PLEASE CHECK YOUR PASSPORT AND MAKE SURE IT IS VALID FOR SIX MONTHS AFTER WE LEAVE FOR THE TRIP.  THIS IS A MEXICAN RULE, AND THEY WILL NOT LET YOU IN.  Check it while you read this, so nobody is scrambling for a 24hr rush passport.  Jeff may or may not have had to do this before.

Just an addition here- for CANADIANS, I just checked this: http://embamex.sre.gob.mx/canada_eng/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1241%

Canadian nationals must present a valid passport to prove their nationality. Mexican authorities do not require a minimum period of validity of passports; nevertheless, this document must be valid at the time of entry and during the period you wish to be in Mexico.

Im really starting to get addicted to this website...

Thank you for the replies to my previous questions...

Does anyone know how easy it is to waver the outside vendors fee?? Im getting an outside vendor to do my  hair and makeup, really because Ive got a tattoo that I want airbrushing for my big day. Do you think I can get away with paying for just a day pass? Or will they sting me for theoutside  vendors fee??

Oh and do you think its better if we just put the essentials on the Wedding planning form and go through all the extras when we get to the resort in the wedding meeting with Pilar? Do you think we will get a better deal?

many thanks...again...

For passport concerns - ask your travel agent. I asked because a woman in our flight in January was turned away when we got to Mexico ... So I may be being over cautious, but I just want to make sure all is good. Khunt - thanks for that link. I am going to have it saved in case something does come about.

I can't believe how close my date is arriving!  I have decided to move my reception to the bamboo room bases on the layout of the the Ocean Terrace and want to get table clothes for the table.  Does anyone know the sizes of the round tables used in the Bamboo room?

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
