Paying for Bridesmaids Trip
JaimeLynne replied to ypc09's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
This is what we are doing: Letting the girls buy their own dresses, and then whoever actually BOOKS a deposit we will pay for 1 night's hotel stay for them (or more if we can afford it - btw I'm only talking about the bridal party here which is 4 girls). There are however a few people who I really want there (including MOH) so if they couldn't go due to finances I would totally pay their way. Luckily we should have the money to do so. I really need my BFF there -

Did most of you create your own domain, or go through a wedding website to make your own website(like theknot.com)? That's the great thing about BDW! People are always on and very eager/willing to help out. We've got an amazing group of girls here We went through MyEvent.com ~ although I just found out that we could have had our own domain name through them (BTW they are offering this as a special right now so if you want a "unique" domain name then I'd jump on it!)

Excellent suggestions ladies I will try contacting them and explaining my situation. Unfortunately I just sealed the envelopes yesterday I do agree that a simpler address would be much easier for guests to remember in the long run and would love to have it that way! But if it is too much trouble or I just can't make it happen then I guess I will have to keep it as is... I'm totally kicking myself right now

Welcome to the forum Rebecca! That's a cute story We also got engaged in Mexico (Playa del Carmen) I'm getting married in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico next May at Las Caletas. Have fun browsing the forum - the "Search" tool at the top right of your screen is very handy and will greatly help us cut down on duplicate threads which will often get closed anyways.

We had all of our STDs printed up with www.MartinAndJaime.MyEvent.com on them. Well I'm going to order the full year package from My Event and they are having a special where they will give you a free unique domain name (so for example it could just be www.MartinandJaime.com instead of www.MartinAndJaime.MyEvent.com). What do I do?? I would love to have the unique domain name but all of our STDs are printed, stamped, stickered and ready to be sent. All we were waiting on was the website! Grrrr. We're sending out about 80 invites so it'd be difficult to contact every single person about the change. Advice...? What would you do?

My Mom went to a palm reader/psychic/whatever a long time ago and told me of her experience. They had never met, but she knew that she had 3 daughters, all with blond hair and green eyes (we all do which is weird considering we all have different dads with dark hair). She also read that her life line was short. Well, she passed away at the age of 52 so I'd say this lady was eerily on the money... I've always wanted to go to one of these places (even if just for fun!).

I've never heard of it...

I like this show too. Although I would tend to argue that she has 9 kids instead of 8 Did y'all see the episode where everyone got stomach viruses?? Holy moly! I totally respect the Mom on that show!

Great looking couple! I like those pics. Our Engagement photographer kept telling us to make out like he wasn't there and grab my butt. So unfortunately most of the pics we have our family can't or don't want to put up in their house (even though they are cool pics). I can't wait to get some with our full faces when we get our wedding photos done

OW, that sounds painful! Does it hurt? I would go to the doc just for some pain meds... but that's just me Also I wonder if you should even be walking on it at all? I know when I sprained my ankle they said to elevate it, ice it and take an anti-inflammatory (like Ibuprofen). I also had to use crutches for a few days. I really hope you get well so that you can do your walk next month!

If I would have seen stickers like that back then, I would have lost my mind (and all my allowance!). I would draw in the empty shapes of the outline with my own sticker designs. How silly are we as children!! The entire book was full of the most random stickers!! Oh yeah - well I was so hardcore that I wouldn't even take the stickers off their pages! I would keep them all in a box and if anyone touched one they were DEAD! LOL

Clarisonic Skin Care Brush & other product questions.

I've recently been searching for an all organic skin care line and have spoken with 3 estheticians from different companies. They are all against this brush. Here's what one had to say: Quote: Regarding the Clairisonic brush, I honestly don`t recommend it at this point as you suffer from cysts and pustules ( not even the sensitive brushes) .Once the skin improves, you can use it if you want but only once a week and not as frequently as they recommend and only if you are gentle with your skin. I personally don`t like this product as it actually scratches the skin and, at this moment, it would only spread your bacterial infection. Besides the aforementioned problems, the reason why myself and the other organic esthetician do not recommend these products is because we are not in favour of anything that could harm the skin. I know this is an expensive tool and I am not sure if you can return it. I think you would have benefited more from the Oxylight ( at home high frequency equipment) as this helps sterilize and reduce inflammation. I hope you can get a refund for the Clairisonic brush. I have read so many questionnaires from people getting treatment that is not indicated for them. I guess this most be due to misinformation. Soooo unfortunately it looks like I will need to return the brush I enjoyed it, but I don't think it will work well for acne. THey did say once the acne cleared up I could use it 1/wk but even then they don't really recommend it because it scratches the skin's surface (visible under a microscope).... -
Glad to hear you're "ok" Jac!!!
