  1. this totally just jump started my list! thanks!
  2. love this thread, keep it coming! I've got 8 items on my packing list now!
  3. Great pictures! You must be so excited! I love how your oot bags turned out!
  4. La Palapa.... that sounds fun. I may have to check this out for our welcome reception. Don't suppose you have a website??
  5. It's a slighly sweetheart neckline. Dress is really plain except for lace around the middle (under boobs to hips), and a ribbon around the waist. I think I'm going to sew bra cups into the dress. No spanx, corsets, or any of that junk! BUt I want cute undies!!!!!! I want blue boy shorts that say I <3 Joe on them.
  6. I am cracking up over here! I can't believe you guys are packing. You are WAY beyond me. I haven't even put together a packing list! Michelle - I LOVE LOVVE LOVE LOVE LOVE your jewelry. where did you buy it? Danielle - I set up a special photobucket photo sharing account for our wedding guests. I'm sending them the link, log in and password, in their pretrip mailing. I really hope they upload photos. On a random note, we got an email from 2 of Joe's cousins saying that they have booked their trip and were just wondering if we could tell them where Joe's parents were staying. UM..... you didn't RSVP!!! Thank god you emailed us! I love how people just don't RSVP and think they can show up!
  7. OMG I think i better look at the rest of these when I get home and don't have to fear my boss walking in!
  8. My biggest "to do" right now is wedding undergarments, and jewelry. I have been looking and looking, but just can't seem to find what I want. I really wanted my jelewry to be my "somthing borrowed" from my mom, but she hardly wears any. So I could do just diamond studs, or pearl studs. I'm horrible at matching jewelry with things. And I wasn't planning on a necklace, so shouldn't I do dangly earrings?
  9. I would say titanium as well. I love the look of it. But isn't Titanium the kind of metal that can never be resized because you cannot cut it?
  10. Hands down #2 for me. It's SOOOO flattering and SOOO pretty! I love it! #1, is a little more trendy, IMO
  11. aww poor matt. i actually kind of liked him!
  12. welcome!! I am also a LC bride, you'll find lots of info here on LC!!

  14. great pictures! his white board note totally made me teary!
  15. this thread is quickly turning into my favorite one out there! New recipies, good feedback, and lots of support! I will try and top weighing my self so much, but I've been doing it everyday for so long that it's kind of habit. Maybe 2 a week would work. Maura, I'm almost glad to know you didn't see results in the first week - that's so bad! But here I was thinking it wasn't working at all, and maybe it is and I just don't know it yet. But I do feel better. Went horse back riding today, and was so nervous that this would be the time I'd get some crazy urge and need to haul ass to the bathroom, all the while I'm in the middle of the desert. I told you! It's so mental for me! Nothing happened, but leave it to me to worry about it! I also bought a digital food scale last night. SOOO much easier to figure out correct portions now!
  16. cute! i take it one of you works for adidas?!

Instead I made a big salad and literally, sprinkled bits of the taco meat on my salad, tiny sprinkle of cheese, and a couple teaspoons of sour cream. I'm not exactly sure on the fat content, but I know I hardly had anything with fat, so I'll be fine. I'm very proud of myself for staying strong! Dang it. I literally just emailed FI to say "I'm hungry for tacos". But good for you for sticking with it!! I have to say, I am a little dissapointed that I have not seen any decrease in the number on the scale. I know it's only been 4 days, but I was kind of expecting to see something, even if it was small.
  18. i want our wedding to be tomorrow!!!! ahhh, i just want to finally see what i've been anticipating for a long time now! and thanks ann for the feedback. crossing one thing of my DIY list! yeay!
  19. I've completed my 3rd full day on Alli. I have to say, the poop thing is totally psychological for me! Day number one I was fine all day long, no worries, no strong urges, but the second I left the house I was like "ahh, i gotta go" but really, it was all in my head. kinda funny. FI was laughing so hard. He got a kick out of the fact that i was so OCD about poop, that i actually made myself think i had to. He told me i need a hobby! Since then, I haven't had anything strange. TMI, i go more often now, but nothing crazy and it's not like i'm screaming running for the bathroom at all. So, i am totally loving this diet. Today I had a bagle with regular cream cheese for breakfast (total 9 grams of fat, 300ish calories, i can't remember exactly right now). As soon as i finished my bagle a coworker came in with mexican breakfast burritos. Old Tara would have said "what the hell, i might as well have one since she went to the trouble to make it" new Tara says "how will I ever know how many calories and fat is in that?! I didn't make it. I can't put it on my food journal, I can't eat it! Plus I just ate and am not hungry. Good job self!" I was a total skeptic at first... if you read the beginig of this thread you will see that, so thanks Maura for being a guine pig and testing it out!
  20. Wow Amy! Sounds like it was crazy time - both good and bad. Your pictures... they are stunning! I cannot wait to see the rest!!!!!!!

Just moved here not too long ago, and here's what I know now: 1. It's hot 2. our neighboor across the side street was initially really friendly... until she found out we didn't have kids. now she pretends she can't see me 3. It's hot 4. our other neighbor, is probably the nicest guy ever. we've decided he's ex military from the proper way his flag hangs, and is uplit. he's SOO nice 5. It's hot 6. Gilbert has a very high population of Mormons 7. It's one of the fastest growing cities 8. it's hot 9. our neighbor behind us has a two story house, and i'm always worried that they will be looking out the window at the exact moment my tubetop swim suit falls down

I bought the Alphabet packs (2 of each letter) and then just cut them out, and laid a ruller across the shirt and arranged the letters. The packs were 9.99/pack for silver and 6.99 for pink. if you are going to buy them, you should go soon, they have coupons for 40% off craft items.

The whole time I was at the party all I could think about was you girls and how I might have a really bad story for you today, I'm so glad I didn't! OMG this cracked me up! Especially this line: I totally forgot until I saw all the cheese with grease piled up on it and thought about my butt! I'm so glad it all went well! Hmm jalepeno poppers. Geesh! So I went grocery shopping today. I am still having a hard time getting lower calories, with higher fat. I need to go browse online for more ideas. But what do you girls eat for breakfast? That is my hardest meal to hit the fat intake.
  24. i have not been to dreams cancun, but i did spend one awesome week at Moon Palace. We LOVED LOVED LOVED it. the rooms are all really nice, with a jacuzzi tub, 24 hour room service, inroom liquor dispensors, friendly staff, big pools, good booze included (ie shots of patron!) so i'd vote moon palace. You guests cannot be disapointed with that resort, it's awesome!
