  3. I think alot of girls have opted to do a planning journal rather then a review, I had so many little details I worked on in the past year I didnt want to search for all my templates and pics to put into the planning journal. So i just did a quick review on dreams cancun in that section.
  4. they disabled that section, now you can go to "resort review" tab and look up the specific resort and check out the reviews on them from brides on bestdestinationwedding.com
  5. Hi again bncandi !! We had ours at dreams Cancun and our guests paid 1650 for a 10 night stay, or 1450 for a 7 night stay. We came from Vancouver Canada with west jet and booked our flights and hotel separate. My biggest advice would be get a good travel agent who knows the resorts in the area. I was lost when I started planning a year ago, but reading this site and reviews and then also looking on hotels website about their wedding pacakges, were a big help. Happy planning !
  6. Hi Bncandi, We just got home from our destination wedding at dreams cancun. We chose the ultimate package which included everything except bridesmaid flowers and groomsmen boutineers. We brought our own centerpieces, chair sashes and table runners, as well as made programs and menus, the wedding co-ordinator set it all up without charge. We also added a light up dance floor and lights under the table for our reception on the beach. With our 40 guests we ended up paying around 4000 dollars for our wedding package and extras. To be honest you could take the bare bones package with no add on's for 2999 and you would be so happy with it. I dont include our flight and hotel to this because it was a vacation for us, which we take every year anyways. Destination weddings are more affordable, as long as you are smart with it.
  7. Here is the link to my review, If you have any other questions please let me know !! I got so much help from the girls on here. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/dreams-cancun-resort-spa-luxury-all-inclusive/reviews/6705
  8. We checked it as a second piece of luggage, with west jet that only costs 20 bucks. Since it was a expensive piece of equipment we did put insurance on it as well, my mom did that, I think it might have been around 100 bucks.
  9. pamela7 We brought our own decorations because the price to rent from them was ridiculous , 4 dollars per chair sash and 15 dollars for a table cloth. Centerpieces were anywhere from 60-150. We borrowed our own amp and speaker system with a microphone and they provided the extension cord for free and we did all of our own music with a friend of the family being the mc. I was totally worth it to save the 180 per hour. jennymay2013 We had our travel agent handle all of the final details with the resort in terms of how many guests will be there, you cant give a for sure number until everyone has paid.
  10. I used picaboo. I got a groupon for it and it worked out perfectly. Not sure about the min pages allowed
  11. I gave myself just over 2 months to do the pics and order the book online
  12. Thanks !! So glad I could help fellow brides I was really on the fence about ordering from here but so glad we did. We only put a liner in my husbands suit cause he was in all White.. I wouldnt bother doing it with a darker color
  13. Just posted my review, I love Dreams Cancun ! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/dreams-cancun-resort-spa-luxury-all-inclusive/reviews/6705
  14. We chose tropical grey and we ordered the suits to size, I had some issues with this as I sent them to a seamstress to get sized but they did not give us all of the specific measurements we needed, only ones you would need to order a pre set suit. So I ended up following their directions and did true to size on most of them but did round up if it was a half size. It was really nerve wracking but the size worked perfectly for everyone except one guy, and in his case we took it to a seamstress and got it let out an inch or 2 and it fit perfect. Also if the guy is a bigger man I would add one inch as they were snug fitting and its better safe then sorry. (we added 1.5 or 2 inches for my husbands since we ordered his first and it was waaaay too big. Just had to get it taken in) All the guys were impressed with the suits and how they fit them perfect and it was a good keep sake since they can wear them again. As for duty we ordered all the suits in orders of 2 at a time and the hubbys suit on his own and we only got dinged with duty on one suit it seems, which came out to 49 bucks. Us Canadians are always getting ripped off haha. I hope these pics help out as I was so unsure myself if it would be worth it, and it was for sure. They all looked soooo sharp. The ties were bought from ebay for 5 bucks each !! I had originally bought them from ahfashion online for 10 bucks each and they incorrectly sent me a dark green color and would not rectify it for me so we were out 60 bucks. So fyi DONT buy from that company.
  15. Here is an awesome shot of my hubby showing his fave page
  16. Here is my bouquet, I got it from marvin at maya floral, he was great ! and here is one of mine and the bridesmaid bouquets
  17. Here are the groomsmen attire in action. They all fit perfectly except for 2 guys, one toughed through the tight pants and the other had it taken out a little. We were really happy with how they looked, I would say it is worth it to order from studio suits
