Amy the Mayan looks beautiful!!! I think its a great choice, especially if you have no time restriction and it sounds like a lot of stuff is included. I can definetly understand why you want to try to save some money especially if there is 4 people you will have to consider. BTW the other two hotels look just as lovely. My suggestion, maybe ask some of the photographers on this forum or maybe they will chime in, the only thing I would worry about is insulting them and that may just be me, worrying, hahaha! Maybe it happens all the time and they wouldn't think anything of it!

Amy, can I ask why you're changing venues? I noticed you wrote this somewhere else and was wondering. I think (and I may be wrong because I really don't know) that I would feel cheap making the photographer stay at a different resort, that is probably cheaper. Is it going to be a huge price difference? I would say if not, then I wouldn't, if you're going to save yourself $500, then maybe its worth thinking about. I guess my thought is would the photographer feel insulted that I didn't want to pay for them to stay at the same resort. Also, will you need to pay for a car for them or food? Is your resort AI? Will you have to pay for a day pass? I guess I would just consider everything.

Yeah, I always lose in my boobs too and I don't have much to start with so its frustrating! I haven't felt good all weekend, today was the worst, so except for a sandwich for dinner all I've eaten all day is popsicles, I haven't even attempted to count points. I wanted to go grocery shopping today, but I just feel so awful. So I'll probably go after work tomorrow and try to get myself back on track. Melissa I think it must be the 3 week mark or something because I know all of us have or are going through this, I guess you just get kind of sick of eating good all the time! But I really do want to get myself back on track, I haven't been writing things down and not exercising enough. Hopefully my new exercise videos will be here soon! I need those before I can even think about a bathing suit!

FI told me this weekend that he wanted to get me a pearl necklace as my wedding gift and to wear for the wedding. I told him not to tell me but he insisted that he had to tell me so I didn't plan to wear something else or buy something else and also so I can pick it out, hahaha! I'm kind of annoyed that he told me, but at the same time, I'm kind of glad because I don't know if I want a standard pearl necklace I might want something a little different, still pearls, but different. The other thing I was thinking is that I feel like I will have to wear pearl earrings if I have a pearl necklace. So I told FI I will also need earrings, hahaha, he loved that. But I also don't usually wear studs, I like earrings that dangle a little bit, anyone have any good ideas of where to go to buy pearls?

Hi Susan, We are getting married at dreams cancun a week after you, maybe you'll even still be there when we arrive! We decided on Claudia Rodriguez Photography Claudia Rodriguez, Photographer, Cancun & Riviera Maya, we are actually using one of her team members, Citlalli. They have been very responsive, there pictures are very good, and I thought there prices were reasonable. They also do video. As for music, we are thinking of doing the IPOD thing as well, it is $180/hour to rent the sound system +10% tax. The DJ is more, I can't remember off the top of my head, but claudia did tell me if you needed the DJ for 4 hours or more she could get us a better price, but we haven't decided yet. There are a lot of great photographers on this forum as well, some from mexico and others that you could fly in. It really depends on your budget. Elizabeth Medina is another great photographer from mexico, she's also a member here.

Yes, claudia does videos and has several different options & prices, I think I still have the pricing, if you'd like it send me a pm and I'll email it to you.

Welcome! I think it depends how many people you'll be having & how simple or not so simple you want your wedding to be. You can find a lot of information here on vendors and get a lot of questions answered, if you're having a smaller group a wc may not be necessary

I did & guest for anyone that didn't have a SO, I didn't want anyone to feel like they had to come to mexico by themselves for a vacation, I didn't really care even if they wanted to bring a friend.

I'd be scared, lol!!

we were kind of planning a girl activity & a boy activity the day before the wedding, but not sure yet, but I think we'll probably stay together the night before the wedding and then maybe have breakfast the next morning, maybe a couples massage, and then I'll leave to go get ready and the next time we see each other I'll be walking down the aisle!
