to get back on track. Last year for my FI sister's weddign I lost 30lbs doing WW. Unfortunately I have gained almost all of it back. I won't go shopping for a dress until I lose at least 10lbs first. May be it woul dbe could if we could post our food intake and exercise log. I need the motivation!!! Good luck girls! jess
  10. This is what Mariana has given me so far: Surcharge for ceremony and cocktail $25.00 us per person & surcharge for dinner $25.00 us per person (non guests pay a day pass of $85.00 us). Besides that, it would be hard to tell you an exact amount money for flowers, music and decoration because that always depends on what you choose, but just to give you some ideas of decoration costs: - chair bows $2.00 us each (the chairs with the white covers are included) - colorful overlays $10.00 us each - tiki torches $5.00 us each - votives $2.00 us each - huppa for ceremony at the beach $200.00 us - for flowers it depends but you can spend from $100.00 to $500.00 us - music price list is attached I have the price list for entertainment too if your interested. However I do see some price differences one bride here got the bows for $1.00 each and the DJ they quotedme cost $300 or so an hour whereas DJ Ricardo quoted me $225 hour. Jess
  11. Love the colors! Are they for the ceremony or the OOT bags. I love getting new ideas. I woould love to get started on these things but I still have a year and really have no clue how many will be coming. jess
  12. I love the JCrew BM dresses! Since we are getting married in July I am not sure my FI will wear a suit as it might be too hot. I like anything beige/tan and white. Jess
  13. Well if most of your guests are already booked I would not send a save the date, but I still would send formal invites that include both the DW wedding and the AHR. In the invite you should include info and RSVP's for both the DW and the AHR. Invitations are nice keepsakes even for those who do not attend. jess
  14. Thanks. The pics were great. It looks like everyone had a great time. I love the pic of your bouquet with the starfish. Also where did you get your BM dresses? jess
  15. Do you have a link to your pics? I would love to see them. Also what time did your ceremony start? I am not sure what time to start it. Thanks, Jess
  16. Do you know of the white chair covers with ribbon are extra?
  17. Thanks so much for the great pictures. We probably won't do a site visit until next year. However I don't know if I really want to do a site visit. I think I might want to enjoy it as it comes.
  18. I emailed Mariana at Dreams to see if she could give me some price lists on things like flowers and any extras for the reception that I might want. I want to see what areas I can splurge on and what areas I need to be more reserved on. So far between the ceremony site fee. food, videographer, photographer and accomodation for me and my FI we have already spent half of our budget. I felt as though money would go so much further in Mexico, which I think it does, but there are just so many things I want to do. jess
  19. Oh that is so sad to hear. When I got my shih tzu I had to take him to the vet several times for who knows what. But he is my baby and I would do anything for him. I wish the best for Jack. jess
  20. Thanks for the pics. I am leaning towards surf and turf as well. It's good to hear that it was good. jess
  21. Thanks for the pics. I really like cascada. Jess
  22. I am getting married at Dreams, Los Cabos next July. My ceremony will be at the gazebo however as far as the reception goes the pics for the two different sites haven't helped much. I cant tell which I like best. Does anyone have good pics of the two different sites? Its either the Cascada or Oceana Terrace. Thanks, Jess
  23. I need help with my budget. One of the reasons I chose to have a DW was the money. Here in L.A. the prices are ridiculous!! I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding that wasn't everything I wanted. Since choosing Dreams, Los Cabos I am having a hard time figuring our my budget. I know what I have to work with but I am unsure of how much everything costs down there. I know the price for the menu and ceremony fee, videographer and photographer but other than that I don't knwo what I will or can spend on other aspects of my wedding. Can anyone offer some advice. Just because I have a certain amount doesn't mean I want to spend all of it either. It's hard to make decisions when I am not sure how they fit into my budget. I was using the budget calculator from weddingchannel.com but it doesn't seem to allocate money to other parts of the budget when I am less than the suggested amount. Any advice? Thanks, Jess
  24. OOT...Out of Town Guest Bag. Most include travel size aspirin, toiletries, snacks and other fun stuff. Theres a thread here where brides have posted all the fun ideas they had. jess
  25. I got my clip art at dafont.com and I also had Aylee { aylee designs } make me some monograms which I think I need changed because I changed my wedding colors.
