  1. Trisha, I am glad you came to the decision that is best for both of you. Let us know if you need anything at all, we are all here for you.
  2. It was very windy where I got married (on the beach) and my veil was blowing around. It looks awesome in some pics and it bugged me a little bit, but not enough for me to wish I did not wear my beautiful veil. So, I think you should go for it, it would not be that bad even if it did blow around.
  3. Be forwarned about the beach set up though, it looks great in the pics, but unless they moved it from where it used to be, its not as private as it looks at all. So, ask about that before you choose the beach. With the gazebo, the thing we did not like about it is you come from the lobby to walk down the asile. Its not private at all there are lots of gawkers around, especially at night time because the theatre is right there to the left off of the lobby. So, be warned about that as well. The last set up for the dinner is on the Himatsu (Asian rest) patio. It is also beautiful and more private, especially at night. And the food is awesome, so that is another good option. I really did love the patio at the mexican place though, we saw it set up for a wedding as well and it was beautiful. So both choices are good ones.
  4. Wow, that was so cruel. lol I totally need to know more.
  5. I think you should do both things, have Tammy say that they are not on the list and they need to call you, AND, put on your site that you sent out your save the dates. This way most people will get the hint. Do not put the travel info on your site though, just direct them to contact Tammy, or you might have people arranging travel and stay with other TA's

    I am new

This is the thread I posted in. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...183#post205888
  7. I just realised I don't have that many pics from the wedding. The couple did not hire a photographer and just relied on friends to take the pics. Please do not do that. Also, if you are having your ceremony on the beach, ask them to move it elsewhere (although I bet now that its dreams it will be in a better spot). You can see in the pics that there are people walking around behind us and you can see beach chairs in the pics, not cool. We were kinda right in the middle of the beach. The mexican patio would be a great place for your reception dinner and dancing, it was really beautiful. You will see some pics here, they used it for cocktails. Pic of wedding on the beach set up Pics of the mexican resturant patio, it really is stunning. Also, the spa was pretty great and we were all happy with our hair. If you have any questions ask away and I will do my best to answer them.

I will find some pics to post here as well.

    I am new

Hi Tammy to the forum. I was a BM at a wedding at STB in April 2006. I will be posting some pics and my review from Trip advisor in another thread hopefully tonight. So I will let you know what the post is called as soon as I get a chance to get it done.
  11. Those look amazing. Great job. I love them and your guests are going to love them as well.
  12. I love this dress, great choice. When it comes to hemming the lace, mine did cost a lot to get hemmed, I am 5' 1.5" so I also need a lot taken off. I also cut out the material at the back (the satin) and just had the lace layer as my train and I loved it, just a thought. So, be prepared for it to be a bit expensive. 1 thing, I would say do not get it done at the bridal shop, they charge waaaay too much to do it there. Find a seamstress who has done bridal gowns before and she will charge you a lot less. That is what I did and it cost me $225 instead of $500
  13. One of us would be more than happy to help you post or post them for you, we all need to see them, so let us know what you need help with.
  14. Congratulations Kate, I can't wait to hear all about it and see some pics. I am so excited for you. Yay!!! I know its going to be perfect.
  15. Lizz, they look great. Angela inspired me and I inspired you, I love the way things work around here and how we all help each other out. Great job.
  16. I do not remember if I posted or not, but I did get an Amazon gift card email a little while back and the message said that I would be receiving another gift and would know who my secret santa is at that time, so maybe Kate you are my SS.
