  1. I had a fun TTD session at the beach in Charleston last weekend. My (former) clients did it for their two year anniversary. It was lots of fun. I was already booked with two weddings that weekend, so we could only do it at a horrible time of day for lighting, but I think they still turned out nice. More on the blog... Where is there an Army post in Belize? My husband does a lot of work for the Army and I would LOVE for him to try to get stationed there for a while!

I am finding that I trust visitors who have been (they post pics too!) far more than the resort websites themselves. So, back to square one!... In my opinion, Victoria House is the absolute best place to have a wedding on Ambergris. It is a great location - it is on the south end, but not right in the middle of "town." Being on the south end (vs. being on the north end) means that you don't have to take a boat to get into town when you want to go. Victoria House also has the prettiest beachfront in my opinion. I returned from my 2nd wedding at Victoria House if you want to see the slideshow on my blog. The people there are awesome to work with as well.
  5. I got my most recent tickets to Belize on travelocity and got a really good deal. Unfortunately, airline tickets are really high right now. Houston and Miama are the cheapest places to depart from so I would check to see what carrier in your area has a hub there. American Airlines is usually cheapest. But...Delta has a great direct flight out of Atlanta that is sometimes priced really well.
  6. Hi, I just sent you an email - let me know if you don't get it.
  7. Awesome Tami - I'm so glad to hear that everything went well - I've been dying to hear about it and see your pics!

  9. Argentina sounds AWESOME - I bet your wedding is going to be fabulous. I have never been there before so I don't have any images to share, but I bet you are going to have a blast!
  10. Okay...I have photographed weddings in Cancun and Playa del Carmen and I have another wedding coming up in July. I need to book my lodging. I would like to stay somewhere that I haven't stayed just to see something different. We would prefer an adults only location. Any suggestions? We are willing to stay anywhere from Cancun to Playa del Carmen. We are not partiers...more interested in a really nice place with great food.
  11. A lot of couples are announced in - have their first dance - cut the cake - and then sit down to dinner. In my opinion, it really makes the night flow a lot better and seems to keep the fun going. Otherwise - the night can get broken up into chopped up segments.
  12. Hey, I love Leigh's work! Your blog looks great - I bet your wedding is going to be fabulous. Savannah is awesome - you should check out the Mansion. It rocks!
  13. I'm no photoshop expert (as you can see!), but here is my lame attempt...
  14. Riviera Maya is awesome and someone mentioned Moon Palace - Moon Palace is fun! How exciting!
  15. They did a fabulous job when I was there - the bride's hair was beautiful. I can't remember the stylist's name, but it was a man. Email me if you want me to find out his name - I can contact the bride.
  16. Hey, One of my favorite weddings ever was a two person wedding in Belize. They were so relaxed and had such a fabulous day. They spent the morning out on a half day snorkeling trip - came back - got ready - had a beautiful ceremony followed by a candle light dinner for two out on the beach. It was so intimate and special. So so sweet. Go for it - I think you will have a blast. The options are endless and you can go to some off the beaten path places that don't work for those with guests...I'm thinking...Belize, Jost Van Dyke, ahhhh....Jost Van Dyke would be incredible!
  17. Hey girl! I can't believe your wedding date is soooo close! I'll be on the lookout for pics - I know they are going to be awesome! Best wishes!
  18. Hi, For that price, I think you could definitely find someone great. I think it is reasonable to ask for complete day of coverage, and trash the dress session, and a disk of images. Coverage the day before might be asking for a little bit too much. Could you use photos from friends for the day before?
  19. I photographed a wedding at Caneel Bay in January, and it was so beautiful.
  20. What about favors? Do you need her to pick up anything for OOT bags?
  21. If those links don't give you what you need to know - feel free to email me. I'm a couple of hours away from there so I don't know - but my cousin was married there a few months ago. I missed the wedding b/c I was working, but I can email and ask him.
  22. Orchids? Omygosh - that will cost about 5 million dollars won't it? Okay - so I don't have what you are talking about but I do have a suggestion. I have photographed lots of weddings with the aisle covered in rose petals. But...by the time the bride comes down the aisle, the petals have been trampled by all of the guests and they are not looking so great. So...I don't know if it's really possible to do so or if it would be tacky - but it would be great if the flowers/petals could be scattered just before the bride walks down.
  23. I don't know how to do it with publisher either - but if you need help in photoshop or working with a jpg - let me know. Sorry - wish I could help.
