Being goofy: Rachelle & Martin: Hair Mishap (LOL): Ok, that's it from my end. As you can see we had a great time!!
  2. 2nd Round: Having some drinks with the boys at the restaurant... Tequila! Ready?? Down the hatch! Rachelle's Zoolander pose and my... I don't know what pose lol: Martin & Rachelle "Zoolander" style - Cheers!:
  3. K, here comes the parade of pics (and this is just from my camera )... (btw, Lisa & Rachelle if you want me to take any of these down just let me know ) 1st Round - At the Restaurant before Lisa left (i.e. before the trouble began ) Rachelle & Lisa @ the table: Lisa, Jaime, Rachelle (we call this one the "stair step" ): Another pic of the girls: Look at that cute baby bump Mrs. Lisa: Mrs. Rachelle: Martin, Jaime, Rachelle & David:
  4. **UPDATE** (And before you ask - YES we have pics! Uploading them right now...) So last night was great. It was just Lisa, Rachelle and me and it was nice getting to talk to them/meet them in person. It was funny because I walked in and immediately recognized Lisa, then she said that I looked exactly like she imagined. When Rachelle walked in she looked exactly like I imagined. So I guess we're all pretty true to our pics Btw, they are both beautiful ladies so don't let them tell you otherwise! And Lisa makes such a cute prego woman - all belly and boobs! We ate at Mattito's on the patio and chit-chatted over dinner and drinks (it was kind of funny cause Lisa got asked about 4 or 5 times if she wanted a "real" drink and she kept having to deny). The food was yummy and the girls were really nice and down to earth. Later my fiance, Rachelle's DH and 2 of his friends came to join us for drinks at the bar. Go Phelps! Then we went to Idle Rich Pub cause Rachelle's DH's friends wanted some eye candy lol I think that's where things went downhill for me - too many drinks! (Well only like 5 over the whole night but 2 were shots and I am just not used to drinking like that anymore! lol) They were all so much fun to hang out with and we had a blast. I'm soooo hungover but it was worth it

I'm in love with this resort So bummed that you dropped your camera and couldn't get pics! (sorry about your camera tho!) I would love to see pics of the whole Honeymoon Spa Suite. I think that's the room category we would go with Course, now I'm bugging you in 2 places - email and BDW. LOL sorry!! I'm just so excited (is it bad that I'm more excited about this than my wedding?!?) LMAO

If intimacy and charm is what you are looking for this is defiantly the resort. RP is really first class. It might be a little pricer than other resorts in Ocho Rios, but it is well worth it in the end. The on site wedding coordinator is a dream. I could go on and on. I'm working on a detailed review with pictures and should have it up soon. I'll send you a PM with the link to the thread. Karma, I will TOTALLY be on the lookout for this thread!! I am literally drooling over this resort for our HM. Sooooo amazing. With the Fly Free Promotion/33% discount we can actually afford to stay there 1 week after our wedding in Puerto Vallarta, MX. Waiting for TA Jennifer to get back to me on specific rates but OMG this looks like THE ONE!!!!! Only thing... I don't think I'll ever want to come home. They might have to drag me away kicking and screaming! LOL
  7. lol Tammy - you ruined it for me! haha I voted for #1 though - I agree that it helps tie everything together
  8. Ok, I've been off my Spanish for awhile but I think... (Btw, I think that list is great but might be very overwhelming for your guests who don't speak a word of Spanish! LOL) el bolso = la bolsa (bag/purse) I don't think you need to use "un" in front of "poco" ~ Hablo poco (o pequito) espanol. (I know, I'm not using the tilde - I'm being lazy ) That's just a couple things I noticed scanning over it... like I said you have quite a bit on there! lol! Remember, tourism is their big money maker so almost everyone (except the maids or people lower on the totem pole) most likely are bi or even tri-lingual. Especially in Cancun. We have quite a few native speakers on here so I'll let them take it from here...
  9. FI is turning out to be very traditional about these kindsa things which I find both cute and funny. So we will be sleeping in separate rooms the night before. I will be staying in our room (will probably grab a BM to come stay with me) and he will find someone else to bunk with for the night... not exactly sure how this is gonna work out but we'll make it happen - even if we need to get an extra room for 1 night
  10. Oh hey and what are y'all wearing? I was thinking either a cute little summer dress or jeans and a nice shirt.. or maybe a skirt. lol kinda a mix between dressy and casual... kwim?

  12. I agree that you can keep checking with the bridal salons as your wedding gets closer. Also you have sooo much time that curiosity will probably get the best of you and you'll end up loving other dresses too! It is a cool dress tho - I like the design on the orange part

They are worriers (esp my G-ma) and say that my family is prone to sea-sickness (never knew this!?) but they will be there no matter what Quote: Originally Posted by LC_Rachel I didn't find this out until a few days after the wedding when he kinda grumbled. lol sorry but this totally reminds me of my Grandpa - he loves to "grumble". Everytime we go out to eat he orders EXTRA lemons (I think you could bring him 20 and he'd be happy) with his iced tea and if he doesn't get them he totally grumbles and as we say he "gets his feathers ruffled" LOL gotta love 'em
  14. Happy, happy birthday dear Abbie! (lol @ Dear Abbie *chuckle* )

We went with the regular box spring and you're right it's REALLY high. I think the top is above my waist but I like the effect it brings to our room. We also got the feather topper thingy, this combo is a gem! I owe it to Alyssa and Glenda for convincing me to get it. Worth every penny! FI really does not want another pillow top since that's what we currently have and it completely sags (it's about 5 years old). He likes a firmer bed. Is the plush still comfy?? We were also looking into the Sleep number beds but this one is less $$ with the discount... Also, we want to upgrade from a Queen to a King! YEAH!!! Alyssa ~ THanks for the tip on the feathertop. Jenn ~ Thanks for posting this!! P.S. - Mel, anyway you could post a pic of what yours looks like so we can get a visual idea of how high the "regular" box spring is??
  16. I've heard it's good to have a game plan (like who are you going to bring them, marketing wise) and just sell yourself. I'll also be watching this thread as I hope to be in a similar position soon! Good luck Lucy!
  17. If my boobs could hold it up I might be interested lol jk It looks like a great dress and a good deal!

And Jaime - I've always love their rita's.....humm...the blues ones - right? As for the Bishop Art district - I've been there once and really liked it. We went to Cafe Madrid a few months ago. It was so yummy! I think it would be fun to keep it "girls only" until the end of the night - what do y'all think? Rachelle? Also, about the 'ritas - I've only had their house ones (not too fond of that blue liquor - whatever it's called). Maybe I'll try a different one this time Bishop Arts has really picked up the past few years (I've lived here since I was 12 and thus have really seen it grow!). My fav Mexican restaurant over here is called Veracruz - authentic Mexican food from Veracruz Mexico. Also they have awesome house margaritas. We also have the original Gloria's over here and we usually eat there once a week, it's like our kitchen away from home Plus you can't beat M-Th all day drink specials ($3 ritas, beer, mojitos, wine)! I could go on and on about the area but I will stop there
  20. OOOOOhhhhh Martin and I have always wanted to do this every time it pops up on here!!! Our current bed is killing us (we wake up so miserable). Mayyyybbeeee we can squeeze it in the budget this time?? Oh my gosh that would kick some serious boo-tay!
  21. LOL at your DHs responses! I talk to Martin about BDW every single day so he knows y'alls names by now I'm sure and feels totally OK with me going. Rach & Lisa - what do you think about me and Rach inviting D & M to join us for a drink at the end if they'd like? Martin said he would like to since he has to drive me all around LOL plus I'm sure he'd like to meet who I keep talking about... Just for a drink at the very end tho - if that's cool with y'all! I'm sooooo excited girls!!!! I'm always up for Mexican! Mattitos is a fun place - cool atmosphere. Margaritas just so-so (although this is probably a good thing for Lisa LOL). Mi Cocina is cool too but their Mambo Taxis get me in trouble... haha I'd say we skip Manny's since Lisa says it's just ok. No "just ok" for us, ladies! Primos has the BEST spinach queso and great margs but the food is just so so IMO and they'd probably be crowded as he!!. The only other place I can really think of is Gloria's but that's over on Greenville - probably further than we were thinking! Sometime if y'all are ever brave enough to venture out to Bishop Arts they have some AWESOME places (North Oak Cliff). I live about 5 mins from there. But this time I think we should definitely stick to somewhere off of McKinney so it's easy for everyone to find and feels comfortable for everyone.
  22. LOL Lisa!! Might I remind you that you and I would have been even if we had kept the original date this time! haha I hate to ask this, but remind me who are the other two girls in the pic?? Are they still around?
