  1. I would say a book by Scott Kelby would help you out. Scott is a renown photoshop guru. But Like Jay said if they are jpgs they will have very limited exposure latitude. hope that helps, ~ nic
  2. why do people love to drive into each other in Cali when it rains ? If you can figure it out and write a book you would make some serious lute. You would never work another day in your life.

  4. Well then according to Jill at some points during a wedding I am a photojournalist and at other points I'm a lifestyle photographer... I think when you "re-position people or things" then its not their life you are documenting... its not how they would have seen it, done it or placed things, or interacted in that situation, its your feeling or impression of the client you are tying to record. You have successfully altered the client or their surroundings. But like I said "You ask 10 photographers that question and you will probably get 10 different answers"
  5. nope, in my estimation there is no difference... You ask 10 photographers that question and you will probably get 10 different answers.. just different catch phrases.. like when it comes to weddings, sure Im going to use the word photojournalism, photojournalistic, etc... when Im talking about a family or a children shoot... I wouldn't use the word photojournalism... to me it sounds better if I talk about a "family lifestyle" type of shoot.. just my .02

  13. Congrats on getting your condo! I've spent 8 weeks on that Island and my wife and I were just in Waikiki in Sept. for a week. Oahu is a super fun Island and had plenty of fun things do to. here is my must do list every time I go to Oahu • go to the Westin Surfrider hotel and have a guy tai - the best Mai Tai on the Island • go to the North Shore via the likelike hwy. On the way you will see the shrimp shacks... we like Romy's. There a few photos on my blog from that trip. • Stop off at the Dole pineapple plantation while your on that trip. • walk down Ala Moana in the evening. Lots of things and people (street performers) to watch. • if you drive south, you can see a giant blow hole and a beach called Sandy's. The waves break right on the sand. When it gets big ambulances stand by. hope that gets you started! nic
