We are registered because my sisters want to throw me a shower. Can't have people feeling odd about not getting a gift if they WANT to buy you something. By regisitering I feel like you are offering suggestion not demanding gifts. Kind of like when your grandma handed you the Penny's catalog and asked you to pick stuff.

I actually should hold off on the vote until I can get the better photos on here. We are voting on the color and once I get the better pic up we can do the dress. I look creepy in the second photo.

These are not the best photos as I had no clue when they were going to be taken because no one knows how to use my camera. That and no flash was used--enough of the excuses. I am fair skinned (read-pale) and have lots of freckles. Reddish hair as well. Now here is my question--My sisters are encouraging me to get a cream colored dress over white. What do you think? I really don't have a huge preference so I thought I would throw it out there for you to see. Plus I know you all love photos. Nothing like seeing yourself in a wedding dress to encourage you to tone up and loose more weight ( already 15 down ) I am not sure if you can really make out the difference. This one is very simple and more my style than some of the ones with lots of beading. This one is very white. Ignore the silly face! This one is off-white or cream. It has a flower on that I hate so would take it off and cover it with a pin. Arrgh I am so tired so I hope this makes sense. Oh and stay tuned for engagement photos--we got them done last night and I should have them by the end of the week!!

I hope she doesn't mind me sharing but she is doing ok.She is anxious about the course of the fire. She leaves on Thursday and she wants fingers crossed that it stays south and not near her resort/wedding! Cross those fingers ladies!

I have been emailing her (as a fellow future tahoe bride) and I am pretty sure she is still at home waiting to go to Tahoe. I will let you all know if she mentions anything about moving it. I hope that it goes well for her as this isn't a stress she needs right now. I wonder if we will have to move locations...

I did save-the date-magnets then attached them to a postcard. The magnets are printed on blank sheets of business card stock then I attached a magnet to the back. The post cards are done on Avery’s brand of postcard. I bought cute paperclips and attached the magnet to the postcard. I then used just basic white invitation envelopes. If I had to guess I would say about $35 for the magnet strips, postcard stock, paper clips, envelopes and business cards. I will attach the postcard but I can't find the magnet/business card file. Let me know if you want to see it and I can scan a copy of it tomorrow. The magnet went on the left side that is why it is blank/green yes1.pdf

There maybe some copyright issues with the songs and that is why she won't do it. I have made DVD slide shows for my sisters wedding and I am doing one for our guest to watch while they have drinks and wait for us to get to the reception. If she won't re-do it for you I would be happy to do it. The software is great and it is professional.

It is Bunker Hills and I think you both probably have seen it. There is a Golf Course and a beach (?) We went out on sunday to scout the site thinking we were late enough in the day and that no one would be there. Well I looked like a crazy stalker lady taking pictures of the tables while people were sitting on them!!

Here is mine. I am having issues find a wedding band that will work due to the unique design of it. I may buy a simple band at first than get it professionally done later.

We are having our engagement/pre-wedding party this summer and I need some help. This is the only party we will have in MN and I know a lot of our family can't make the trip so I want to make it fun. We are on a very tight budget as I am planning on quitting my job to go to school full time (yikes!) but I am pretty good at DIY stuff. We have rented out a beautiful pavilion located by a lake ( it is MN after all) and the picture doesn't show it but there are 10 very long newer picnic tables that fill the room up. On the far end there is a table of sorts that had plug-ins for electrical outlet that we will be using to warm food. Soooo I need help making the tables look nice with out spending too much money. I had thought about using table clothes but after seeing that the tables are nice I am going to skip that but am looking for a way to dress the tables up. My idea is to buy thick ribbon ( about 4 inches wide) and have to run the length of the table. Then placing tea light or votive down the center. The problem is that now we are looking at 5 candle holders per table plus the cost of ribbon. I purchased paper lanterns and am planning on hanging them up and I also have a few hurricane candle holders that will be displayed on the lead table. I am making a tree that will hold fairies and butterflies and also serve a purpose in that the name tags will be clipped to it. Maybe this is good enough but I would like to hear what else you girls can offer up . THANKS!
