  1. There is a great deal of good info to help plan!! Congrats
  2. I agree, I would call her on it for sure. I would tell her you are able to see who has looked at your pictures and ask why your wedding pics weren't important enough to look at. That sucks to have a friend like that and love their child like you do. I am in a similar situation with my once best friend. Long ugly story, but I understand.
  3. When you arrive to the airport there are ladies that pass out bags with coupons and assorted papers. In that bag they have really good maps of both the hotel zone and downtown. I have one I could send you, or just tell your guests to grab one of the free bags when passing.
  4. Congrats!! So exciting, bet you can't stop staring at your beautiful ring!
  5. The Harriton tote bag is cheaper at this site, they have some cute other ones as well. Wholesale Blank Bags - Tote -JiffyShirts.com
  6. I voted blue, you look gorgeous in it. I think you should save the white for the "real" wedding.
  7. I picked number two as well, I like both though!!
  8. There is so much good info here!
  9. My MIL is not coming to our wedding. She will not get on a plane if it were to save her life. We thought we could get her to change her mind. We are down to 3 1/2 months and everyone booked, but her. I am pretty sure we are going to do the legal wedding here(mainly to avoid the extra work). If we do, we will have both sets of parents come with (not telling anyone else). This way technically she(MIL) is still apart of her first born and only son getting married. Maybe you would consider doing the same if she won't change her mind.
  10. Thanks everyone for showing your luggage tags. I was going to buy them, now I am thinking of making them myself! They all look great and kinda fun to make.
  11. We are taking our honeymoon in January. We thought about just staying another week after everyone left, but this way it breaks up the winter a little more. Not sure where we are going yet. We are looking into the Turks and Caicos.
  12. I go the same reply as you Angela! I'm working on him, if I try hard enough, he will change his mind.

Cancun has many beautiful hotels to chose from. Happy planning!!
  15. There is a lot of good info here. I understand trying to find a resort that is reasonable for your guests, it's tough to decide. Good luck choosing, make sure to check out all the posts in the RM/Cancun Accommodations & Site area!!
  16. My boyfriend wants the AHR and I don't really care so my best friend had the same idea, tell him to plan it. I did tell him and he says he is planning. Only thing is he won't tell me what he is planning. Not even where the party will be, he says I will get an invite like everyone else. My mom is freaking out and I must admit I am a bit nervous as well! Oh well, as long as I'm invited!
  17. Such great ideas, I really like the photo one.
  18. I have wondered about this, if it would be ok to not have chairs. I know that the hotel we are at has one hotel next to it then nothing. I wanted to look into getting married where there is nothing, plus it be be more private. My only concern was getting chairs over there. MERRYME - I like how you had yours! I may have to look into doing this.
  19. Sorry, I should pay better attention, I see you read the reviews.
  20. Hi, I have stayed at the Cancun Oasis twice, it shares the same property as Grand Oasis and many of the same restaurants and bars. Have you looked at tripadvisor for the reviews? I have some pictures I could share with you, just let me know. Tracy
  21. I am having kids at our wedding. There will be 7 ranging from 9 months to 14. Two will be mine. I agree that weddings are usually not the place for children. If we were to be having a wedding here, the reception would be no children for sure!! However, I am with the others that most moms will not leave their children home while on vacation. Including myself, so children will be there. I really have always wanted to get married with my toes in the sand so a destination wedding was a must for me. I also must have our children attend, so we figured let everyone bring theirs. Which won't be too bad because my kids will have plenty of friends to play with. My big concern is what these children will witness during the 7 night stay. I can't ask our friends without children to be watching their mouths and just being "good" because kids are present. We have some crazy friends and relatives. Most are older and have grown children, but still crazy. They like to drink and have a really good time, for sure will be first in line when the bars open at 10 in the morning!! It's vacation after all. I know that the moms that are bringing kids know what my family is like, and what they themselves are like when drinking. We have joked that we will need a pill to erase parts of that week from the kids memory! So I can understand not wanting children at your wedding, especially if you do not have kids. If it wasn't for me having my two, I would never have them at mine. Don't feel bad.
  22. I thought I read about someone doing a special list for the single travelers in the group. It was to have pick up lines and so forth on it. Does anyone have a copy of that one as well?
  23. There is a great deal of excellent information here! Try not to stress too much, that is suppose to be one of the benefits of a destination wedding!
  24. There is so much great info here, you'll be hooked!!
