Ok, thanks. Hmmm... I guess I will just discuss this with the seamstress when my dress comes in. I would love to have as little fabric as possible but definitely don't wanna lose the great shape of the dress.

I don't think you're crazy at all! I ordered my dress at the first shop I went to try on dresses (Lulu's). I was feeling the exact same way you were but I quickly got over it. I'm so happy with my choice, and am glad to have that decision over with!! I've made myself promise not to even look at other dresses because I can be very indecisive and wishy washy when it comes to big decisions like this. I say be happy, don't look at any other dresses and put a big red check mark next to "Dress"!

Mrs - Glenda because she has gone through a lot, persevered through it all and still manages to keep up with everyone on here in all of our craziness B2B - I'm gonna go with Andi because she is so upbeat and cheerful. She's also been really cute in reminding me how many months/days/minutes are left to go!

Help! I Need To Learn Spanish!!!!

I'm the kinda person that needs to be in front of the class to understand what's going on!!! I've definitely had a passion for the language. I can remember the first time I had lessons - in DAYCARE! haha It was love at first sight lol And yeah, about having a Spanish last name... when I get married I'm going to be "JAIME LOPEZ" OMG I refuse to go by that name living in a heavily populated spanish area. It's bad enough when Blockbuster, CVS, etc. call me and the recording goes "This message is for Hi-me Miller..." bwahahahahaha! Also, during prom season in HS I got all the tuxedo ads... sheesh! So now I've decided that I will start going by both my first and middle names "Jaime Lynne" when I take on the last name Lopez I mean, can you imagine being at the DMV or something and them calling "Jaime Lopez" what their reactions would be when a blond, fair skinned girl with FRECKLES and green eyes walks up to the counter?? LMAO -
Abbie, did your dress still look as full without the crinoline?? Also, what material was your dress made out of? Mine is some sort of taffeta-like material, and it has layers of crinoline (from what I remember) underneath. They suggested I wear Spanx and a slip underneath, but I'm thinking of foregoing the Spanx, because those things are uncomfortable in everyday life!

By all means do them if you want, but please don't stress over small stuff like that. Your day is not about these things it is about marrying the man of your dreams and having a good time with friends and family. Also don't forget about your future hubby. Spend time with him during this whole planning process. DH got super jealous that I spent more time on this site and was more focused on the wedding than him. LC is sooooo peaceful, ENJOY it! You deserve it, don't stress. I thought I would be a nervous wreck on my day. I took a two and half hour nap b/c the casita is that peaceful. You can hear the birds singing and the trees rattling outside. The breeze just flows in through the windows and it is just AMAZING. I have been to lots of places and have never been able to get this kind of feeling. This made my day that much better and allowed me to take everything in and REMEMBER it. I have a lot of friends getting married now and they all say it was the worse day of their life b/c it was sooo stressful and they couldn't enjoy themselves. I feel so bad for them b/c its not supposed to be that way. Trust me and everyone else who has said it on here. LC is BEAUTIFUL by itself without any added extras. Very well said. I need to keep this and make a giant post it note to remind myself of these things! LOL Quote: Originally Posted by SarahL Mel is 100% right on-the-money. Here was my day: 8:15 on the boat, 9:15 arrival at LC, 10:00 yoga, 11:00 massage, 11:30 beach time, 1:00 lunch, 2:00 champagne in the jacuzzi, and then I got ready... it was SO relaxing and SO "zen!" I was completely in my "happy place"... and when I walked down the aisle with my dad, toward my adorable hubby... it was perfect. Ahhhh, that sounds delish

I love #2 & #7 but I voted for #2 because I think it looks a little classier. However, I do like the added pink on the inside of #7. That pattern looks like my couch cushions - love the black & white flower look -

I took the quiz a long time ago (assuming it's the same one in the book, haven't checked this one out yet) and my top love language was Quality Time, followed by Receiving Gifts. Martin's top two were Physical Touch & Words of Affirmation. Receiving Gifts was at the very bottom of his list (score = 0) lol We are nearly opposites, so this has really been a great tool for our relationship. Now Martin picks up thoughtful little things for me when I'm feeling down or we have an argument. His last two presents were bath salts And now I know that picking up his favorite snack or treat isn't going to mean nearly as much as it would to me. I try and touch him more or say positive things about him when I think of it. I can tell he really responds to those things *Edit* K, I took the test. I'm not sure it's the exact same as in the book but it conveys the same point. Here are my results: 10 Quality Time 9 Receiving of Gifts 5 Acts of Service 3 Words of Affirmation 3 Physical Touch

OMG! I don't know how or why but all of a sudden I can see pics!!! I'd better hurry and go see those TTD teasers of Ana that everyone's been talking about STAT Something must've been up with our in house network, because pics were not working on either of our laptops or desktops. Certain sites (like Photobucket) wouldn't load either. WEIRD. -
Help! I Need To Learn Spanish!!!!

A class will help to get the basics down, but no matter what school you go to you will not learn the "everyday" Spanish IMO. I was a Spanish major and still get embarrassed when I go down to Mexico and realize the Spanish they teach us is completely outdated or very specific to a certain region. However, classes are a great foundation. I've heard Rosetta Stone is awesome. I want to get the advanced versions to help keep up my Spanish. Other than that, traveling and trying to truly immerse yourself in the language is your best bet. Since you have (soon to be) family in PR, that's awesome!! I never studied abroad which is why I ended up switching majors with only 3 classes to go until graduation!! I would love to go spend a couple months down in Mexico. When I get down there my brain switches after about a day (I get especially good after a margarita or two haha) and when I come back I find myself messing things up in English! lol I absolutely love the language and try and travel to Mexico every chance I get because every time I learn something new. Ok I think I may have ventured away from your original point... Quote: Originally Posted by cheese_diva Or you could let the machine pick up next time. j/k -

It's right on the beach, has killer margaritas and has won several "Best Of" awards in recent years, including best service. Daiquiri Dick's - About Us Barcelona Tapas had YUUUMMY food & sangria, but the patio did not seem like it would comfortably hold a "large" (20-30) group. Also the service was poor when we went... Or a place for LC brides to chat? Ooooh, I like those. I understand about keeping costs down but I am all about (within reason) feeling like a princess on my wedding day. Then again, it will probably be so freaking hot that like Jamy said I'll completely forget about those little details
