I don't understand programing. Maybe it is some tracking thing? Maybe it is to avoid lurkers? Whatever the reason - it doesn't matter as long as I am using them correctly. I was worried about having too few, so I began playing the lottery and have built up some points and no longer worry about that. So, I just use what I need and gain as I go. I am not trying to say that there shouldn't be a point system. I sort of like seeing mine grow and I like winning the lottery and all. I am just saying that I like to learn about things and have questions that I still don't know the answers to about the points. Not some huge deal. Just admitting that I don't know about it 100%. I have looked on here for explanations and can't find them. OMG!!! i have explained it to you too many times for you not to understand. I explained it in a PM and here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13166 Quote: Originally Posted by Jones4Me Does anyone know where to go to read about WHY there is a point system? Is there something to read about that? brandi, i will explain it to you once again even though it was explained in this thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t12631 and in our PM discusission. i copied the post AND bolded the section for you to make it easier for you to understand. let me know if you want me to make a powerpoint presentation for you. 3. there have been other complaints about this resort...i don't really push them because of customer service issues.

I have looked for detailed explanations, but can't find any really. (I haven't done what I was told was against the rules since I was informed!) i just don't know how you don't understand the point issue...its been posted about alot and you PM'd me for an explanation and i gave it to you. you can only feign ignorance for so long.
  5. This is a great opportunity for someone that is trying to book a last minute wedding. They had a cancellation for May 6-11. This is a small boutique resort that specializes in destination weddings. There are about 30 rooms so you would "lock out" the resort. Also, the date is very ideal for a wedding in Puerta Vallarta. For more information post here and I will get back to you. tammy

  8. Brandi, the shoutbox is not to be used that way...i am really starting to wonder if you are just looking for a reason to get banned...first you had an issue with points and now you can't follow ann's detailed instructions...i am really wondering if you are looking to get banned. tammy Quote: Originally Posted by Jones4Me That keeps happening to me too. 9. they are having a promo so if you have a wedding around that time make sure your guests with kids get in on the deal...if you have any question, ask here.
  10. welcome...what about this contest http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...9-3#post230602
  11. this is almost as bad as the croc issues where kids feet and toes were being pulled off when using escalators.
  12. i guess each situation is a little different. we had a DW and pretty much anyone that wanted to go was invited...but i did not want a bridal shower and ended up with 2...my co-workers insisted on one for me and alot of co-workers that i was not even close with came... maybe this shower is super casual with no gifts? i don't know...if there reason to invite you was to get alot of gifts then that is weird...
  13. welcome and if dreams cabo is one of your considerations, check out the bridal faire we have scheduled for June 2: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13276
  14. wow, you changed gears quickly but dreams is a great place to get married...for all you 2009 brides meet with vendors at the cabo bridal faire: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13276
  15. we're having a bridal faire in June where you can meet a bunch of vendors...you should use that as your site visit: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13276
  16. mine were about $20 each and included alot of the smaller things and shirts and hats...we found these hats for the guys fishing trips in vietnam for $1.25!....they are normally like $25! but sarahs were probably about $40 each...she had so much stuff in hers it was insane!
  17. shucks...you guys are too sweet but it is the members that make this place so great and are awesome moderator team that help keep spam, etc off the forum..YAY to us!!
  18. i agree with angela about the size of the resort. we had 2 private events at the hotel and one group dinner to the office (off resort) because i was worried that my guests would want a change of scenery but it wasn't necessary...actually more of a pain than anything...our group really just wanted to hang out with each other and that could have been in the same spot and it wouln't have taken away from the specialness of the event...but luckily at dreams they have different locations to have your private event and the way they decorate it, the food you get (4 course meal or buffet), open bar and the exclusive service really makes it a fantastic event.
  19. I am sure you guys have noticed the hordes of new members. BDW is growing FAST! we used to average about 1000 unique visitors a day...thats ALOT of people! well, yesterday we had a new high...we had over 2100 unique visitors on the forum. thanks to everyone: brides, grooms, vendors, friends, and family for helping BDW grow!!
  20. dreams and riu have an in-house wc that is free...or you can hire an outside wc also
