  1. So does all of this apply to acryllic nails? I don't even know if the salons around here offer gel... I did't know there was a difference.
  2. I just figured out that I really only have room for about one sentence, so I am going to have to make a general statement referring to all our past loved ones... any help? I read Shelley's thread, and those were great poems, I just don't have room for them.
  3. I am looking for suggestions on how to word a memorial to include on our program fans. I am not sure if we should generalize it and say "grandparents" or list their names, or just to say "those who are no longer with us". Both Trace's and my grandparents have all passed away. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  4. Sorry, I spelled that wrong. They are Caparros Here are the shoes they got: Your insider’s guide to casual shoes, dress shoes, boots and more for women, men and kids. | piperlime They are super cute shoes!
  5. Thanks Tami... I just wanted to let you know that my bridesmaids are all wearing Camparros, and the sizes run small... they all had to order at least 1/2 size larger than normal. They are a different style though, so that might matter.
  6. I used them, and I know a couple of other girls did as well. I loved my magnets, and they were a hit with out guests as well!
  7. It looks great Bre, too bad I already sent mine, because I would have used yours!!
  8. Saugus Special Occasion Shoes ~ Bridal, Prom & Evening Collection These are my wedge heels. I love them and they sparkle so much! I paid $110.00 for them, but plan on trying to sell them after the wedding... Maybe for $50.00? Anyone interested? Mine are a size 10, but I usually wear a 9 or 91/2... depending on the shoe. I know it was a lot to spend on a pair of shoes, but they are gorgeous!
  9. I am wearing wedge heels for the ceremony in the sand, and then the original heels I bought for my dress the rest of the day. I had bought flip flops, but when I tried them on with my dress, it just didn't look right... and when I walk you can see my shoes. Also, I can't really go barefoot since I had my dress altered to a 3" heel. I think I would trip on it without shoes on.
  10. Thanks meandpaul.... What I am looking for is a single sheet that will fit on a raffia fan. I know I saw some on here, but can not find them!
  11. I am looking for a template to make my program for the ceremony. I did a search, and did not find the actual wording, just templates to make the fans or tags. Anybody have a word file of what they used on their programs? Something simple- we are doing a symbollic ceremony with a small wedding party. Thanks!
  12. Otherwise all the options are on the website... I am always too anxious to wait for an email responce, so I just go to the website.
  13. Name: Shea Wedding date: January 19 2008 Time: 4:00pm Location: Building 55 Gazebo Cocktail reception: Mexican, at the covered pool Dinner/Reception: El Cocotal or Las Fuentes... I can't remember what i picked! Time: 6:30 Number of guests:40
  14. Well, I think I am going to buy it, so if anyone would be interested, I would be willing to sell it after the wedding for a small portion of the price... maybe $45.00?
  15. I ended up getting my dress from the Wedding Shoppe in St. Paul. I love my dress, and they were really helpful. I must say though that we got our bridesmaid dresses there as well. After all 4 went for their fitting, I went back to pay (It is about 50 minute drive) and they lost our order sheet! I was really ticked off... they ended up finding it a couple of days later and claim it was mis-filed. Regardless, it shouldn't have happened and it was stressful. One good thing with this place is if you do cash and carry, they give you 20% off.
  16. I will be honest, I think I am insane for even considering it, but I can not find anything that is similar that I like.
  17. Hand-made Ivory Beaded Lily am I out of my mind for considering buying this? I really like it and have not found anything similar that I like. Any suggestions?
  18. Thread hi-jack..... I was wondering if anyone has done a site visit to EDR, and if so, did your cell phone work?
  19. I like to go on TripAdvisor, and it will compare the prices between sites like cheaptickets.com, hotwire, expedia, travelocity and orbitz.

So talked to my FI and he said he would be more upset knowing I was unhappy about my dress and had a bad memory about our wedding than if I spent more money. Awwwh! So I am returning dress nummber 1 and I went out ALONE today and had a great time trying on dresses. I went to a wonderful place and got great help. Turns out the dress I wanted was discontinued so I can't show you a picture other than the one of the sign I took from the shop. They said since they were discontinuing the dress I could have the sign--tee hee. I now have an 18x20 of some skinny chick in my dress. I LOVE my dress and am very happy. The lace goes around to the back and covers the back. That mean no bra for me. It is ivory and shows off my shoulders Won't have it until February so you HAVE to wait for photos. steph, where did you get it? and the first one where they let you return it?
  22. We are also bringing an emergency kit for our guests, and we eill let them know it is available in their welcome letters. Things we are going to include: First aid kit Neosporin Blister Bandages (from walking too much) Sewing kit Safety pins Lint roller Bobby pins Static guard super/nail glue I can't hink of what else we have right now... This way we don't have to get each individual person these specific things that all of them won't need... It will be like those baskets in the restrooms at local weddings.
  23. Thanks, I kept sending them today, and they were returned up until about 3:00 one went thru. She did respond to me too! No need to worry...

You can also carry a copy with you or scan the documents and email them to yourself. Having a copy will make it easier to get a replacement if necessary. Leave the phone numbers & last 4 digits for your credit cards with someone so they can cancel them if they are lost or stolen. Call your credit card companies and inform them you will be in Mexico so they do not freeze your account due to suspicious activity. Inform your bank you will be in Mexico, if you plan on using your ATM card. You can ask them to temporarily raise the max on how much you can withdraw per day. These are great too... One thing I am doing is with the information letter I am sending out before the trip, I am including a "contact card" with all of the resorts information, manager, phone numbers, travel agent and flight info., and applying a magnet to it to give to babysitters, house sitters, friends/relatives, grandparents etc..
