I say let her bring him as well. As long as you are not expected to pay his way then it shouldn't matter. The most important wedding pictures he would not be included in so that shouldn't be a worry. If it makes you feel any better........My love is a bar manager and somehow we are having quite a few of the regulars from the bar coming to our wedding and staying the whole week!! I know most of them slightly, one of the guys girlfriend I have yet to meet! But I figure, whatever...the more the merrier!!

Have you checked the reviews on tripadvisor for each of your choices? In my travels I have found the majority of the reviews to be accurate.

Hi I am also getting married at this resort. I have found some pictures of the beach location and the jungle location by doing a search on the Internet. I am in debate on which location to choose. I really wanted to do it on the beach, but the pictures I have seen have men in speedos and those yellow chairs in the background. Not very appealing. Guess I just have to wait until we get there to decide. This link shows a couple pictures of the jungle location, Ron & Judy's Wedding - January 17, 2001 About the beach, I have read that it is one of the better beaches in Playa. I have also heard that from people who have been there. From what I understand many of the resorts don't even have a beach left.

Adhesive monograms Sounds great, but what are they and where could I find them? I was thinking of putting each persons name on them with the year or something like that on them with a marker but your idea sounds much better!!

Was just at Walgreens to pick up a prescription and was wondering around waiting when there they were....2 14 oz travel mugs for $3.00!!! I grabbed the five packs they had and had them call area stores to find me more. They are in a few different colors and are pretty nice too. So excited, just had to share the deal if anyone else is looking. Tracy

How much are you suppose to tip? Is it based on percent of the service rendered or a typical rate?

Jaime- We have not been there. I just am going off of other peoples reviews and advice from tripadvisor. They have been pretty accurate in my travels so far! Maybe when you get back you could share some pictures and your thoughts with me!

We are paying for my MOH and his BM travel expense. Working on OOT bags, reception after ceremony, and I need to look into a welcome dinner. We are at an all-inclusive so I think I just need to make reservations for everyone at one of the restaurants. I looked into doing a a day trip and paying for everyone, we just can't afford that. I love the idea of using the resorts free activities and having some sort of prizes.

I just got a puppy last week as part of my plan to exercise. So far so good. I have no choice but to take the puppy out and run with her to wear her out! I am trying to do crunches every day, but it is hard to motivate myself. 6months to go, I am hoping I can make a noticable difference.

I found mine at the dollar store, the scent is "ocean" and there are two to a pack, very cute.

Natasha- great point, that would be horrible to trip. I was considering buying some cause they are very nice. I will have to try on my dress again and see if there are any potential problems.

I wish I had sent the invitations sooner than I did. I booked as a group in order to get the discounted rate and the every 21st person pays only the taxes. By doing this I was given 10 days from the time she reserved the rooms to the time I had to have deposits and full names for everyone going. It was a nightmare because I had only mailed the invites the day before. So the day they are getting them I am calling saying you have only a couple days to decide to lock in at those particular rates and guarantee a spot on the plane. I now have a few more couples wanting to come and it will just cost them a couple hundred more than what everyone else paid. I sent them almost 7 months before the date.

The main reason for my choice was the beach. The stretch in front of this hotel is suppose to be one of the best, especially right now with the way the sea is taking over most beaches in Playa del Carmen. Kids are allowed All inclusive - top shelf drinks and good food I really like the thought of looking out my balcony and seeing monkeys. The price is fairly reasonable.

Also look into the Iberostar Tucan/Queztal. It is one of the few resorts that has a decent beach left. They also have a jungle like atmosphere which I find appealing.

Thanks everyone!! Jaime, I have never been to Playa Del Carmen, only Cancun. I used another travel website and researched extensively. After we decided, I found out a couple that we are friends with have been to that resort twice already and they love it. The wedding planner there has been very quick to anwser my questions and seems that all will be just fine. I am not too picky, I'm just in it for the vacation Nini Bride, I actually only sent out about 25 invites. We planned on only immediate family and a few close friends. However, the more we talk about it or people hear, they are wanting to come as well.

Hello, I am getting married in Playa Del Carmen on November 15, 2007. We have about 35 people coming so far with more signing up weekly. We are very excited. I am glad to have found this website, I have found some very valuable information already in the short time I have been reading. Tracy
