Show us your wedding dress!

I absolutely love lace-ups. Many of us buy are dresses way in advance of the wedding and the lace-up allows the dress to fit perfectly regardless of any minor changes in weight and without alterations. That being said, I actually chose a dress that doesn't lace up. I was considering having it converted, but I think my dress would loose a bit of its charm if I did. But, I was originally planning to purchase a different dress that was lace-up. My mom watched the sales person lace it up and then repeated the process herself to make sure that she knew how to do it.

All of you ladies look so freakin' gorgeous!! i love how different everyone's dresses are, but each one is just such a perfect fit for the girl who picked it! Amazing!

You're so sweet to ask... Second fitting is not until March 14! It's going to look like a completely different dress, I want it done now LOL Tell me your progress, and remind me of your dress choice?

Oh ya I also wanted to add that certain dresses just look better as buttons and others better as lace ups, especially ones with a fuller bottom, like a ballgown look better as lace ups.  More sleek clean lined dresses look better with buttons. I'm actually suprised at how many women on here prefer lace ups. I could only imagine how well they fit, I never tried one on so I dont know. I am hoping though that my dress creates that skin tight feel too.

Well stated kellygrrrl

that is mt exact opinion and my dress has a hidden zipper also, though I wouldn't have been a againt button up either.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
