Welcome! Let us know how we can help with the wedding planning.
-
I was just looking at pics of the Cove Atlantis. Ooh I am so jealous right now. i think the Atlantis has a spa that can do your hair and make up. Plus I'm sure the wedding coordinator can recommend a photog and get you the flowers and decor that you like.

Cabo Del Sol Country Club INFO
Nrvsbride replied to TammyWright's topic in Cabo Accommodation & Site
Wow I never saw this thread before. This place sounds fabulous. I never even heard of it. Can you stay there as well or is it only a country club? -
I just wanted to inform everyone (including Anny) that it is 3:55 eastern time and I am drinking champagne just to toast her wedding. I made my FI toast with me and he looked at me like I was crazy. First I told him about Nicole's wedding and how she had so many problems and then I told him we had to celebrate Anny's Big Fat Mexican Wedding. He thinks I am absolutely insane and I think he may take the ring back. LOL.

Kashmira's Hilton Wedding review 6/16
Nrvsbride replied to gkashmira's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Kash thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that everything did not go smoothly behind the scenes, but I am glad that you were still able to enjoy it. And on the positive side you are married to the love of your life and having a wonderful honeymoon...so that is the greatest most amazing thing ever. Its such a shame that weddings have to be so stressful with the money situation and everything else that goes along behind the scenes. I'm sure your guests had a wonderful time though. -
Mayan Palace Brides- Post Here!
Nrvsbride replied to amyh's topic in Puerto Vallarta Accommodations & Site
This may sound like a stupid question but is the jetty the little runway looking thing where the brides get married? If so, then I would do rose petals and maybe candles or those candles in the paper bags with your logo. That would look really nice. Or you could do a canopy with flowers (not sure you'd want to waste the money on this though since you are getting married in the church) or an arch of flowers. -
Janet how did the house hunting go? First off ladies, thank you so much for all the advice and input. I'm still confused and I admit that it sounds like a whole other language to me. But hopefully with due time I will pick things up here and there. As far as my co-op shopping it did not go well at all. The places were perfectly nice and they were actually reasonably priced but the co-op board requires that we each make $100,000 (neither of us do), have excellent credit (I do, FI doesn't) and we have to put down 20%. Yeah that's like $85,000 to $100,000 down. No way Jose. So I have officially given up on the real estate market. I think I am just going to have to suck it up and rent. Uggh! How is everyone else's house hunting going?

Congratulations ladies! And to all the other girls that were nominated and didn't get it, we all still love you! YAY TAMMY AND TARA!!! I heart you girls.

FI ring - panic attack
Nrvsbride replied to -Kate-'s topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Poor Brett! It really is awful to get claustrophobic like that. I hope he will feel more comfortable in his new ring. Don't worry he will get used to it, it just takes time. -
Thanks Janet. Actually I had my cousin the loan officer check my credit score and he said it was excellent but unfortunately my FI's is very low. Now I'm thinking we wouldn't get approved by a co-op board. Uggh how stressful! Sorry Janet I didn't meant to highjack your mortgage fee thread.
-
I also read the real estate section of the NY Times, but honestly it seems like there is a plethora of information out there and it is impossible to keep up. Not only is there mortgage stuff to learn but co-op and condo rules as well. For instance we are going to look at co-ops tomorrow and I am wondering if all co-ops require 20% down. I know most do. If this is the case there is no way I could buy one. I would need $80,000 to $100,000 just to put a down payment. No way! Okay I am officially stressed.
-
OMGoodness I totally missed this!!! Arg I am getting annoyed at missing important threads!! Sorry Lisa but HAPPY BELATED and I hope you had a wonderful birthday!
-
Jaime I agree I also think that they do more to girls. LOL. I don't even want to know what else she would have done to me if I let her. ~Michelle you are so right, they do much different things if you bring them to your house. Well actually that's not fair to say, not all strippers are the same but some are willing to do a little more if you pay them the right amount. I guess your right its all in good fun. But if my FI wants to have fun he can invite his friends over for Scrabble b/c I'm going to kill him if I find out shady things went down.

How much is a typical dinner plate at The Office?
Nrvsbride replied to DreaW's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Sorry I can't help, I've never been to cabo. -
Ahhhh this all sounds like ancient egyptian to me. I don't understand it! And I really do need to understand it b/c my FI and I are going to look at apartments tomorrow. My cousin is a loan officer so I plan to get my mortgage through him but I swear I don't understand how any of this works. What the in the world are points? And what is orgination? Jeez it took me long enough to understand PMI's. LOL. Oh brother I am clueless on this stuff. ~Janet best of luck with the house hunt, I feel your pain everything is so expensive!
-
Kelly I'm sorry this is so late but I am seeing this post for the first time now. Why can't you ship everything down? Would that be crazy expensive? Did you ask any family members if they have space? Also, I can't remember who but I think someone on this forum said that they gave their OOT bags at the barbecue prior to leaving no? Hmm let me see if I can remember who this was.
-
Awww Kelly and Drea thank you for understanding...I heart you guys.

Jason & Karen are off to get married!!!
Nrvsbride replied to Karen's topic in CONGRATS & Shout outs!!
YAY Karen and Jason I am so excited for you guys. I know you are going to have an amazing, romantic celebration. Best of luck with everything, enjoy and bring back lots of pics! -
Kelly I am terribly sorry if I offended you or anyone else and I hope you know that I would never mean to offend anyone. I 100% agree that children and pets are different and I don't have any children so I can't even begin to imagine the pain one feels from losing a child. I can however honestly say that I would feel more devestated at the thought of losing my sister than my beloved yorkie Bentley. I completely understand that people have legitimate reasons for having to give up their pet and sometimes it is not by choice. If someone lost their job and couldn't afford their apartment anymore and had to move in somewhere that didn't allow animals they may be forced to give their pet up. I also do respect that at least the couple Tammy is talking about is making the effort to find the dog a new home. However, my friends case is just unacceptable. I realize that in my post I just gave the basic story but if you knew this girl you would understand why I am so heated. She is just a selfish person who bought the dog b/c it is trendy to have little dogs and now doesn't want to have it b/c he is older. After I found her dog a new home, she asked her FI to buy her a puppy. These are the type of people I am referring to, so I hope you'll understand that my comments are directed towards selfish people, not people who legitimately have to give up their pet for a good reason. Also, I apologize if my post seemed as though I was comparing the life of a child to that of a dog. What I meant by my comment is that there are a lot of selfish people who get rid of their dogs b/c they are an inconvenience and instead of realizing that a pet is a huge responsibility and should be someone that you could consider a part of your family, they find any easy out. I would certainly hope that no one would put their child to sleep, like you said that would be murder. The point I was trying to get across is that to some people like my friend dogs are accessories, while in my home (and I know in a lot of other people's homes as well) Bentley is a part of the family. So what I meant to say was that you don't just get rid of members of your family b/c they inconvenience you, you try to make it work b/c you love them. Once again, I'm sorry if I offended you or anyone else.
