  1. room only $240 per night including taxes for double occupancy for early december 2008 for a deluxe room *. how can anyway on here give you air rates as you have not posted where you will fly from, exact dates, etc? * Price and all itinerary components displayed above remain subject to availability and change until complete payment (or payment satisfying our price-guarantee requirements) is received. ETA: my guess is air rates went up because the room rates are still pretty good...they are running a promo right now.
  2. what can i say that hasn't been already said?...amazing work leigh...you really set the bar high. any bride and groom that books you will be guaranteed amazing pics
  3. ok, nanny is here so i can do this... doing it now.
  4. ok, ran a maintenance diagnostic on the forum so it should be all updated
  5. the forum software updates the number of posts and members (but i don't know how often) so maybe it just hasn't noted those posts yet...weird...maybe i need to manually to a re-count.
  6. we may put the shoutbox back on if we go to a dedicated server...

I was just wondering if the fee is a standard fee...or based on how many people are being booked. If you were to charge a fee for your services...what would it be? I would like to confirm a ballpark amount before we pay our TA. We had 57 people at our wedding. Thank you for your input! Cherie well, we do get paid a commission...if i charged a retainer it would be credited back to the bride and groom when they booked their trip and would probably be like $100-200.

What would be an acceptable fee for the TA if this is done? Is it like a consultation fee? Is it based on the number of people booking? Thank you! Cherie i personally don't but have thought of charging a retainer that goes back towards bride and grooms trip...so many people contact me looking for information then disappear once they get the inforamtion they are looking for. it is a big waste of time and they dont even respond with a thank you or a explanation. the worst was the bride that had me book the wedding date, negotiate the group rate then had her sister get the commission...umm thanks....

Yes, I have searched and I read as much as I can get my hands on. However, there are threads several pages long and don't directly answer my specific questions. This message board is wonderful, but it has really irritated me seeing that done to other people as well. if this irritates you then go away...seriously. Morgan was not chastising you but stating what is considered good forum etiquette. learn it or leave.
  10. my friend sent this to me...it only takes a few seconds to help. Quote: Dear Friends, I am writing to you today with a request somewhat out of the ordinary and "non-business" related but I felt the moral obligation to do so and take time out of my hectic day that still has hours to go before it ends, to interrupt your busy schedules. As some of you may be aware, my brother Gabriel, who many of you know from working with me years back, now dedicates his life to raising awareness about the Genocide in Darfur, Sudan and trying to move those in power to act. At this time he is visiting the Darfurian refugee camps in Africa in Eastern Chad for the 4th time in two years and he brings to us once again, via his website Reports from N'djamena | Stop Genocide Now daily videos of his interviews with the refugees and a glimpse of the sad and dire conditions in which the refugees live. He also gives us an account of his daily experience and thoughts via an interactive blog along with a colleague who has joined him on this mission and a couple of young corporate humanitarians from Orange County who have also embraced the cause and traveled to Africa with the hope of building a school for the children in the camps. I ask that you take a few seconds of your time to sign a petition to President Bush urging him to rewrite his legacy of allowing genocide to happen. You just need to click on the following link and after entering your name and email address you will receive an email asking you to confirm your signature: Petition President Bush to change his genocide legacy | Stop Genocide Now. It takes only seconds. If you have another moment please visit: Day 3: Jan 21, 2008 | Stop Genocide Now You will see Gabe's short video of his visit today at one of the camps and another video with a message from "Macy Gray", a well known singer who Gabe had the opportunity to meet and is lending her voice to the cause. She will be visiting the camps with Gabe in March or April this year in an effort to raise more awareness.

He will go to corporate next week. how many rooms do you need? have you thought of just NOT doing a group block and just have your guests start booking right away?

And trying to beat eachother with points. Good times! yes, i remeber you all bitching about the switch so i had to entice you all with the arcade...there are some members taht were still posting on the old forum even though i posted it was an archive only and no new posts allowed....they would post in the "need help" section...too funny
  17. are you sure it would be that much? i just used approx. aire rates for 2008 and sort of speculated on room rates (used some block rates i have for 2009) and i am showing around $3300 ($1650 per person) for 2 people for 6 nights/7 days...that is a long trip. if you guests went for 4 or 5 days it would be alot less and that includes taxes, food, drinks, etc.
  18. it is farily easy to give them out...it is annoying that they are now starting to charge for it but i guess if they didn't then they could have dozens of bags in the reception area... we left them at reception and those that came late got theirs at our welcome dinner.
  19. i agree with angela...a DW doesn't have to be on saturday...sundays work just as well, if not better.
  20. riu is another AI in cabo but the last few weddings did not turn out that great...you can read kaceeng review but air is going to be costly for you and your NJ guests...what about dreams cancun? or cancun or riviera maya?
  21. dreams is super easy to plan a wedding at because the main costs are fixed...what other information are you looking for..? i book alot of weddings there... ETA: i just saw you emailed me...i emailed you back.
