These are two pictures I snuck at the Alfred Angelo store. I needs a trumpet slip underneath to poof it out, but I absolutely love it. I had some doubts because it took nearly 6 months to get to me, but I am really happy with how it makes me look and the price :-).

The color on these pictures is awful. The dress is a diamond white, and not yellowy. I plan on wearing my Mom's lace veil from her wedding in 1979.

Just thought I would share!

It actually comes with a detachable one shoulder strap, which you can see in the view from the back, the consultant tucked in across the top of the dress. I always liked one shoulder dresses, but I actually didn't like this one so I won't be having one.

That's me on the right. I went to a sample sale with my girlfriend from work who's also getting married :)

It's not what I thought I would end up choosing (I was trying to be practical and thought a flowey sheath style) but I just fell in love! I went back the next day to buy it with my Mom (thank god it was still there - meant to be). It has little flowers and crystals all over the bodice, and it fits perfectly :D  And it's light and airy, so hopefully I won't cook too badly LOL

I must've tried on over 20 dresses between all the places... I can tell you, when you've found "the one", you definitely know it!

I bought my dress back in September and it just came in so I went to try it on. I really like it, I just see so many flowy, plain dresses that I like and feel like would suit me better. What do you guys think? Is this dress too formal/got too much going on for a beach wedding? I only tried on a few dresses before buying this one, so maybe I'm just freaking out now that the wedding's closer and I haven't yet lost those 15lbs I was planning on dropping :)

I think it looks great on you without the 15lbs gone! I don't think it is too dressy for a beach wedding either. I don't think there is really a rule anymore that a beach wedding requires a simpler dress. I have seen quite a few elaborate dresses used for beach weddings and they look fantastic.

That being said only you can decide what you think of the dress. I had a little bit of buyers remorse myself because I fell in love with a dress first thing, and six months later, when it comes in, I have seen pics of so many other dresses. It did pass though. Trying on my dress solidified that it really was the one for me. If you love the dress, you love the dress.

Either way, you will look fabulous in whatever dress you wear!

Hi Everyone,

This is my dress!! After looking for several months I finally made a decision to say yes to the dress (I purchased it at Kleinfeld).lol I'm a size two and this particular dress is a size 10 so the fitting and look is completely off but this is what the dress looks like.  Sorry, my friend cut my head off when she took the picture. Didn't know until I took the dress off. Let me know what you think....

Gorgeous!  My dress also has lace with beading - I think the sunshine will make the sparkle spectacular!  I originally thought I would be more practical too but my consultant kept reminding me its your wedding day and your gown - do what makes you happy now what people assume you should wear on the beach.  If you love it, it will be perfect where ever you are!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
