  1. I'm so sorry It is a long way away so maybe there's hope.. that's all I can think of to say. I would say maybe switching the weekend might help (when kids are out of school) but it sounds like those same ppl would just come up with more excuses... I'm sorry, that is so disappointing
  2. OMG WTF Are you kidding?!? I've never heard of that before. I mean, I know a doctor can refuse service but geez...

  4. Btw, does anyone know how many Jr. Suites they have available? On the image above that Christina shared it says 10 but I think I remember reading like 20-something on the website, some of them being connecting rooms... Just wondering, cause I think we want to do one and possibly some of our guests but since it's such a busy holiday weekend I need to know if I should push those who might be interested a little harder!

Last time we were there the bartender (a new guy) overheard us saying that we met there and he was like "Alright, story up now!" so we told him the story and he gave us a 10% discount on our whole bill
  6. 3 years ago on August 19th Martin and I met at a local bar in town. We plan on celebrating this evening at a nice Italian restaurant in Dallas (Avanti). Looking forward to it! Here's our story taken from our website: Martin and Jaime grew up just down the street from each other in Kessler Park. We attended the same Highschool (Townview Magnet Center) and College (University of Texas at Arlington) but never knew each other until one fateful day... Martin's Perspective: Well it was just a normal night and I was out with Jon (my older brother) at Lee Harvey's. I first noticed Jaime when she stepped out to cross the street when the street light made her just glow and from then on I was struck! I watched her walk with her friends into the outdoor area of the bar. I had to look away because I was so enamored with the sight of her I couldn't imagine if she had caught me looking at her. Well right after I turned to join in the conversation around me, she ended up RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! I was completely caught off guard. After a night of reminiscing of our High School days the night unfortunately came to an end. We parted ways that night with a half-hug and me telling Jaime to find me on Myspace. To my COMPLETE surprise, when I got home...I had an email from Jaime! I was truely struck by cupid's arrow that evening. We were friends for a few months - meeting up for lunch at UTA...both of us too shy to even look at the other and end up talking about the most insignificant things just to make conversation. After spending the time to get to know her for who she really was I finally gathered up the nerve to ask her out on our first date and we've been together ever since. Our relationship was built on a sturdy foundation of friendship and I hope to continue that for the rest of our lives. Jaime's Perspective: I was supposed to go out to dinner with some friends that night. Thanks to one friend who is notoriously late (sorry Jen! =P) we missed our reservations for the local restaurant and had to reschedule at another one further in town. Chris Friday was amongst the diners that evening, and invited us all out to Lee Harvey's to join some of his friends for a drink. Jennifer and I decided to go along. As we walked up to Chris' friends table, I noticed a guy from my highschool, so I went up to him and said "Hey, I think I know you...". He didn't say much so I figured he was kind of snooty and just not interested (little did I know...). Luckily, his older brother Jon jumped in and said "Y'all went to the same highschool - Townview". I had met Jon about a year earlier but had forgotten his face so I was thinking "who is this guy and how does he know that? But hey, this guy from my highschool is pretty cute so I'll just go with it!". Martin and I spent about 3 hours talking that night. I don't think I even finished my drink. It seemed like a scene straight out of a movie - everyone else in the crowd disappeared and all I could think of was him! We had so much in common, and really hit it off, to say the least. Eventually one of my friends jumped in and I realized how much time had flown by and that we needed to get home. So, we gave each other a quick "half-hug" and left saying that we would find each other on Myspace. I couldn't stop talking about him on the ride home, and once home immediately jumped on the computer to look him up. The rest, as they say, is history... I don't think either of us had planned to meet the love of our life that night, but Cupid played his hand well and fate helped us along. We started out as friends for about 3 months which neither of us had done before. This allowed us to form a solid foundation before he asked me out on our first date. After that, things just took off for us! I am proud to say we are still the best of friends, and hope to carry that friendship with us through the rest of our lives.

  10. Martha - they look GREAT!! You look great too - sooo cute!!!! Thanks for sharing!
  11. I agree - just send the announcement. We started going through the list that FMIL sent us and realized FI didn't even recognize about 10 of the couples on there so we OKed it with her and are just going to send them announcements after the wedding.

It's so funny - you guys both look like you're about to crack up. Then there's a more normal pic of you two after that one...I'll seriously have to upload those tonight! haha, that's why I didn't post it in the first place. I tried to only post the flattering (or at least semi-flattering) pics! If you want me to take it down just let me know k? P.S. I'm kind of scared to see that pic you're talking about Quote: Originally Posted by KarmaB Ahhh...I'm so sad that I missed this. It was DSS B-Day party this weekend. 15. To everyone - glad we got to share all those pics with you! I highly recommend doing the meetup thing ~ I was super nervous at first but then (obviously, per the pics ~ LOL) nerves went out the window a little later... Rach (:-) - I mean Rachelle and Jaime are just adorable. The minute Jaime walked in the door I was like, oh Jaime and gave her a big hug. I would have recognized her anywhere. And the same with Rachelle.....just adorable ladies. It was so good to meet your men too. Martin is such a cutie and was such a good sport taking pics for us (1..2..7!). Too funny!! And Rachelle - David was so handsome! o.k., I can't believe I missed all the fun I wish I was not fat and pregnant. I would have joined you guys in a heartbeat. I made it home and was asleep in like 5 minutes. Aww, I wish you could have come out too Lisa!!! I'm so glad I got to see your prego belly tho Now I can't wait to see LUKE!!! I'll admit you did miss out on some fun, but you did NOT miss out on the day after shenanigans... LOL I passed out and woke up about 6am HURTING! OUCH! Quote: Originally Posted by Rachelle E. Lol! (well, I'm better today, but yesterday was ROUGH!) Ugh! That massive shot at Mattito's was probably enough but then Shane and I heard a couple people order Irish Car Bombs at Idle Rich and they sounded SO good we just had to get one. I think that's what did me in...those things are crazy. yeah, I'm definitely too old for that stuff. I just dont' bounce back like I used to. Damn you're fast Jaime!! lol! I only have like 8 pics on my camera but haven't uploaded them yet. There's a pretty funny one of you and Martin kinda fake making out at Idle Rich...I barely remember even taking it! lol! But it's funny. I'll try to get them off the camera tonight or tomorrow. :-) I had SO much fun meeting these girls!!!! Lisa seriously is freaking adorable and was such a good sport letting me rub all over her little belly trying to mooch some baby vibes! ;-) I totally wish you could have stayed longer Lisa, it would have been fun to hang out more...we'll have to have a re-do once you can have some drinks again! Thanks! And I agree that Martin IS a cutie too!! He was so nice and just so great and chill about everything....being randomly "forced" to hang out w/ a bunch of guys etc. And yeah, the "1, 2...7!" thing was funny!! I feel like there's 20 more things I want to say or comment on but I'm sooooo sleepy today and trying to get settled in/caught up at work. Thanks for getting those pics up Jaime!!! Hugs to both you girls...I had a blast with you!! ETA: hahah! Remembered a couple of my comments I wanted to make. :-) 1) I am not acutally a foot taller than Lisa and Jaime...they were in flats and I was in wedges. Not sure why that's a big deal to me...I just felt enormous next to them I guess! lol! 2) L O freaking L at the "hair mishap" pic!!! I totally remember Martin's face after he took that, just cracking up at how goofy we looked. So fun! Ok, I'm gonna go with the numbering system comments now too haha: 1) I agree - both our men are cuties! 2) Glad you guys liked Idle Rich. It was actually Martin's first time there too. I've only been once before. Kinda fun for a group of friends or singles but def not a couples hangout - KWIM? Martin got swarmed with ladies hitting on him to the bathroom and back (as he says, it's one of those places where all you have to do is walk in and look like you have money and you can "take something home" - but hey, that's (uptown) Dallas for ya! ) 3) OMFG the hair incident was cracking me up too! I have 3 or 4 pics of different poses with it but I think that was my favorite. 4) Forgot about "1,2...7!" lol, will have to tell Martin that you enjoyed his jokes (he'll eat that up ) 5) What making out pose.. LOL I sooo don't remember that either. 6) Uhhhmm k I think that's all for now...

Champagne and chilled towels upon check-in 3. Unlimited room service anytime (NO extra fees) 4. Mango-mimosa's served on the beach every morning as well as fresh fruit served at your beach chair 5. You never lift a finger to move beach chairs, get towels, put up umbrellas, get a drink, you have a beach butler that you just wave a flag to and he comes right over. 6. 4 star quality dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus access to any of the sandals or beaches restaurants I could go on and on and on. I took tons of pictures of the resort as well so I will add those in the review. My only regret about the trip was that I was pregnant for it and couldn't enjoy the yummy cocktails/wine they offered! LOL, we will probably be going back for sure after Hannah is born. Love it! I really can't wait to see your pics Which room category did y'all stay in? We want the HM w/spa suite. It looks sooooo lavish! I've been stalking Trip Advisor trying to read as many reviews and tips as I can ever since I found this place (I'm a research-aholic lol)
