  1. Congratulations! It's exciting and overwhelming. I am so happy that I found this website. Everyone has been so nice and so generous with their advice. Are you getting married in Cabo? Have you been there before? Any ideas yet? I don't feel its real yet. I think once I set the date then that's when it will be official. I look forward to talking with you. Good luck, Jessica
  2. Again I think I am thinking too much about what other people might want for my wedding. I am thinking if people make a vacation out of our wedding woul dthey rather stay at Dreams or RIU rather than thinking where would I rather have my wedding.
  3. Hi It seems like the 2 spots to get married in Cabo are Dreams id RIU. What made you choose RIU over Dreams? I am trying to figure out what I want without ever seeing these two spots personally. The pics look great of both locations. Whats the deal with the 2 RIU locations? Are they near each other? Thanks for any info. Jess
  4. Hi, Since I haven't personally seen either resort I was hoping to get some info from some fo you that have. I am in the early planning stages and it seems as though these two resorts stand out. What made some of you choose one over the other? I wouldn't mind my guests and I being closer to town and we like to have a good time which is making me lean towards RIU. However it seems as though there are so many Dreams brides I am wondering what won you over. Also I want my wedding ceremony to be nice and not have jet skis flying by or be disrupted by noise. Is this what will happen at RIU? I get the impression from some of you that RIU is a "party" location. What exactly do you mean by this because that could be good or bad depending on what you want. Thanks, Jessica
  5. Hi Tammy, Well I wouldn't mind being closer to Cabo San Lucas so a hotel there would be nice. Would you mind checking RIU out for me? My FI likes the summer months but it doesn't seem that the weather is the best then. Why did you chose Dreams over RIU? Some brides have said that RIU is more of a party scene. Maybe that would be best for us? Either way could you check out RIU and Dreams please? Thanks, Jessica
  6. I viewed a thread regarding average cost for guests and I can't seem to find it. Do you know where it is?
  7. It seems my two choices would be Dreams and RIU from according to most of the brides here. By the way your pics were beautiful!
  8. Hi Tammy, I am leaning towards May. What should I do next?
  9. I checked out your website and loved it. What service did you use?
  10. Thanks! I am min the very beginning stages of planning. What made you decide to choose RIU? It seems that RIU and Dreams are the main spots to get married. Do you mind me asking how much RIU charges for rooms? May ounds like a good time of year since its the low season and this may lower costs. Thanks again, Jessica
  11. Hi ladies, My name is Jessica and I am new to this forum. I appreciated all of the responses to your posts in the Newbies thread. Well now that I have decided to get married in Cabo I have to pick a date. I have heard so many different things about when to go that I am not sure what to do. I knwo things book up quickly so I may not even have much of a choice. I thought about July but I heard there are thunderstroms during this time. Ladies what do you know about the weather and high season? Thanks, Jessica
  12. Hi Tammy, I think Cabo is what I want to do. What time of year would be good? I am hoping for 2008. There is a wealth of information here which is great but it also makes some decision making hard. What did you think about RIU? I am leaning towards Dreams because of your beautiful pics and others. It seems as though RIU and Dreams are the main spots for weddings. When I don't think about anyone else Cabo is what I want to do. I have a hard time not thinking about other people or putting other people before me. This is my wedding I should do what I want. I am anxious to start planning and to set a date. Any and all help you could provide would be great. Thanks, Jessica
  13. Wow! I did not exoect so many replies to my post. I thank all of you for taking the time to encourage me to do what I want to do. The thought of getting married in Cabo really excites me. I hope both my FI and I can come to an agreement and have the best day of our lives. I think I really need to stop thinking about everyone else and concentrate on what my FI and I want. The more I think of Cabo the more excited I get. I am mostly excited about celebrating my wedding for several days rather than for one evening. How often do you get to take a vacation with your family and friends. Hopefully soon we will make a decision and start planning. By the way I loved all of your pics by Juan. I will definitely use him if we decide on Cabo. Thanks!!!!!! Jessica Thanks again!!!!!!!!
  14. Hi, I have been engaged for 5 months and have yet to make real wedding plans that excite me. However a few days ago my uncle mentioned Cabo and I have been excited ever since. I have been to Cabo 4 times and have always had a wonderful time. The only problem I have is what will other people think. I need to believe that this is my day and I should celebrate it the way I want to. Has anyone else had similar feelings of what will relatives or friends think about a destination wedding?
