Thanks everyone for your kind words! It really helps to have an unbiased opinion - you never know if your friends are telling you what they think you want to hear; some of them were supportive of some pretty awful dresses :)

dallace - I'm getting married in Mexico in August, so I'll be melting right along with you. I think I'm going to get some of the skirt taken out and the front is pretty flowy, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get some ventilation going. Anyone have any tips to keep the sweat to a "glow"? I guess my boyfriend will be the main one doing the sweating anyway :)

MJKH - That's probably a great idea to buy a second more simple, flowy dress and take some pictures in it to satisfy my need for something simple.

MissBubbles205 - I actually bought it in a trunk show last year before it was available so it was really reasonably priced. On their website http://www.allurebridals.com/ you can search where to buy though. It's Allure - Exclusive Collection - #2511. Here are some photos so you can get a better look.

Thanks again for your input everyone! Now that I've gotten such positive feedback from you guys I kinda want to go try it on again & get excited about it!

MissBubbles205 - I actually bought it in a trunk sale last year before it was available for wide purchase so I'm not sure where carries it. I know on their website http://www.allurebridals.com/ you can search for stores that carry the label. It's Allure - Exclusive Collection - #2511. I'll include a picture to give you a better idea of what it's like.

I as well was under the same assumption. I ordered mine at the end of January and was told that it wouldnt be in for 8 months!

wow, guess I was lucky! I wasn't expecting it until Feb or March...that was the expectation they set when I ordered it. Even Feb was 3 months, and March was only 4...

Ya I was told up to 8 months. I think they say that just incase it does take that entire 8 months to come. Mine however came in at the 6 month mark. From what  the sales lady told me, once the order goes out thats when they start to make the dress. So no wonder it takes so long.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
